Chapter 94 - TRUE INTENTIONS

CHAPTER 94 — TRUE INTENTIONS

The throne room of Alsia was enormous, lined with marble pillars and golden drapes that caught the sunlight. Moro's fist still tingled after smashing King Ginos in the face. The king lay on the floor groaning, and the entire hall went dead silent.

The chained maidens trembled.

The guards froze in disbelief.

Kaya, Yaya, Kiro, Steven, and Herbet stared, unsure whether to prepare for battle or brace for consequences.

Slowly, King Ginos pushed himself back to his feet.

He wiped a thin line of blood from the corner of his mouth. Instead of anger, a wild grin spread across his face—too wide, too excited, like he had been hoping for this.

"Well," he said with a laugh that echoed through the throne room,

"Junkskye produces interesting kids."

Moro didn't flinch.

"I don't care where I'm from. I won't stand by when you abuse the people serving you."

The king's smile hardened.

"Abuse? These women belong to me. This kingdom belongs to me. Respect—POWER—comes only from fear."

He stepped closer, voice lowering into something darker.

"You're young. You'll learn."

He moved in a blink.

CRACK—!

A sharp right hook smashed into Moro's jaw. The sound rang across the hall. Kaya gasped. Steven instinctively stepped forward, but Moro raised a hand and shook his head.

"I can handle this," Moro said calmly, steadying himself.

Yaya's golden Cheetah Aura sparked behind her, her body glowing with energy.

"Say the word, and he's on the ground," she growled.

"No," Moro said softly. "I've dealt with worse."

Ginos smirked.

"That's what I like—confidence."

He clenched his fist and prepared another strike—

But before he could swing, a sharp whistling tore through the air.

FWIP!

A silver blur flew across the hall.

THUD.

King Ginos stiffened. His eyes widened.

His body collapsed sideways—not in a gruesome way, but silent and sudden, like he had been switched off.

The entire hall erupted.

"THE KING!"

"HE'S DOWN!"

"PROTECT THE PALACE!"

"ARREST THOSE OUTSIDERS!"

Herbet swung his device around.

"That projectile didn't come from us. Someone else is here."

Kaya pointed upward, eyes narrowing.

"There! A shadow—moving!"

A figure clung to the rafters for half a second, then melted into darkness, leaving only drifting dust.

Steven muttered, "Invisible ki signature… whoever did that wasn't ordinary."

The guards ignored them, shouting:

"They assaulted the king!"

"Take them in!"

"Seize the one from Junkskye first!"

Dozens of spears pointed toward Moro and his team. Steven summoned a swirl of ice around his hand. Kiro unsheathed his Nin sword. Kaya's water spiraled at her feet. Yaya crouched, Aura pulsing. Moro shifted into stance—

But then—

The air froze.

Not temperature—pressure.

A chilling spiritual aura swept through the hall.

Even the guards dropped to their knees instinctively.

A pair of footsteps echoed from the massive entrance.

Two silhouettes glided in—identical in height, posture, and presence.

One had long ash-white hair.

The other had long obsidian-black hair with a silver streak.

Both wore dark combat cloaks marked with faint symbols of CD-9.

Their eyes glowed faintly—one crimson, one icy blue.

Both were unmistakably male.

Kizen and Kazen.

The Asura Twins.

The same men Moro and Kaya fought in Chapter 7.

The same deadly assassins who nearly crushed them.

Kaya inhaled sharply.

"It's really them…"

Kiro groaned, gripping his sword.

"These guys again…"

Steven whispered, "Assassins of the highest rank…"

Yaya muttered, "…Creepy duo."

Moro tightened his fists.

"I didn't expect to meet you two so soon."

The twins approached until they were only a few steps away.

Kizen, the white-haired one, spoke first—soft, cold, calm.

"No need for resistance. None of you are to be harmed."

Instantly, all guards lowered their weapons involuntarily. The influence of the twins' presence was overpowering.

Kazen, the black-haired twin, continued in a deeper voice:

"The king's death was not caused by these six."

Moro stepped forward. "Then you know who did it."

Kizen's lips twitched into a faint smirk.

"We know."

"But knowing and speaking are two different things," Kazen added.

The tension thickened.

Herbet asked quietly, "Then why are you here?"

The twins gave the same answer in unison:

"To deliver a message."

Kizen bowed his head slightly.

"Moro of Junkskye…"

Kazen raised his hand.

"You are summoned."

Moro frowned. "…Summoned? By who?"

Both twins spoke together, voices overlapping like an echo:

"By CD-9.

By the Shadow Monarchy.

By Director Scaro—personally."

Kiro's breath caught.

"Scaro himself…? Moro, that's bad."

Kaya whispered urgently, "If Scaro wants you, it means you're a threat to something big."

Steven clenched his jaw. "Or a tool he wants to use."

Yaya readied herself. "We're not handing him over."

The Asura Twins tilted their heads in perfect synchronization.

Kizen said softly, "You may refuse."

Kazen added smoothly, "For now."

The twins turned away—walking toward the entrance.

But they paused.

Kizen looked over his shoulder.

"When we return, refusal will not be an option."

Kazen finished the thought:

"Prepare yourselves."

In a flicker of movement—

not teleportation, not vanishing—

they simply blurred out of existence, leaving the hall silent and breathless.

Moro exhaled slowly.

"They're stronger than before…"

Kaya nodded. "Much stronger."

Steven crossed his arms. "This changes everything."

Yaya punched a pillar lightly. "Let them come. We won't lose."

Herbet added, "We need to leave Alsia before the entire kingdom turns against us."

Moro stared at the doors where the Asura Twins disappeared.

"Scaro… CD-9… No Man's Land… the shadow that killed the king… everything is connected."

His eyes hardened.

"This won't break us. Not now."

And with that, the team left the throne room—

walking directly into the storm building over Mavaria.
