Kim was disappearing. He looked at the girl—Elena's child—and found her smiling and playing just like he used to when his father left him for another woman.
Kim was afraid that the child would become what he became. His mother was kind and gentle, yet he turned into a demon. And Elena was kind and honest-hearted. He didn't know what to do.
He wanted to look into her future, but Amon told him: "No. Because looking into the future has consequences and requires sacrifice so you don't lose your eyesight or something else."
Kim moved quickly toward her, but everyone panicked. All the children ran away, and the girl too.
Kim sat down to examine what they had been playing with. Everyone was surprised. In a minute, all the guards gathered.
Kim looked at them and told them that if he wanted to kill them, he would have done it. He looked at the girl who was hiding with one of the female guards.
He called her: "Little girl, would you accept me as your father?"
Everyone looked in shock, and the child told him she didn't want to be the daughter of a demon.
He told her to convince her mother about that. Then he vanished.
Kim went to her. He remained sitting beside her for long hours, but what his eyes saw changed everything.
The reflection of the sunset on her face added an extra light to the light of her features. Kim was enchanted by that face.
But the only face that remained in his mind was the face of Mary (his dead lover).
