Chapter 6 - Greed vs Guardianship

People lived happily with their dragons, using their power and enjoying life. But the king was different he had no dragon of his own. Filled with greed and envy, the king made an announcement: "Whoever gives me a dragon will receive great rewards, the prize depending on the dragon's size."

At first, people were hesitant. But when they saw others getting gold, diamonds, and treasures, they thought, "We lived without dragons for years; we can do it again. The rewards are far greater." One by one, people began handing over their dragons to the king.

Soon, the city grew quiet. Fewer and fewer dragons could be seen in the skies. The hero noticed this strange change and wondered why the king was collecting so many dragons. He searched for an answer but found none.

Days passed. With greed growing in their hearts, some people even began attacking others to steal their dragons, just to claim the king's prize.

Eventually, the hero's dragon drew attention. It was enormous, powerful, and unmatched. Whispers spread, and greedy eyes turned toward him. When he heard of their plans to steal his dragon, the hero grew angry and nervous. "I must protect my dragon… but how?"

Determined to uncover the truth, he flew to the king's palace. There, he saw a heartbreaking sight: dragons chained, treated like mere pets, their wings clipped and their strength subdued. Rage burned inside him. After investigating further, he discovered the king's dark plan weak dragons were to be killed, while the strongest would be trained as weapons to expand his power and wage war against other kingdoms.

Meanwhile, people tried again and again to capture the hero's dragon, but it was too mighty for ordinary men. Each attempt failed.

Finally, the hero decided it was time to end this. He set out for the palace, sword in hand. Soldiers rushed to stop him, but he fought bravely, defeating them one by one. In desperation, the king released the captured dragons to attack the hero.

The dragons charged, but the hero lifted his sword high to the sky. Suddenly, his own dragon flew toward him, and at that moment, all the other dragons fell silent. Recognizing his bond with them, they bowed their heads. Every dragon now awaited his command.

The tables had turned. The king trembled as the dragons surrounded him. Falling to his knees, he begged for mercy: "Please, forgive me!"

The hero spared his life. "Do not harm your people again," he warned, releasing the dragons back into the skies where they belonged.

And so, freedom returned to the city, and the bond between dragons and people was restored.
