The forest was alive with tension, every leaf and branch trembling as though aware of the battle to come. Leon Jian, Mei Lin, and Kael moved silently, the Celestial Jade's golden glow interlacing with the orb's crimson pulses—a warning and a promise of the power they now wielded.
"Scouts report heavy movement ahead," Kael whispered, his bow drawn and arrow notched. "Someone powerful… and they're coming straight for us."
Leon's golden eyes narrowed. "Then we don't wait. Let's meet them head-on."
Through the mist, a figure emerged—tall, imposing, cloaked in black with silver accents marking rank. Twin blades glimmered at his sides, radiating an aura of deadly precision. His eyes, cold and calculating, locked onto Leon.
"I am Shen Xun," the man announced, voice like tempered steel. "Eldric has sent me to retrieve the artifact… and eliminate you."
Leon tightened his grip on the Celestial Jade, feeling the orb pulse aggressively in response. "Then you'll learn why the reborn cultivator is no longer weak."
