Chapter 2 - The God Who Waited

Darkness.

That was all Jinwoo Han felt after death—endless, suffocating darkness. He had lived like a king, died like a king, and now… there was nothing.

"Jinwoo Han."

The voice shattered the void like thunder. Jinwoo opened his eyes and found himself before a figure of endless light—neither man nor woman, but a presence vast and eternal.

"…Who are you?" Jinwoo asked, his voice cold and steady.

"I am what your kind calls God," the figure replied. "And you… are a man who clawed his way to the throne of the mortal world."

Jinwoo smirked bitterly. "A throne? No. I built an empire from the gutter, out of nothing. I was ruthless, because weakness has no place in this world. If I had to destroy, I destroyed. That is the law of survival."

"Yes," God said calmly. "You rose from an orphaned child in Busan to a man whose name shook the business world. You built an empire worth billions. Yet you died as you were born—alone. And still, in your heart, there was always one desire you never fulfilled."

For the first time, Jinwoo's gaze faltered. His voice dropped to a whisper.

"…A family. Someone to call mine."

The light pulsed softly, almost like a heartbeat. "That longing kept you human. For that, I shall give you a second chance. Not in your world, but in another—a story created by your kind. A world called Lookism."

"Lookism?" Jinwoo frowned. "I've never heard of it."

God raised a hand, and the void rippled. Images appeared: Park Hyung-Seok—weak, overweight, bullied mercilessly. His mother, endlessly kind, working herself half to death for her son. A miracle: a second body, tall and strong, that changed everything.

"This is Daniel Park," God said. "At the age of ten, you will awaken in his body. His story is one of weakness and struggle. But with your mind… his fate may change beyond recognition."

Jinwoo's lips curled into a thin smile. "A weak boy with a mother who loves him more than life itself. Hah. You do know how to tempt me, God."

"Temptation is not needed," God replied. "Choice is yours. If you accept, I will grant you three wishes—anything you desire to carry into this new life."

Silence stretched across the void. Then Jinwoo's eyes gleamed, sharp and hungry like a predator's.

"Three wishes…" he muttered. His cruel smile widened. "Very well. I know exactly what I want."

He stepped forward, standing tall before the divine light. His voice dropped into a deadly calm.

"My first wish is…"
