Chapter 21 -  Inner Resonance

Sanuya of Kirina —Ishara Center

Arrival

The group emerges into a suspended space—vibrating platforms, energy bridges, and resonance spheres.

The sky is black, streaked with lines of Ni.

Each step seems to echo through the air.

Senshi move silently, each wearing the Senshi uniform and their rank insignia.

The Arkhans are called Taishō here—commanding figures.

The Jōtan are their arms in motion—seconds, tacticians, instructors.

A holographic panel displays:

Sanuya of Kirina — Ishara Center

Taishō: Naomi Zinkebeg

Jōtan: Dante Veyron

Naomi's Welcome

Naomi, Taishō of Kirina, steps forward.

Her aura is dense, silent, almost motionless.

Naomi:

*"You are here to be revealed.

Not judged.

Three trials await you: Emotional Resonance — Tactical Confrontation — Inner Awakening."*

Floch (chatty, arms crossed):

*"Three trials? And no lunch break?

What is this, Sanuya? A spiritual torture center?"*

Akiriho (dry):

"You can always quit if you're afraid to sweat."

Floch:

*"Me? Afraid? I was born to shine.

And to talk, mostly.

But hey, if the mirror reflects my genius, I might get stuck inside it."*

Kaen (calm):

*"Then speak to your mirror.

It'll show you what you're hiding."*

Trial 1: Emotional Resonance

Each member is isolated inside a Ni sphere.

The environment adapts to their deepest buried memory.

Kaen finds himself in a distorted version of his apartment.

Sakina is absent.

The walls are cracked.

And a voice whispers:

"You were never meant to exist."

Kaen steps forward.

He sees a silhouette—a child, alone, with black eyes.

It's him.

But without Ni.

Without light.

Kaen (thought):

*"This power… it doesn't define me.

It's what I do with it that matters."*

He reaches out to the child.

The sphere dissolves.

Return to the Group

Kaen returns to the platform.

Floch is already there, seated, quieter than usual.

Floch:

*"Well…

That wasn't fun.

But I survived.

And you? Did you cry?"*

Kaen:

*"No.

I understood.

And you? Did you stop hiding?"*

Floch doesn't answer.

But his gaze is less mocking.

Sanuya is not a place.

It is a fracture.

And those who pass through it never return the same.

Kaen reached out to his own void.

And that void… responded.

Naomi Explains the Ni

The group gathers in a resonance chamber, just before the tactical trials begin.

Naomi, Taishō of Kirina, stands at the center.

Her aura is stable, nearly still, but her voice resonates like a soft blade.

Naomi:

*"Before facing others, you must understand what you carry.

Ni is not a weapon like the others.

It has no consciousness of its own.

It doesn't speak to you.

It listens.

And it only awakens if you are ready to answer it."*

Silence.

The Senshi listen.

Naomi:

*"Ni evolves in three stages.

And each stage is not a rise in power.

It is a transformation of the bond between you… and who you truly are."*

Shiki — The Initial Awakening

*"This is the first release.

At this stage, Ni becomes tangible.

It takes form according to your soul.

It amplifies your abilities, but remains limited.

A Senshi in Shiki begins to fuse with the spirit of their weapon.

They may hear whispers, perceive resonances.

But they control nothing yet.

They discover."

Naniya — Pure Intention

"Second evolution.

Ni comes alive through your intention.

It anticipates, it adapts.

It no longer reacts—it foresees.

A Senshi in Naniya can achieve the impossible.

Block multiple assaults.

Strike at the exact moment the enemy believes they have the advantage.

But this doesn't come from strength.

It comes from clarity.

From determination."*

Laban — Ultimate Liberation

*"Final stage.

Ni becomes a complete extension of your soul.

Your aura changes.

Your form changes.

Your presence becomes… other.

Laban is not a technique.

It is an incarnation.

Ni no longer accompanies you.

It is you."*

Naomi pauses.

Her gaze sweeps across the group.

Naomi:

*"Some of you are still far from Naniya.

Others… have brushed against it without knowing.

But none of you have reached Laban.

And that's normal.

Laban is not something you seek.

It reveals itself.

And sometimes… it breaks you before it accepts you."*

Floch (softly, mocking but unsettled):

*"Okay…

So it's not just a glowing sword.

It's a sword that judges.

Great."*

Kaen (thought):

*"If my Ni is a memory…

Then I need to learn to listen to it.

Not control it."

Ni is not a weapon.

It is a fracture.

And those who pass through it never return the same.

Kaen is beginning to understand that his power is not an anomaly.

It is a response.

To be continued.
