Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Death of Abomination (Revised)

Chapter 4: The Death of Abomination (Revised)

October 19, 2022 Author: Great Demon Spirit

Tony also hated Hulk, but he had to admit that a recovered Hulk was far from what an inferior product like Abomination could contend with. His theoretically infinite strength alone was enough to terrify any enemy.

Hulk and Optimus Prime teamed up, their frequent attacks forcing Abomination to barely keep up. What shocked it even more was the terrifying trend that these two opponents seemed to be getting stronger the more they fought.

Hulk gradually recovered, and Optimus Prime's body was constantly being reinforced by Allspark Energy. Although he still couldn't block Abomination's heavy punches without taking damage, he could at least trade a few blows without suffering too much. The cost of this enhancement was Tony's pale face, as his Allspark rapidly dimmed, but he refused to give in, pushing himself to the limit.

Abomination was repeatedly injured, becoming increasingly berserk.

"You want to kill me? Impossible!" Abomination roared, its eyes glowing with bloodlust, completely mad with rage.

The Hulk Serum spread further, making Abomination stronger and taller, but that was its limit; once the serum's power was exhausted, Abomination's enhancement would cease.

Hulk punched, sending Abomination flying over ten meters, where it crashed through two buildings and coughed up a mouthful of murky blood. Tony seized the opportunity, having Optimus Prime charge forward and ferociously stab and smash Abomination's chest with its new right arm, rapidly widening the already unhealed wound.

Abomination screamed, kicking Optimus Prime away.

"You rely on the Hulk Serum you injected. Your strength has a limit. Once the serum is depleted, you'll just be waiting to die."

He was waiting for an opportunity, secretly recalling memories from his previous life, trying to estimate Abomination's approximate power limit.

"Relay my orders, all forces open fire! Authorize the use of tanks!" General Ross commanded coldly from the sky.

Betty turned pale with fright: "Father, Banner is still down there! You promised me you wouldn't harm him again!"

The soldier relaying the message hesitated, looking at General Ross.

Ross was indifferent. He said, "This kind of artillery fire won't hurt Banner. I'm targeting the newly appeared Mutant! I cannot create another monster just to destroy one; I've already made that mistake once."

General Ross, always a strong personality, rarely felt such vexation. In his efforts to deal with Hulk, he had ultimately created the uncontrollable Abomination. This time, he had originally planned to have Hulk deal with Abomination, but instead, it had stimulated the birth of a new Mutant monster.

According to the government's research on Mutants, those who experience an Awakening during a crisis possess abilities that are stronger and more dangerous than those who awaken naturally.

In any case, whether Tony was a Mutant or not, it was best to eliminate him along with the others if possible.

"You all felt it; the energy that Mutant unleashed in an instant was terrifying. Mutants who experience an Awakening during a crisis generally have higher abilities and pose a greater threat. Regardless of whether his ability is metal control or something else, he is undoubtedly a Level Four Mutant."

General Ross had once witnessed Magneto's power: a Magnetic Field so vast it inspired despair, looking down on humanity like a Deity views ants, plunging the world into silent stillness. Magneto could easily overturn a super metropolis, shake North America through Magnetokinesis, trigger global tsunamis, and effortlessly cause tens of millions of deaths.

If the one born now were a moderate like Professor X, it might be barely acceptable, but who dared to gamble? At the original location of that pickup truck, two bloody corpses lay peacefully. Seeing how carefully that Mutant had placed them, anyone with half a brain would know that the deceased were extremely important to him.

In such a situation, who would dare to bet that they could definitely stabilize this new, powerful Ability User after the battle?

"General Ross, terminate your mission now. You should order your troops to return." An authoritative voice suddenly came through the communicator, utterly domineering, allowing no resistance.

Ross raged, roaring, "Screw you! What about these three monsters then? And who the hell are you?!"

"I have authorization from the Global Security Council, with approval from the five major powers. Are you sure you want to see it? General, you wouldn't want to be charged with treason, would you?" the voice said.

General Ross gritted his teeth, wishing he could smash the other party's head. "Now you jump out to take over? Where were you earlier? I was just about to reap the rewards!"

The World Security Council clearly wanted to seize his achievements!

If he handed him over, Hulk would no longer truly belong to him, and his countless money-consuming Super-Soldier Program would be ruined in an instant. Ross could almost see the imprisonment that awaited him in the near future.

And that suspected Level Four Mutant would also be taken over by other factions.

"I can decide to hand Abomination over to you; he was your soldier to begin with," the voice said, authoritative and powerful, seemingly possessing immense authority that could decide people's lives and deaths.

Ross's expression was constantly changing.

At the scene, Abomination was completely suppressed. Just as Tony had said, its power would no longer increase once the Serum ran out. Under the combined assault of Hulk and Tony, it no longer even had the strength to parry.

Hulk was still growing stronger. However, Optimus Prime's strength had stabilized. Having already lost a significant amount of metal, and considering the pickup truck's material, Tony realized that no matter how much he used the Allspark, Optimus Prime's body would no longer change.

What's more, the Allspark's starlight dimmed, almost extinguished. Tony's face was ghastly pale, yet veins bulged on his forehead, eerily twisting, giving the feeling that his head might explode any second.

Having fought to this point, Tony was tottering, nearing his limit. A vast amount of Allspark Energy had been wasted for nothing, especially since Tony had rushed into battle immediately after his Awakening, his power immature and severely lacking in combat experience. He stared at Abomination with bloodshot eyes, like a man-eating demon, determined to kill it with his own power in these final moments.

Ross could no longer sit still. He was unwilling to watch Abomination die like this. Even if it died, it had to die on his dissection table! Not just anyone could survive the Hulk Serum and even transform!

At this moment, Ross's possessiveness was magnified to the extreme. His property, no one else could touch. This was the resolve of a general.

Abomination was severely battered, covered in wounds. It tried to resist but was quickly knocked down by heavy punches, adding another wound. Abomination jumped up with all its might, intending to smash down on Optimus Prime from above, but Tony reacted quickly, timely having Optimus Prime dodge.

Boom!

Hulk grabbed Abomination, holding it down and violently beating it. Optimus Prime ferociously struck from an open wound, and in the stunned gazes of the people, chopped off one of Abomination's arms.

"Oh my god, that Monster is finished!" a survivor cried out in surprise and joy, eyes brimming with tears.

"Enough!" Ross snapped furiously, issuing orders. "Have the tanks charge forward, surround Abomination, and don't let the other two get close!"

Tanks rumbled into action, driving forward in a dense, aggressive mass. They had received the General's orders: the green monster would not attack them. If the metal man made a move against them, they were to retaliate with full force, seize the opportunity to blast and kill the enemy, and rid the world of a menace that could be a second Magneto.

Optimus Prime, missing limbs and severely damaged, his tattered appearance also gave the soldiers confidence. This metal brute was in very bad shape, especially since its body was much thinner than when it started, only half its original thickness.

"You win, Hulk, you win! Let me go quickly, or General Ross won't let you off. I am his loyal soldier; he will protect me."

Abomination sprawled on the ground, panting heavily. Seeing the situation was dire, it decisively surrendered, cunningly bringing up Ross, yet not saying a word about how many casualties it had caused.

"Let me go quickly, I know I was wrong," Abomination repeatedly said, malice and hatred intertwining in its tyrannical eyes. "Otherwise, General Ross will kill you."

Hulk, with his low IQ, was at a loss. Moreover, Betty ran over and hugged him, crying profusely, which left him flustered and frantic.

Tony panted, revealing a smile.

A fierce, ruthless look flashed across Abomination's face before it forced out an ugly smile, growling, "You win, let me go!"

Tony sneered, saying coldly, "I'd rather harm you. I told you, I wouldn't let you off."

He was mad, desperately squeezing out the last of his Allspark, unleashing it all at once. The Allspark shone brightly, tearing through the darkness, surpassing any time before. This outburst, regardless of cost or consequence, brought forth unprecedented mighty power. His Allspark seemed to be burning!

Burning!

Burning!

A desperate, hysterical burning, a burning that would destroy himself just to unleash light!

The tattered and torn Optimus Prime suddenly extended its arm, instantly assembling an astonishing greatsword. Countless visible streams of Allspark Energy continuously covered the blade, layer after layer, seemingly endless. In Abomination's horrified and despairing gaze, Optimus Prime chopped off its head with one slash, blood splattering three feet high!

The world suddenly fell silent. People watched the scene, their brains frozen, unable to think.

Tony sensed that the Allspark in his mind had almost disintegrated, silently extinguishing. It had burned too much of itself; the cost was too great.

Frantic shouts faintly reached his ears. Tony, severely injured and mentally dazed, looked at Abomination's corpse and muttered, "It was worth it," before fainting.
