The boardroom was the embodiment of chaos. The huge screen set in the wall was blaring red. All along the table, the board members stared at it, mouths ajar. Every second, the Seien empire was bleeding money.
"It just keeps going down…" one of them, an old bloke, said to no one in particular. His glasses were almost sliding off the bridge of his nose.
At the head of the table, Niko Seien sat with his hands clasped tightly in front of him, elbows on the table. When he finally spoke, his voice was low but it carried across every inch of the vast room. It was cold. Cutting.
"You told me the deal was as good as sealed." It wasn't a question, but rather a damning accusation.
The man standing next to the screen in a simple black suit and tie shuddered. A golden nameplate bore his name as if to leave no doubt who was at fault for the crisis. Arthur Smith.
"B-but it was, I don't know what went wrong…"
"Enough! You've done enough. I don't want to hear anything other than how this gets fixed!"
Arthur began to blabber again but before he could suggest anything, the sleek glass door swung open.
Like a spell breaking, everyone turned to face the entryway. Another spell fell over the room.
Saji walked in. Every step was crisp. Measured. Precise. He cast an appraising look at his form in the door's reflection. What he saw made him smirk.
His heeled boots were gleaming, polished to an almost mirror-like finish. His stockings went up just above the knees, and he smiled internally to see that everyone's eyes were taking in the shape of his legs. His black shorts were sinfully short.
Of course, every pair of eyes traced them up to his waist, adorned by a belt of pure silver. None of their attention mattered but Niko's. But it didn't hurt to know you had an effect on people.
His crisp linen white shirt made him look like a schoolboy or rather a school girl, given his soft, pretty features. He did have something of a chest despite his slender frame. His black suit jacket was tailored and fit him well, especially when it dipped down to his middle, showing off his figure.
"Who the hell are you?" Niko growled, but his eyes betrayed something more than displeasure.
"The only one who can fix this mess. I'd be more polite if I were you."
Niko frowned.
Of course, he's not used to taking orders from anyone. Typical.
"For starters, Arthur here was the source of the leak," Saji said, walking over to the head of the table.
The room broke into gasps then a chorus of shocked voices.
Arthur was now pale. Beads of sweat were trickling down his face. His collar was soaked.
"That's n-not true…"
"Well, you're right I suppose."
"Huh?" Everyone was confused. Saji smiled. He was relishing every moment.
"The leak came from your work computer, so of course I'm right. However, since someone else could have used it and pinned it on you, there's an element of truth to your denial."
The room was utterly quiet.
Saji was now standing behind Niko. He took a moment to appreciate Niko's build. Toned but not overly muscular.
Saji bent forward, placing a file on the table. He could swear he saw Niko gulp. After all, they were so close Saji could feel the heat of Niko's body on his own. His scent was musky yet almost…
Floral? Hmm. Interesting choice for someone of his kind.
"That's a complete record of all of Arthur's activity since he started using the assigned computer."
Even though Saji couldn't see Niko's face, he was pretty sure there was a frown on it.
It was all there. Messages. Emails. Browsing activity. Financial records. Data logs.
"Who the hell are you," Niko asked, turning to look up at Saji.
Saji put his hands on Niko's shoulders.
"Wouldn't you like to know," he said with a smile, looking right into Niko's almond shaped eyes.
