Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : The Truth

The kid froze, upon hearing his question." I don't know about magicians,"

"All I know is They… they bend the natural laws, make fire out of nowhere." His gaze darted to Delvis,"Is Uncle Delvis… okay, sir?" quite nervous.

Nithin frowned, while looking for a suitable book for the kid. Actually he did find one a moment ago but now he's curious.

"Why are you scared of magicians?"

For some reason, Both of them were scared. Was it because of the powers magicians hold. But on second thought he didn't feel like they should be that scared. There's more to the story. As he looked at the kid shivering a little, His hunch was right there's more to the story.

"You can tell me, Anything. No need to worry"

The kid nodded and began speaking "A village… a day's walk from here,"

"A magician burned down the whole village causing many of my friends to die" he spoke, his eyes tearing up a bit, with some anger visible on the face.

'Burned a whole village'

No wonder they are scared of him. They think he's a magician cause he has books. And the papers are expensive they thought he was a Magician.

Nithin turned around holding the book.

He knelt to the kid's level, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, the book still tucked under his arm. "I'm so sorry about your friends," he said softly, meeting the boy's teary, angry eyes. "I'm not a magician, I promise. This place… it's just a library, full of stories to make things better, not worse."

The kid sniffled, before looking at the side.

"He's just reading," Nithin said, forcing a reassuring smile. Before handing him the book.

"Read this. It might help. It's about a kid who becomes a knight to protect his city."

Nithin felt like this was best, now that he heard the story of this kid, Raising from.humle begining.

The kid looked at the book in shock, realizing he could actually read.

"Now sit here and read. You might learn something. Look at how your Uncle Delvis reads," Nithin said.

The boy nodded and took a seat at one of the tables, opening the book with careful curiosity. Nithin smiled quietly—he already had two readers.

Watching them, his mind drifted. It was his sixth day in this world, and he still had no idea how this fantasy world truly worked. Was it the same fantacy world he read on novels? He didn't know.

It will take him to get out of this Library, Until then he has to be patient.

He glanced down at the boy. Like Delvis, the child was fully absorbed in his book, completely focused.

"Yeah… hopefully you become strong, learning the way of knights," Nithin muttered, settling back behind the counter and returning to the book he had been reading.

Suddenly he had a thought, 'Now that I think about it. What is his name?'

Nithin checked the book of the system. And just below the [1] Delvis a new name appeared [2] Leo.

"I see Lio, Good luck "

Imagining the excitement the kid might be feeling as he clearly remembered teb first time he read a story he excited he felt. Leo Should be feeling the same. Nodding he got back to reading he book he was reading before also giving a glance at outside.

"Will I get more readers like them today?"

hah!

Bam, A wooden sword struck down at the wooden puppet. Sweat dripping down from the foreheads tracing down the sharp eyes of the kid.

If Nithin was to see the boy, he would recognize the boy at one single glance.

"Leo stop, That's enough for today" A man's voice came from the side. The man had a broad body and was carrying a sword on hip.

Leo looked around, Tired from the training he just did, Still he made his back straight. "Yes master"

The man approached handing him a small piece of clothes. " Freshen up, Tomorrow you will leave for the Academy you need some rest " saying that the man turned around entering the home.

Leo smiled, Strict the man may sound he was kind. The man was his master. If it wasn't for him he could have died from starvation.

"It's been one year I see" Leo muttered. He still remembered what happened before he found himself in this new world. Where magicians doesn't exists. People rule the world with Swords here. They are refered to as aura user.

He doesn't know if he ever be able to return. But he knows one thing, it was a chance to gain streanth. The strength he needs to protect people. The opportunity granted by the Magician Nithin.

He looked outside, The sun was already casting down it's yellow light. It's almost the sunset. He was impressed both of them where occupied to reading for so many hours like that. They are really hooked to the story.
