Chapter 188 - Sukuna Reappears

"Hey, brat. I can save your big brother, and I can promise I won't hurt him."

Kenjaku and Choso were still fighting, but Choso's disadvantage was becoming more and more obvious.

Sensing the cursed tool getting closer, Sukuna changed his mind. He had already figured out why Kenjaku hadn't killed Choso yet, and it annoyed him a little, that guy making his own moves like this.

But this was still a rare opportunity.

Besides, given the current situation, even if he didn't step in, that trash named Choso would most likely be saved by the "Mukuro Fushiguro" rushing down here.

So instead of that, he might as well take advantage of it himself.

"Then hurry up!"

Seeing Choso getting beaten again and again, Yuji was already panicking.

During this time together, he had truly felt the care and concern from Choso and the others. And deep down, he had already accepted these suddenly appeared "brothers."

Even trading his own life to save them would be fine.

"Of course, there are conditions. We need to form a binding vow."

Inside Sukuna's innate domain, he sat high upon a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, resting his chin on one hand as he looked down at Yuji.

"Then say it!"

Yuji frowned, a bit cautious. As long as Sukuna's demands weren't too excessive, he was willing to compromise to save his brother.

"First, when I say the word 'Enchain,' you will hand your body over to me for one minute. During that time, I promise I won't harm anyone."

"Second, you will forget this conversation between us."

There was no need to force him into something extreme. Sukuna already had a good plan in mind.

"Deal!"

There was no time to hesitate, and just the words "won't harm anyone" were enough to lower Yuji's guard. After all, no one breaks a binding vow, not even Sukuna.

"Switch."

In the next instant, the aura around Yuji changed. Dark markings spread across his body, and beneath his eyes, another pair of small eyes opened.

Their entire conversation had taken less than a blink.

By now, Choso had already been completely defeated.

Since his trump card technique was exposed, Kenjaku no longer had any reason to hold back.

A powerful gravitational force slammed Choso to the ground. Kenjaku then raised his right leg, now transformed into a blade.

"Yuji…"

Choso was still thinking about his younger brother lying not far away.

"That's enough."

Just as Kenjaku's blade was about to fall, Sukuna's deep voice rang out.

It wasn't a warning. It was an order.

Just two simple words, yet Kenjaku's blade stopped midair, less than ten centimeters away from Choso.

Ryomen Sukuna had always been the embodiment of absolute lawlessness in the jujutsu world, and even as an old acquaintance, Kenjaku would never be foolish enough to defy him.

"Yuji?!"

Choso turned his head, and the moment he saw Yuji's appearance, he understood everything.

But the pain in his heart… no one could know it.

"Looks like everything went smoothly~"

At this moment, Kenjaku's gravity technique was about to end. He calmly stepped away from Choso, then took out a small pouch from his robe and tossed it toward Sukuna.

Everything was proceeding exactly according to his plan.

No matter what, the chaos in Shibuya would spread. The Culling Game had already begun. And judging from Sukuna's state, it seemed a binding vow had already been made, one that worked in his favor.

Next… it was time for Sukuna to cause havoc.

"Not bad at all~"

Sukuna opened the pouch.

Inside lay eleven of his fingers, turned into cursed objects.

(Since Suguru hadn't died, Nanako and the others never collected the fingers, so they all ended up in Kenjaku's hands.)

"They… know each other?!"

Inside the inner world, Yuji froze, as the situation had completely gone beyond anything he expected.

And before Yuji could recover from that shock, Sukuna directly pulled out two fingers and shoved them into his mouth.

Power that originally belonged to him began to surge.

"This is bad!"

Yuji instinctively tried to take back control of his body, but in just those few seconds, Sukuna had already swallowed several more fingers in a row.

Unsurprisingly, Yuji failed.

Even as a perfect vessel capable of suppressing Sukuna's will, absorbing too many fingers at once caused Sukuna's overwhelming power to suppress him instead. His body couldn't adapt fast enough.

"Damn you, Sukuna… give me back my brother!"

Witnessing this scene, Choso staggered to his feet and rushed forward, trying to stop him from eating more fingers. Even knowing Yuji was a "vessel," he couldn't help but feel afraid.

Afraid his brother would never come back.

"Don't get in my way."

In the blink of an eye, Sukuna's power had reached the level of ten fingers. As Choso lunged at him, Sukuna vanished and reappeared behind him.

Then, with a casual chop to the back of his neck Choso's eyes rolled back, and his exhausted body collapsed to the ground.

Sukuna then quickly swallowed the rest of the fingers in the pouch.

Including the one Yuji already had as a vessel, he had now recovered the power of sixteen fingers.

Yuji's consciousness was completely suppressed. For now, there was no chance of him regaining control.

"There are still a few fingers left. Your old little follower has them. Just in case, I told her not to come here yet." Kenjaku spoke calmly.

The Culling Game had just begun, and the accumulation of resentment still wasn't complete. He couldn't allow Sukuna to return to near full power just yet.

"Follower… Uraume? So she's back too."

A different kind of smile appeared on Sukuna's face.

Not the usual bloodthirsty grin, but something closer to genuine delight.

That person… was one of the only two individuals in the past thousand years who had influenced his choices.

Boom!

Just then, the staircase that had been destroyed earlier collapsed further, the rubble exploding outward as chunks of stone flew straight toward the two of them.

But right before they could hit, Sukuna casually raised two fingers and flicked.

The stones were instantly sliced apart, turning into fragments that scattered across the ground.

Clang!

The slash didn't stop. It continued forward along its path, cutting into the dust-filled staircase.

From within the smoke, the sound of blades clashing rang out.

Then a tall, muscular figure stepped out, his powerful build looked like it could tear apart the tight clothes on his body at any moment.

"Hm? Not that Mukuro Fushiguro guy?"

Sukuna looked over, and seeing that it wasn't the man he expected, a trace of disappointment crossed his face.

He had been looking forward to properly teaching that arrogant brat a lesson.
