Chapter 7 - Ch.7 The Tale of Ethan Horus

Long ago, on a golden island, stood the kingdom of Horus. It was rich, proud, and powerful.

And within its palace was born a boy of destiny—Ethan Horus, heir to the throne.

From childhood, Ethan was trained to lead—sharp in mind, strong in body, and born for greatness.

But fate turned cruel when he was only fifteen.

One night, the skies burned red. The rival kingdom of Gulivis attacked with fire and steel—not to conquer, but to destroy.

Flames devoured the capital. Screams filled the air. Blood ran like rivers.

Inside the palace, the king gave his final order.

"Doro! Take Ethan and protect him with your life!"

Doro, the Wing Commander, obeyed. He dragged Ethan through burning halls and broken gates, cutting down soldiers until they reached the secret docks.

But there, death awaited.

A storm of arrows fell. Doro shielded Ethan with his body. His armor shattered. His flesh tore. With his last breath, he shoved Ethan into a boat.

"Run… live…"

The river swallowed them both. The kingdom of Horus was lost.

But destiny was not finished.

Downstream, fishermen found Ethan's broken body. He carried three arrows—in his shoulder, his thigh, and his leg. Still, his heart beat.

The villagers nursed him for weeks, yet he did not wake.

At last, an elder said, "Take him to the altar. Let the gods decide his fate."

Laid before the statue of the divine, Ethan's eyes suddenly opened. His wounds vanished. Dark clouds gathered overhead.

He rose, gripping the staff in the god's hand. A power beyond man filled his body.

Ethan flew to Gulivis, where the enemy king had begun a darker ritual. They opened the abyss and summoned Goradong, the three-headed dragon of destruction.

Wherever it walked, the land itself vanished.

"Let the Kingdom of Horus be erased!" the enemy king roared.

Lightning tore across the sky. Ethan appeared, glowing like a storm made flesh. Thunder and winds clashed against fire and darkness.

For three days and three nights, Ethan fought Goradong without rest. At last, he forced the beast back into the abyss.

Peace returned—

but the hero's life was fading.

Weak and tired, Ethan went back to the altar at Hornes Village. In front of the god's statue, he laid down the staff.

His body hardened into stone, standing forever like a pharaoh guarding his people.

And so, the tale of Ethan Horus ended—

not with a crown, but with sacrifice.

Tony slowly closed the book. His heart was racing.

*Thud*

Tony flinched. A bag had fallen beside his desk. Frowning, he bent down and opened it. Inside was a sleek laptop with glowing edges, unlike anything he had seen before.

"No password?" he muttered, as the screen lit up at his touch.

Strange symbols flickered across the display. Then, words appeared.

[Welcome, Tony.]

A Beyblade-themed wallpaper loaded. Strange files and games sat on the desktop. Curious, Tony opened the browser.

It showed a preloaded page:

Beyblade Colleges – Ranked List

Rank 1: Stormpeak University

Rank 2: Obsidian Fang College

Rank 3: Shadowspire College

Tony clicked on the top college, Stormpeak University.

A profile opened. At the top of the list was a single name—

CHRIS

A picture appeared.

A boy with a pale, sharp face stared out. His white hair glowed like snow, broken by a streak of crimson.

Tony's eyes widened.

"L-Dracon… Chris…" he whispered.

The page refreshed by itself. New text flashed at the bottom:

[Admissions for the new term are now open.]

Tony leaned closer. His chest thumped with every beat.

"Admissions…?"

The glow of the screen reflected in his eyes. This didn't feel like an accident.

Just then, his door creaked open.

"Tony," his mom's voice cut through the silence, calm yet curious.

"Have you ever thought about going to a Beyblade college?"
