The crack in the sky kept widening, violet light pulsing like the veins of a giant. The alien whispers pressed harder, making the walls of my consciousness tremble. Qin at the front line was growing weary, his movements slowing after fending off both the gray humanoid and the giant insect.
I, the main body, was still hiding beneath the tree roots, my body covered in wounds. Though my breath was heavy, the consciousness I channeled into the two Avatars kept me fighting.

Qin swung his sword, deflecting the thrust of the gray humanoid's spear. Meanwhile, the female Avatar leapt to the side, the tree branch in her hand trembling like a makeshift spear.
That female body was lighter, more flexible. I could feel an agility I could never manage with my main body.
"Now!" I directed a cross attack.
Qin blocked the spear head-on, while the female Avatar jabbed at the humanoid's knee. The fragile joint cracked, making the gray body stumble.
Qin instantly slashed diagonally—his blade piercing through the enemy's chest.

As another humanoid rushed in with an alien cry, I felt a new pulse from within the female Avatar. The space around her subtly quivered, making the spear that should have pierced Qin suddenly veer off, as if its path had been bent by an unseen current.
Qin's eyes widened in shock.
> "That…?"
I exhaled.
> "Your new ability. Make use of the opening!"
Qin immediately slashed, this time cutting through the humanoid's neck, sending its head tumbling. Black blood splattered the ground.

I focused my awareness—controlling Qin from the front, the female Avatar from the side. Qin's sword pierced its chest, while the wooden branch drove through its back.
The gray body shuddered, then dissolved into black mist.

In the sky, the crack still yawned wide. Thin violet tentacles began creeping out, accompanied by whispers growing ever clearer.
I clenched my teeth.
> "If things are already this bad at the basic level… if something stronger descends, this world will be destroyed."
But I had one advantage.
I wasn't just one person.
I was the main body, Qin, and the female Avatar.
And if necessary… I would create even more.
