╬ Hierarchies
The state in which a magic ability is heightened through a form of level up. Classified as Grand, Pure, or Ancient.
- Grand: a form exclusively for Elemental and Elemental Summon types; enhances the capacity and power of one's magical abilities. Ex: Grand Flame magic, Grand Hydro magic, Grand Ice magic—even properties of elements honed and evolved through natural inheritance like Grand Armor magic, etc.
- Pure: a form for both select Communication and Manipulation types; enables users to use the truest state of a magic ability granting them almost divine capabilities as if they were the creator of that magic ability. Ex: Pure Transmutation magic, Pure Spirit Conjuring magic, Pure Protection magic.
- Ancient: a form exclusively for Primal and Primal Summoning types; allows the user to transform into or summon Grade 1 or Grade 0 monsters. This is the only Hierarchy that must be naturally inherited, and the chances of such Primal or Primal Summon users being born is about 0.002% percent. There are times when the Grade 1 or Grade 0 beast the user can transform into is also an extinct or mythical beast.
╬ Awakenings
The state in which one's magical capabilities are expanded, whether in perception or natural limits—both are exceeded. This type of evolution is usually marked physically on an individual. (Ex: the color and shape of one's eyes, enhanced physical properties, markings, etc.)
Awakenings are considered anomalies in the magical system, due to the fact that no one knows explicitly how and when an awakening happens. Once it has, however, the mages magical prowess enhances tenfold to unchartered possibilities that are usually naturally unavailable to them. (Ex: expansion or transmutation of terrain relating to their magic ability, transforming themselves and/or their magic even though they are not a Transformation type mage, precision of incantation or sometimes the ability to make casting spells easier without the use of incantation, etc.)
╬ Tantra
The state in which those without magic or mana can access a different type of power. One that repels all magic. Different than Nullifying magic, rather than dispelling magic, Tantra prevents it. It is only accessible if one suppresses their mana flow—the more they suppress the stronger the Tantra. However, there are a very rare few who were born with no mana or magic; these individuals are more adept to accessing this invisible power.
As it stands, there are three types of Tantra:
- Armored (Knight's Tantra): the Tantra ability to harden one's skin like armor; in addition, the user's physical properties increase as well—triple the amount of the user's current strength. The stronger one is physically, the stronger the Tantra. This is the most common form of Tantra.
- Perception (Overseer's Tantra): a Tantra ability that exponentially heightens all of one's senses (on par with Primal type users' senses). This is the second most common form of Tantra.
- Capitulation (King's Tantra): a highly rare Tantra ability that takes the form of one's aura. This type of Tantra is so strong, it can render the user's opponents unable to control their own movements. The stronger the user's aura presence—and if they are able to use "King's Tantra"—the stronger the effect. The effects are graded by class: Class 1—intimidation, Class 2—paralyzation, Class 3—submission.
Currently, the use of Tantra, in itself, is rare. It's users—even rarer. And even rarer, still, those who can manifest it and give it physical form (Ex: Greed and others like him…)
