Chapter 20: The Big Shot
2022-10-19 Author: Great Demon Spirit
The Old Bartender was carried away, his eyes darting around with a mix of anticipation, fear, and worry, but his mouth was unrelenting, feigning resistance while wriggling his body and yelling, "What do you want to do? Let me go! I didn't provoke you!"
Yet, he had no strength to refuse at all, but he put on a good act; even he himself believed it.
"Shut up, damn it, this is all because of you!" Tony didn't doubt him, straightforward as he was, and pulled out some Vibranium, hitting him with it like a brick.
*Smack!*
One hit wasn't enough to vent his frustration, so Tony then repeatedly hit him with the Vibranium slab in front of everyone, striking exceptionally hard.
*Smack, smack!*
The Old Bartender's eyes widened, his eyes bulging, foaming at the mouth, and he passed out in despair. In his last conscious moments, the Old Bartender's gut twisted with regret: "This guy is a brute."
Tony wanted to kidnap this Master Mechanic. Regular Master Mechanics were all employed by major companies, making it impossible for Tony to win them over. Only black-market technicians like the Old Bartender, who took on private jobs, were a possibility.
Tony didn't have his own team, which put him at a great disadvantage. He had to find a way to build one and gather some talented individuals.
He needed this old technician to be stationed at the rear to build him the strongest motorcycle. He couldn't control a large number of Transformers, nor did he have enough Allspark Energy to squander. At this stage, it was quality over quantity.
"This guy... is a Mutant? Is he here to snatch someone?" Someone stood there in a daze, as if they had witnessed something incredible. "Who was it that kidnapped that old geezer? He's about to be snatched away!"
All the Vampires stirred up a commotion, letting out jeering laughter. They weren't in a hurry to rush forward; no one who entered Vampire Territory could escape unharmed, and they wouldn't provoke such a person either.
"It seems that Big Shot specifically requested for him to be kidnapped some time ago," someone egged on those around him, "saying he wanted to turn him into a Vampire. Urge our kin to quickly rush forward and tear this Human to shreds!"
He knew a little inside information, that Big Shot seemed to have taken a fancy to something belonging to the old geezer and had sent people to capture him days ago.
"Although that item was taken by the Big Shot's subordinates, this old man was also valued by the Big Shot, so quickly snatch him back."
The Vampires and some Vampire Familiars grew restless, revealing greedy gazes. They yearned to earn merits and gain the Big Shot's appreciation. A Pureblood held inherently higher status than these Mixed Bloods.
Several Vampires couldn't hold back, yelling as they charged forward, "No matter what kind of freak this is, quickly kill him!"
More Vampires stirred restlessly, but weren't in a hurry to attack. They were very cunning, wanting to observe this Mutant's abilities further, letting those guys act as Cannon Fodder, and only making their move at the end.
*Bang, bang, bang!*
Tony fired several shots in quick succession, knocking down the fastest charging Vampire, but only one bullet hit its mouth, none hitting a vital spot.
"After I get out of here, I absolutely must practice my marksmanship and combat skills. If things get desperate, I'll just go find S.H.I.E.L.D. agents." Tony was worried, sweat trickling down his forehead. He came from a humble background, usually only having superficial exposure to shooting and combat during military training, but that was completely useless.
The wounded Vampire quickly stood up. He laughed hysterically, desperately catching his own flowing blood with his hands, quickly bringing it to his mouth, a look of ecstasy on his face.
"So that toy really works, huh? I thought your ability was to turn into a toy," the Vampire said.
The next second, he immediately let out a scream!
Two Little Transformers were astonishingly fast; they charged forward resolutely and sawed off both his feet with chainsaws. Blood splattered everywhere, stimulating the other Vampires.
The other Vampires scrambled to surround him, to catch and drink the blood from his ankles, getting themselves drenched in blood.
They were all stimulated and somewhat excited. The fresh blood made them even more frenzied. They didn't want to play anymore; they wanted to kill Tony as quickly as possible.
"Kill him, drink all his blood!"
More Vampires charged forward! Many Vampire Familiars didn't have the Physique of Vampires, but they all drew their pistols, intending to shoot Tony dead.
Tony rolled and leaped behind the bar, using the bar as a shield. His armor automatically assembled into several pistols, and he fired at the charging Vampires.
Many Vampires were startled by this bizarre scene; having no time to ponder the reason, their heads were blown apart, and they appeared to drop dead on the spot.
Vampires possessed tenacious vitality, making them difficult to kill with ordinary means. Silver and Sunlight could kill them instantly, but with ordinary means, it was hard to say. As long as they had Human blood, their injuries could recover rapidly.
"Get out of the way, all of you! I'm going to suck all his blood! A Mutant's fresh blood is a great tonic!" A wounded Vampire cried out in pain; facing Tony's deliberately strengthened and enlarged bullets, he was severely injured.
A Vampire Familiar, thinking himself clever, suggested aloud, "Why don't we turn him into one of us? He's so strong, he should be very useful to us."
Then the Vampire Familiar was killed, and his corpse was fought over. Making suggestions to frenzied Vampires was too naive.
The Big Shot finally arrived. He appeared to be a middle-aged man, refined and courteous, with elegant manners and a square face. The moment he entered, he was startled by the lively scene.
He roared furiously, "What's going on? What are you all doing? Are you welcoming me in this manner?"
Tony seized the opportunity to assemble a large blade and took the chance to chop off a Vampire's head.
"They're not welcoming you; they're welcoming me." Tony tried to control Optimus Prime to burst in from outside.
"Who the hell are you?" the middle-aged Vampire, who had lived for who knows how many centuries, roared furiously. He held a venerable position, and throughout the entire Vampire Faction, there were few who dared to speak to him like that.
"I'm your dad! When you die, I'll visit your grave!"
No sooner had Tony's words fallen than Optimus Prime crashed through the wall with a thunderous roar. His metal body, over two meters tall, delivered a massive visual impact. He crashed in, the wall like paper; a casual punch shattered the remaining wall, stirring up huge clouds of dust, countless pieces of rubble flying through the dimly lit bar, blinding everyone's eyes.
"What is that thing!" The middle-aged Vampire turned pale with fright, unconsciously screaming out, and was about to reach into his coat for his gun.
A follower came in from outside, loudly warning him that a truck outside had turned into a Robot, and then he was kicked head over heels by the Big Shot.
"Do you take me for a blind man?!" The Big Shot was furious. He had lived for several centuries and was already an old fox. A Mutant had caused quite a stir recently, with all the media reports focusing on that Mutant. Even by guessing and inferring, he could roughly figure it out.
He was an old schemer, wanting to speak, trying to reconcile with Tony, this High-Level Mutant, or at least not make an enemy of him.
But it was too late. Optimus Prime was faster than him! Optimus Prime hoisted the heavy weapons he had hidden earlier and indiscriminately bombarded the bar, beginning a massive slaughter!
