Author's Diary — Auxiliary
This is a diary. Keep out.
....
I see.. Curious, aren't you? I'm Frienzi — a Timeless Author. I go by many names throughout history. Call me anything, or not at all, and for I'm a slave of remembrance.
What you're about to delve in, is a story of no return, grab what you could reach, and pray that there won't be anything besides or behind you while you're reading.
Welcome stranger, to this diary, written by who is forgotten..
Act I | The Relics
"They do not worship the saints, but their bones; they do not seek God, but his fragments."
— Erasmus De Rotterdam (1466-1536)
Gospel of Nyx
With this gospel in this hand, traversing through time is not a myth, but a reality which I denied. Will you lend me a hand in this godforsaken deliverance?
Mnemosyne's Quill
Ah, the pen of the bloody author. It writes faithfully, but the bastard never told me what they paid in exchange. Ink is cheap, blood is cheaper. It is time to rewrite that which has been written.
Century Compasss
I could imagine even the great Columbus would be lost without a compass, I'm no better. No matter if the terrain was changed over time in history, the compass navigated all the same. But can one truly return to where the journey first sailed?
Act II | Factions
"Men are divided less by differences of doctrine than by differences of interest."
— Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821)
Priests of Time
Yes.. the folks in white robes, such holy blasphemers, one that does not touch the ground, never truly live. One would rather be impaled a thousand times over than to be silently recorded.
Timeless Authors
In a pursuit of knowledge, I'm not alone. Who knows how many great blasphemers live outside of time's thin thread? But blasphemy comes with its own principle. If we were to meet our demise, then we shall do it as one.
Masked Memorians
The mask.. it foretold stories of millions. The mask is as haunting as ever, I could barely escape the vanguards in my sleep. If your enemy didn't kill you in your bed, they will.
Beyonders of Fiction
They say there are many ways to pay gratitude. Don't fret, I don't forget about you, my friend. Your name is engraved in this gospel. So as those before and after you.
Act III | Eras to Visit
"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end."
— Ursula K. Le Guin (1929-2018)
Hundred Years War
Orleans'? Such a dangerous destination, I should keep my distance so I don't get caught in the fire.
Jerusalem (Crusade Reign)
The mighty Leper King, not feared, but respected by his enemies. Which matters more? A gratitude from a friend, or a pat on the back by your enemy?
Ottoman Caliphate
Is it even possible for men to drag 70 warships across the land? The dedication is plausible I must say.. for a piece of a damned land.
Athens, Sparta, Persia
I remember when the world had great scholars walking on God's forsaken soil. I've heard whispers of a once mighty general who tricked three kingdoms in his short lifespan.
Holy Roman Empire
There was a story of two brothers who wanted to build a kingdom on top of two mountains, and it shall be so that our roads will lead to Rome. But what if one were to.. rewrite the path?
Final Act | Missions
"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
— Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)
Missions.. the plan hasn't changed, We see, we write, we change. And so we carry this creed to the grave.
Come.. let's defy this past..
Come, let's defy this fate.
Come! Let's defy the Judgement of Flaw!
Sincerely by,
