Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Between Claws and Teeth

SCARLETT

I had never felt so alive.

Two Alphas. Two storms colliding. And I, the lightning bolt sparking between them.

Darius's grip on my wrist was bruising, Kael's gaze searing through me with molten hunger. The corridor still echoed with the crack of their fight, blood dripping from Kael's side, Darius's lip split and bleeding. The metallic tang hung in the air, mixing with the heady scent of arousal that clung to all three of us.

And I loved it.

"You can kill each other later," I purred, tilting my chin upward, my eyes glittering like emerald fire. "But right now… I want both of you."

The silence that followed was sharp, dangerous.

Darius's amber eyes widened in shock, his wolf snarling beneath the surface. Kael's golden gaze darkened, his jaw tightening as though he couldn't believe I'd spoken the words aloud.

But I meant every one of them.

I leaned into Darius, my lips grazing the cut on his mouth, tasting the copper of his blood as my tongue darted out. He growled low in his chest, his grip tightening on me as though punishing me for my betrayal.

And yet, when I stretched my other hand toward Kael, fingers curling into the bloodied fabric of his shirt, Kael didn't resist. He stepped closer, his broad frame pressing against my other side until I was trapped between them, caged by muscle, heat, and raw Alpha power.

My breath hitched, my body trembling as my wicked little smile returned.

"Yes," I whispered. "Like this."

Darius snarled. "You want him watching while I take you?"

Kael growled back, his lips brushing my ear as he murmured, "She wants us both. Can't you see it? She'll never belong to just one of us."

I moaned softly, my thighs clenching at the truth in his words. "I don't want to belong," I breathed. "I want to burn."

That was all it took.

Darius's mouth crashed down on mine, violent and punishing, even as Kael's hand slid up my thigh, rough and possessive. I gasped into the kiss, the shock of two Alphas touching me at once making my body quake with hunger.

The corridor filled with growls and gasps, their rivalry bleeding into lust as both men touched me, fought over me, claimed me in different ways.

Darius's hands tangled in my hair, yanking my head back to bare my throat as he bit hard enough to bruise. I cried out, my nails clawing his chest, but my hips arched into Kael's hand as he pushed my torn dress higher, fingers finding my wet heat and stroking mercilessly.

My legs nearly buckled.

"Scarlett," Kael growled against my ear, his fingers sliding deeper, making me gasp. "You're dripping for me."

"She's mine," Darius snarled, shoving me harder against the wall, grinding his arousal into my stomach. "Say it, Scarlett. Tell him you're mine."

My lips parted, a wicked laugh spilling out between moans. "I'm both of yours."

Their answering growls shook me to my core.

Kael's fingers worked me faster, rougher, until my cries echoed through the stone corridor. Darius's teeth dragged down my throat, leaving savage marks over the one that already bound me to him. My body writhed between them, pleasure spiraling higher and higher until I was gasping, trembling, begging without shame.

"Please—" I choked out, my nails raking both their bodies. "Don't stop—"

Neither Alpha stopped.

They devoured me, consumed me, until the edges of my vision blurred. When my climax ripped through me, it was violent, tearing a scream from my throat that bounced off the walls, my body shaking as both Alphas held me upright, refusing to let me fall.

But even as pleasure still pulsed through my veins, my cunning mind was already calculating.

Because this wasn't just lust.

This was power.

And I had both Alphas wrapped around my finger.

Kael's hand lingered possessively on my thigh, his lips brushing my ear as he growled, "He'll never satisfy you like I can."

Darius's chest heaved, his grip still iron around my waist as he snarled back, "She belongs to me. I marked her first."

I laughed breathlessly, my lips swollen, my body aching. "Oh, Alphas… you still don't understand."

Both men froze, their glowing eyes fixed on me.

I tilted my head, my wicked smile returning as I whispered:

"I'll never belong to just one of you. You'll belong to me."

The corridor fell silent, the weight of my words heavier than any mark or chain.

And then—before either Alpha could respond—

A third voice cut through the air, smooth and deadly.

"Well, well… what do we have here?"

My blood ran hot with thrill as my head snapped toward the sound.

Alpha Lucien.

The third.

And he had seen everything.

My pulse thrummed like war drums in my ears as I met the piercing, obsidian gaze of Alpha Lucien.

The third.

The one who never spoke unless it was to command.

He leaned casually against the far wall of the corridor, his arms folded, his sharp jaw shadowed in torchlight. Unlike Kael and Darius, his fury wasn't loud, wasn't wild. It was silent. Dangerous.

And that terrified me more than either of the others.

Darius stiffened, his grip on me tightening as he snarled, "Lucien, this isn't—"

"Save your excuses." Lucien's voice cut through the air like a blade. Smooth, calm, but threaded with something darker. His gaze slid over the three of us, lingering on my torn dress, my flushed skin, the bruises blooming across my throat. His lips curved into a slow, knowing smile. "I see enough."

Kael stepped forward, his golden eyes flashing with defiance. "If you think you'll lecture me, Lucien, don't. She came to me."

My lips parted, a breathless laugh slipping free at the way they all scrambled to stake their claims. As though I wasn't standing right there, the queen of this forbidden game.

Lucien's dark gaze snapped to me, pinning me where I stood. Unlike the others, he didn't snarl, didn't growl. He didn't need to. Power radiated from him in waves, colder, sharper than Kael's fire or Darius's storm.

"Scarlett." My name rolled off his tongue like a command, not a question. "Step away from them."

My thighs clenched involuntarily. Gods, the way he spoke my name—like I already belonged to him.

Darius growled low, possessive. "She's mine, Lucien. Don't interfere."

Kael spat blood onto the floor, his grin feral. "She'll never be yours, Lucien. She's tasted me. She's already chosen."

I tilted my chin, a wicked smile tugging at my lips as I stepped forward, slipping free of Darius's grip just to watch him snarl. I sauntered toward Lucien with a deliberate sway in my hips, my torn dress threatening to slide off my shoulders.

All three Alphas' eyes followed me.

"Chosen?" I whispered, my green eyes glittering as I looked between them. "Oh no, Alphas… I haven't chosen anyone yet."

The air grew thick with tension.

I stopped just in front of Lucien, close enough to feel the heat radiating from his body. I tilted my head, my smile a dagger. "The game hasn't even begun."

Lucien's lips curved in the faintest smirk, his dark eyes locked on mine. And for the first tim

e, my wicked heart skipped. Because Lucien wasn't just furious.

He was amused.

And that made him the most dangerous of them all.
