Chapter 2 - 2

—JARVIS, What the hell is this?— Said Tony Stark looking at a book that he didn't even remember putting there.

—That appears to be a journal, sir.— Answer the artificial intelligence/buttler.

—I know it's a journal, but what I want to know is how the hell it got here. I doubt I've ever been so drunk as to not remember something like that.— Tony said a little annoyed because his AI decided to be a smartass in this situation.

—Do you want me to look at the surveillance recordings, sir?—

—Yes, and show it to me—

A holographic screen appeared in front of Tony. At first, nothing happened, but suddenly, the journal appeared, confusing the millionaire. —JARVIS, rewind it and put it at the lowest speed possible.—

—Understood, sir, 1000% reduction.—

Tony stared, even holding his breath for a moment. The fact that something or someone had managed to break into his house bothers him greatly. Unfortunately, from one frame to the next, the journal appeared.

—What the hell?— he asked, perplexed.

—Apparently, the journal appeared out of nowhere, sir.—

—I can see that,— he said, annoyed. Somehow, someone broke into his house, and he can't find how. Looking at the set journal he can see something written on the cover, 'Gabriel's Journal, Tony Stark's copy', —JARVIS, do I know someone called 'Gabriel'?— Ask curious.

—I do have a recall from 5 different Gabrielas, the last one was 3 months ago, sir, but no 'Gabriel', so it seems to be a male.— answer JARVIS.

Tony frowned. He doesn't like not knowing something, especially when that something has to do with the security of his home. —JARVIS, scan the journal and check for anything unusual.—

For a few moments, JARVIS said nothing until a small chime sounded, signaling completion. —Nothing out of the ordinary has been detected, sir.—

Seeing that everything seemed to be fine, Tony opened the journal to see what the hell it was, but the curious thing was that there was only one sentence, the problem is that this sentence explains a lot and nothing at the same time.

Apparently I've transmigrated to another universe. Unfortunately, my memories were erased, leaving only my name, details about Yu-Gi-Oh, and Marvel. I hope to find out what universe I'm in, because if I'm really in Marvel, I don't know what the hell will happen to me until I can increase my power.

—JARVIS, Am I reading what I think I'm reading?— Tony said, extremely confused.

—I'm seeing the same thing you are seeing, sir.—

Knowing that even JARVIS could see the same thing, he knew the alcohol wasn't playing tricks on him.

—Sir, if I may.—

—Go ahead, JARVIS.—

—If we take what 'Gabriel' said literally, and follow the definition of 'transmigration,' we could assume that 'Gabriel was transported to our world from an outside world, but with his memory greatly altered.—

Tony had too many questions. Besides, in the first place, it's barely believed that something like 'transmigration' is possible; it makes no sense scientifically speaking, since that would prove its existence. Not to mention the internal fear of someone tampering with his memory. For Tony Stark, his memory is too valuable to be tampered with.

—And that 'Yu-Gi-Oh' and 'Marvel' thing, do you have something with that?—

Instead of answering, JARVIS started searching the web, thanks to his access to practically everything, making it impossible for anything to hide from his 'sight'.

—I'm sorry, sir, but I don't have anything related to 'Marvel,' but regarding ' Yu-Gi-Oh,' I found some online comments about a store in New York, Queens.—

JARVIS displays a hologram showing the name of a store called 'Kame Game Shop'.

—'Kame Game Shop'?— Tony asks, confused by the name.

—The name 'Kame' means 'turtle' in Japanese. Unfortunately, the information on the store is extremely limited since it only opened yesterday.—

Tony, once again surprised, simply rubbed his face and decided to leave it aside. —JARVIS, just keep an eye on the journal for now,— he said, only for it to click in his mind, —I just ignored something important, like a security breach.—

—Correct, sir. For some reason, as soon as I focused on searching for the individual 'Gabriel' in relation to the journal, I ended up ignoring those searches.— Now Tony couldn't be more surprised.

—Has it even affected you?— Tony didn't think he'd be surprised again, but apparently he was wrong. Unfortunately, JARVIS reminded him of something. —Sir, I'm sorry to tell you that you have to meet with Miss Potts in less than five minutes. I doubt you want to miss it.—

Tony's eyes widened. Angering Pepper is something he doesn't like at all, and it's best to avoid it as much as possible.

Another day in Kame Game Shop

I was working without any problem, the game practically increased in popularity extremely, at first it was only Peter and his friend, then some older kids came who heard about this game, the power of word of mouth is impressive, I managed to increase the number of customers quite a bit, I also got more products, like costumes, pajamas and slippers; this was because I wasn't used to waking up early and when I opened I was seen with my pajamas with a white dragon print and white dragon slippers, I'm being a Seto, don't judge me.

But the new products helped me make a lot of money. I won't need the system anymore when the food runs out, and maybe—although I doubt it—I'll be able to invest in some valuable company or something. I know that in early 2008, Tony Stark ends up being kidnapped... but I still don't understand why I have this memo-

—Once again, Tony Stark has shown his charms...—

I practically turned my head slowly to look at the TV and see Tony Stark, with Robert Downey Jr.'s face... I didn't even remember that was the actor's name...

—So that's why I had the Marvel memories— I mumble to myself with a certain tone of desperation in my voice. Now I know that I'm really fucked…

Trying to keep my soul from leaving my body due to the existential fear I'm feeling right now, I decide to continue as normal. At least I have something to write for today's session and for the days to come.

—By the way, Gabriel,— one of the teenagers called out to me. Thankfully, I was able to wear an identification tag with my name on it, and thanks to that, oddly enough, I gained some publicity, both on Twitter and Facebook. Personally, I felt weird about Facebook. I barely remember my past life, but judging by my emotions, I'm going to assume Facebook ended up dead or barely used by me. Although I don't know why, for some reason, this will end up biting me in the ass.

—Yes?— I ask, giving him all my attention.

—I just wanted to ask if there were any tournaments or something like that?—

I thought about it for a moment. I've only been here for two days and there are already like 30 people interested in the game.

—Sure, I'm planning to include 'official' social media, so I can announce tournaments or something like that. In a few days at the most, I'll post news about mini-tournaments or something similar,— I said. Interestingly, they don't buy like crazy, but they do spend quite a bit. I mean, they don't buy Booster Boxes, but they do buy a lot of packs, and since there are almost 200 cards per pack, there might be some variety.

—Awesome, hey do you mind if I make a post on Facebook to help announce it?— he ask.

—Sure— I smile. To then 'pose' next to the boy called Alex

Hey everyone, boss Gabriel has confirmed that there will be 'Duel Monsters' tournaments in the future, along with official accounts, both on Facebook and Twitter. 'It's Time to Duel!'

—Why did you want me to write 'It's Time to Duel!' at the end?— ask Alex curious.

—Every brand has a slogan or something like that, 'Duel Monsters' needs one, so…— Alex nodded at that, it makes sense.

SHIELD Central Base New York

Natasha Romanoff, one of SHIELD's top agents, was headed to her boss Nicholas Joseph Fury's office. Originally, she was supposed to be sent on a mission to keep an eye on Tony Stark, pretending to be his security guard. However, she was told there was a change of plans and that only Coulson would be on guard.

When Natasha entered Fury's office, she saw Fury staring at a file with a frown, but it wasn't obvious because he always seemed to be frowning.

—Natasha— said Fury after a few seconds, —look at this— he said giving the file that was making him frown, when Natasha look at said file she started to understand why his boss was frowning.

—There is hardly any information— said Romanoff, receiving a nod from Fury, and it's true, the only thing they have is the name of a shop, the first name of the owner, and something about a card game.

—Exactly, a few days ago this 'Kame Game Shop' opened, normally this will be nothing for us, if it wasn't for the fact that the owner is a fucking ghost; nothing when we do the facial recognition, no past, zero, nothing, nada. Only a name, and one that has thousands of people who share it.— Said Fury with a serious tone.

—What do you want me to do sir?—

—That's another problem— he said while rubbing his bald head in annoyance, —anyone who thinks of going there with, when his thoughts coincide with information or something similar from 'Gabriel', he stops giving it importance and leaves it for later.—

Natasha was shocked by that information, —then… How can I infiltrate?—

—One agent was able to enter the store without having problems, that was before I received this information and the agent said that he was thinking of the game since a family friend decide to try it and wanted to see it for himself.—

Now Natasha was more in shock, —some sort of a psychic barrier?—

—We don't know, but I want you to try to get information, you have two weeks tops, I can already feel how this seems to be less and less important in my to do list.— Order Fury, receiving a nod from Natasha.

That Night in Kame Shop

—Another day, another dollar, or something like that was the saying—, I said to myself while I was closing, is been 2 weeks since I was send here, and finally know where is HERE, fucking Marvel, —better let off steam with the journal.—

Starks Vila

—Sir, it appears there is another update in the journal— say JARVIS.

—Another 'sales regulation'? Or something equally interesting,— he said sarcastically, two weeks of daily updates that basically covered sales, the rare cards they've released, and the new products planned for December.

—Apparently it's more interesting this time, sir,— JARVIS replied, and Tony decided to look at it personally for the first time in a while.

Okay, good news, I've discovered which multiverse I was sent to. Bad news, I'm in the Marvel multiverse. Ironically, I found out thanks to the man who started it all, Tony Stark.

—'The man who started it all', hum, I like the sound of that—, said Tony with an arrogant smirk but...

Since now I know why I have my memories of Marvel, than now that I think of it, it's makes a lot of sense, probably I didn't want that to be true, this multivers is so fucked up and now I'm a part of it, at least I have some tome to prepare, is not even 2008, and since all started with Tony's kidnapping in february I'll probably strong enough to defend myself.

What the fuck? Kidnapping?!

Tony now doesn't know whether to get angry or confused. Kidnapped? Him?! How?! He has one of the best security in the planet, how will HE be kidnapped?

—Sir, it seems to be more— said JARVIS making Tony come out of his mini trance.

Also, some clients make comments like listening to voices in soft tones, some even make the joke of being guardian angels or others say they wouldn't have slept well, if it weren't for the fact that little Peter told me he heard a Kuri and he wasn't holding the stuffed animal in his hands I wouldn't have understood, the Duel Monsters Spirits; I'm going to have to get things ready, if the spirits can communicate, that means that Shadow Games are already possible; I have to be careful and establish rules or something like that. Let's hope the Ancient One doesn't hunt me down.

The amount of information was almost incomprehensible, voices? Duel Monsters Spirits? Ancient One? —For almost 2 weeks Gabriel was writing boring stuff, and now we got from 1 to 100 in just a moment.— Tony complains about that. —First, it'd be best to go through things one by one; the voices first, and seeing as you're referring to 'Duel Monsters Spirits,' we'd better group them together. JARVIS, create a folder, code 'Duel Monsters Spirits.'—

—Understood, sir.—

—Then, that 'Ancient One,' search everything possible and also create a folder on this individual. If Gabriel is afraid of this individual, and although we're still investigating the truths about the multiverse and such things,— he said as he ran his hand through his hair, it's very difficult to continue ignoring the possibility that what Gabriel says isn't real and actually comes from another universe, one where the knowledge of his world.

—I need a drink…— Tony commented.

With the MC

After writing in the journal, I realize that he may not be in the MCU and in another universe, but in most, except for the 616, the comics universe, Tony suffers the same, so it depends on how Tony sees himself, but oh well.

Now that I have my own Facebook and Twitter accounts, I decided to make a small announcement: Greetings everyone, this announcement is to comment on my first Duel Monsters tournament. The tournament will be held tomorrow, and depending on how many people there are, the number of rounds will depend. The details and prizes will be explained in the shop.

After writing the announcement, I sigh knowing I'll have to teach you about Shadow Games or how to recognize them; the last thing I want is for someone to play a Shadow Game and things to end badly.

Next Morning

After breakfast and opening the sto- holly shit there is A LOT of people, —Okay, everyone, come in—, almost the whole store is full; —First, hello everyone and welcome to the first Duel monsters Tournament—, I say and I receive applause Thank you, thank you, first of all the registration fee is 5 dollars, and for participating you get 2 'Tournament Packs', these are special packs that are not for sale, they are only obtained in tournaments. These booster packs contain special cards not included in the available packs. The rules are: the pairings will be completely random. To participate, you need a deck of 40 to 60 cards. Each player will have 4,000 life points. Whoever wins the match wins the round. Matches are played in a single duel to avoid dragging out the game. Prizes depend on the number of players, but the top 8 will win a special box, called Deck Box to store their deck, featuring designs from one of the three options: 'White Dragon', 'Black Dragon', or 'Dark Magician'. The top 4, in addition to the Deck Box, will receive five more 'Tournament Pack' boosters. The top 2, in addition to the above, will receive a special figure based on their selection from the options, plus a coupon for five packs of one of the future booster packs. And finally, the winner, along with everything previously mentioned, will be given a special prize for a mysterious product and finally has the right,— pause for some drama, —to a question,— absolute silence, —I know you all have doubts about the 'voices' and other curious things, if the winner wants, I can answer it either publicly for everyone, or just for them.—

That got everyone interested. It's true they had questions, but they thought they'd get answers that simple.

—Okay, everyone. Registration starts now, and the tournament will last all day at most. Thanks for listening.—

I certainly didn't realize that the last —award— would attract so much attention, but apparently the comments made on social media didn't go unnoticed.

Both SHIELD and Tony Stark took this into account, and while one considered it strange and hard to believe, the other, with much more experience in unusual matters, considered it even fictional.

The tournament was a relatively interesting one, there was a wide variety of decks, of different types, and even ways of playing, as there are no archetypes, you rarely see two identical decks, knowing that I am in Marvel I have decided to focus slightly on Peter and Ned; Peter, he play an insect control deck with the possibility of summoning the moth, while Ned plays an aggressive spellcaster deck. Apparently in this world the decks also represent the people, Peter as his future Spiderman and Ned if I remember was someone very active and with some magical talent, so it makes sense.

As the duels went on, I helped out as a judge, explaining what was happening when people didn't understand something. I also took advantage of the first round to give them the guaranteed envelopes and start preparing the prizes. I could also see, out of the corner of my eye, a bony, demonic silhouette with wings.

While this was happening, both Tony and SHIELD watched the video of my tournament presentation online.

—JARVIS, maintain full surveillance on everything related to that store, especially the tournament.— Tony realized that if he focused on the game, the ignoring effect wouldn't work, and since he was now focused on wanting to know about the game and all that, he managed to avoid trouble.

—Yes Sir.—

—Sir, we have something regarding the store,— Maria Hill said.

—Has it worked?— Fury replied.

—Correct, sir. If we're focusing solely on the game, the thought of ignoring it doesn't arise.— Fury nodded at that. That was a theory they had thanks to the coincidence they had with the agent. Nick Fury hates coincidences because in his mind, it's like a trap, but it worked. While they're focused on the game, they can get close, but as soon as they even think about something else, they start to ignore it. —What do we have?—, Hill gave him a tablet with the video, —motherfucker…— It was the only thing he said when he understood what the video said. —Keep an eye on it. I want to see if he responds publicly and what the results are.—

Maria Hill nodded, even she was truly curious, confused, and somewhat annoyed by the things the store had shown.

After de 6 round ended I decide to talk, —ok everyone, now, please look at the player list, so you can know if you are part of the Top 8 cut, if not, don't worry better luck next time;— I comment with a gentle smile; in the Top 8 I saw some of the most frequent customers, among them are Alex, Peter and Ned; before the Top 8 round, I already gave them the booster packs and wrote down their deck box picks.

The next rounds are a little more intense since they decided to broadcast the duels live on Facebook and Twitter. Because the number of visitors will be somewhat large, considering that I have a maximum of 150 or more customers who come multiple times, and 100 for the game, the rest for the decorations or stuffed animals. Tomorrow I'll have to bring in a large amount of product for Christmas, possibly decorations too. As soon as December comes around, almost everyone starts decorating.

When the round was over and the results were posted on the computer, I called everyone's attention, —Ladies and gentlemen, once again thank you very much for participating and I would like to give a round of applause to the winner of the First Duel Monsters tournament. Peter Parker!—
