Chapter 10 - Chapter 10:- Truth and lies

The view inside the door was unexpected — dozens of students playing games and gambling. There were stairs leading up, people lying around lazily, and some sleeping all day. A few were even watching anime.

"Lol, he's watching anime in school… and on a TV? What is this place?" said Taarush, his eyes wide.

Jeen just smiled and kept walking. They followed him upstairs. When he unlocked another door with a key, Sannya teased, "Now that's weird — opening a door with a key here?"

Inside, they saw a bunch of books and papers scattered all around. The room was square, windowless, with a few old computers that Jeen used to monitor CCTV cameras.

Jeen opened a file and showed them a bundle of reports about past events. "These are useless records," he said, flipping through pages. "But this one—this is about Lord."

According to the file, Lord was one of the most capable people in the school — someone who relied on his brain more than brute strength. Yet there was also a case filed against him. Normally, anyone with that kind of record would be expelled. But Lord was the only one who managed to stay.

"Sorry, guys. That's all the information we have," said Jeen.

Taarush stayed silent, lost in thought, making Sannya worried. She hit him lightly on the back. "Hey, you awake?"

"So tell me… what are the rules here?" Taarush finally asked.

Jeen explained, "The library is mostly for study. But for those who want to relax or hide, there's this secret area—it's called Heaven. To enter, you need a coin. Not bought with regular money."

He continued, "Each coin has the symbol of angel wings. To get one, you need to spend around $200. There are ten coins total—five with white wings of angels and five with black wings."

Hearing that, Taarush began to understand how this school's underground system worked — its hidden currency, its power, and maybe, its secrets. He quietly made up his mind to uncover the truth buried within these walls.

Jeen watched him closely and smirked.

"You're brave, Taarush… but bravery and curiosity don't always mix well here."

Sannya frowned. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Jeen shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "Let's just say… some doors shouldn't be opened twice."

He smiled again — a strange, knowing smile — before turning away to his monitors. The faint flicker of the CCTV screens painted shadows across his face, hiding whether that smile was meant as a warning… or a challenge.
