He'd been scammed.
This was the thought that instantly popped into Statiw's mind after hearing the proprietress. However, after thinking about it carefully, he felt that Lisanna probably wouldn't trick him so maliciously. Moreover, he did have a way to deal with this situation. Only then did Statiw slightly relax.
Early the next morning, Statiw and Mirajane arrived at the maid cafe on time. Seeing that it was still Statiw who had come, the proprietress's brows immediately furrowed.
"Don't worry, there will definitely be no problems," Statiw said, understanding her concern as soon as he saw her expression. He smiled, then waved his hand. In a flash of magical light, two extremely beautiful women appeared before him.
One had vibrant golden hair and a diamond-shaped mark on her forehead, while the other had long, flowing black hair and a pair of captivating, ruby-like eyes. Compared to Mirajane, these two women had a more mature and composed air, unlike Mirajane who still retained a hint of youthful charm.
"How is it? Are you satisfied?" Statiw asked the proprietress with a confident look.
The proprietress carefully observed the two women, her eyes widening. She nodded continuously, "Satisfied, satisfied, very satisfied!"
"Oh? And who are they?" Mirajane was first stunned by the sudden appearance of the two women, then her expression immediately darkened. She knew Statiw could use his Pict Magic to create constructs, but seeing these two specific, beautifully detailed women materialize before her made her feel inexplicably and intensely displeased.
Seeing Mirajane's dark expression, Statiw quickly introduced them. "This golden-haired one is… let's call her Tsunade. In terms of her… concept, she is a highly skilled medical professional. She is specifically responsible for… The black-haired, red-eyed one is Kurenai; her concept is that of a master of illusion magic."
"Even so, that's just their 'concept,' right? Right now, they can't actually use healing or illusion magic, can they?" Mirajane was very dissatisfied with Statiw's answer. She crossed her arms over her chest, her expression stormy.
Seeing her displeasure, Statiw could only continue to explain. "Isn't it because I'm only a B-Class Mage right now? After some time, once I become an A-Class Mage, their abilities can be more fully realized. Not just the two of them, but others' abilities too."
"Is that so?" Mirajane looked at Statiw with a deeply scrutinizing gaze.
"If you don't believe me, you'll see in a few days," Statiw guaranteed with a serious expression. "I've already touched the threshold. I'll be promoted to an A-Class Mage before long."
"Alright then, I'll believe you for now. But if I find out you're lying to me…" Mirajane said with a warning tone.
Before she could finish, Statiw immediately interjected, "Don't worry, I'm definitely not lying to you."
After appeasing Mirajane, the two began their task. Their job was simple: be waitresses in maid outfits. As it was a newly opened restaurant, there were quite a few customers, which really tired Mirajane and Statiw out. Especially Statiw, who was mentally operating two additional bodies at once, felt completely dizzy.
And that wasn't the worst of it. The worst was that Lisanna, Natsu, Gray, and other guild members also came to the restaurant. After seeing the two female characters Statiw was controlling, they began to find excuses to pester them, calling them over under various pretexts. By the time Statiw couldn't bear it anymore and wanted to teach them a lesson, the guys took off like a shot, disappearing completely.
At this point, Statiw was certain that Lisanna, that clever girl, had truly set him up.
However, just as Statiw was considering how to get revenge on the guild members, he suddenly heard Mirajane's angry shout, "What did you just say?!"
"What's going on?" Statiw's mind instantly cleared, and his gaze snapped towards Mirajane.
Mirajane was holding a man by his collar, glaring at him with pure fury. The surrounding customers and waitresses were all looking at the man with shocked expressions, whispering amongst themselves.
"Who is that?" "I don't know." "I can't believe that guy actually dared to provoke Mirajane-chan." "He must not be from around here;otherwise, he definitely wouldn't mess with her." "That's true."
Just as the whispers continued, Mirajane sneered and suddenly invoked her magic: "Take Over: Halphas!"
In an instant, Mirajane's body changed. Demonic flames began to burn at her feet, and her ears and chin were adorned with golden protective armor. Her original white hair became like constantly dancing flames, and she wore a dark blue, demonic outfit with a black cape on her back.
At this moment, Mirajane radiated immense magical power, and the terrifying pressure directly weighed on the man in front of her, his face twisting into an expression of utter terror.
However, just as Mirajane raised her fist, Statiw—controlling the 'Tsunade' construct—rushed to her side and said, "Mirajane, stop!"
"Huh?" Hearing Statiw tell her to stop, Mirajane looked at the construct with an angry expression. "Do you know what this creep just said to me?"
At this time, Statiw directed the construct to lean in and whisper into Mirajane's ear, "You know how powerful the Halphas form is. If you throw that punch, you might level this entire city block. How much would it cost to rebuild after causing that much destruction? Even if we both sold ourselves, we wouldn't be able to pay for the damages."
This was no joke. Mirajane's Halphas transformation was terrifyingly powerful. In Statiw's knowledge of the Fairy Tail world, Mirajane's demonic Take Over forms could cause catastrophic collateral damage. After one particularly bad incident in the past, Master Makarov had strictly forbidden her from using certain transformations in the city.
Of course, this refers to Statiw's meta-knowledge of potential events. Now, with Statiw by her side and his constant vigilance, he was determined to prevent such a disaster. Therefore, until now, Mirajane had been able to use her powers more freely, but this situation was pushing it.
Hearing Statiw's warning, Mirajane immediately came to her senses. Her initial annoyance that he might be siding with the customer vanished, replaced by the understanding that he was merely trying to prevent massive property damage—and a likely monumental guild fine.
Understanding his concern, Mirajane instantly dispelled the Halphas transformation. The overwhelming demonic aura receded, and she quickly switched to her weaker, but far less destructive, Satan Soul form. Although its intimidating power was significantly less, the guy, who had almost wet his pants moments before, was still too terrified to cause any more trouble.
At this moment, Mirajane sneered and asked him, "Now… do you still want any special services?"
"N-no! I don't dare!" the terrified man shivered, shaking his head desperately.
"Then what would you like to order?" Mirajane asked again, her voice dripping with false sweetness.
"N-nothing at all! Really!" he stammered, shaking his head again.
"What?" Mirajane's eyebrows shot up. "I've been wasting my time with you here for half a day, and you don't want anything?" She glared fiercely at the terrified man.
"N-no! It's not that!" The man was stunned, then quickly reacted with a flattering, desperate smile. "I'll… I'll have one of everything! Everything on the menu!"
"Hmph. That's more like it." Mirajane snorted coldly and turned to the other waitresses. "This gentleman says he wants three of every dish in the store. Please make sure his order is… perfect."
"Alright, right away!" the waitresses responded with professional smiles, quickly scurrying away to the kitchen.
