Chapter 28 - Childhood Part 1

Tristan's blood ran cold as the guards stared daggers into his soul.

"Kid, what are you doing in a place like this? The party is above us." Guard number one said as he studied Tristan's behavior.

"Sorry, I got lost while searching for the bathroom. Could you point me in the right direction?" Tristan nervously asked, not wanting the guards to know he had been listening to the male and female conversation.

The second guard quickly saw this, but didn't push further; he leaned towards Tristan with a serious expression as he stared daggers into his soul. Tristan himself was feeling pressured, but didn't react as he maintained his slightly nervous demeanor.

"The party is that way. Once you get there, you could ask the guards there for directions." The second guard said as he pointed his hands towards the gala's direction. "Don't wander here again, kid." The second guard warned before walking away with the other four guards.

"Phew, I managed to escape, but I have to quickly warn Galaxy about what's going on," Tristan said to himself as he dashed towards the gala. "By the way, the name of that princess sounds familiar…what was her name?… I think it was Princess Lenora." Tristan continued running, making a puzzled expression, trying to remember where he had heard such a name.

As Tristan returned to the Royal gala, he was met with stares, mostly by the females. It turns out Tristan is actually a handsome guy. His crimson eyes made his gaze feel toxic in a good way, that is, and his silver hair made him look breathtaking.

Quickly, girls from every angle rushed towards him, wanting to know more about him, and Tristan, who never associated with people because of his blood category, felt nothing but disgust towards the girls who stared at him with lust instead of love.

"Hey, cutie."

"Why isn't my fiancé as cute as you?"

"Come on, handsome, follow me and let's ditch this party."

The girls said as each of them tried to catch Tristan's attention, heck, if it wasn't Tristan, any other sane boy would be happy right about now, over the moon in fact.

"These girls are nothing but complete trash. If I had told them my blood category, their attitude towards me would turn to a complete 180," Tristan said with his emotionless face as they clung to him. "I don't know when or how I got this, but I've learnt how to tell if someone is sincere or not," Tristan said as he stared at the girls who hovered around him like flies as his vision turned blurry a little.

"Hey Tristan, long time no see," a girl in a golden gown said as she pulled Tristan out of his self-drowning thoughts. She had beautiful blonde hair, a perfect figure that girls should aspire to have, a sweet voice that could melt your worries away, and beautiful green eyes that sparkled like emeralds.

Tristan was clueless as to who this girl was, but then murmurs began to erupt almost immediately at her presence.

"I never knew the princess was coming."

"She's gentle as she is beautiful."

"Although I envy her, I can't help but adore her."

From what Tristan could hear from the crowd, it seems like she was the princess of this country, also known as the princess of Nivera. Her presence was regal, her gaze a cold glare that could pierce anyone; she wore a little smile.

"Um, do I know you?" And as Tristan uttered those words, those who stood close to him dispersed immediately as they had just seen a ghost.

"You disrespectful wretch, don't dare talk to her highness like that," the princess's personal guard said as he stepped in front of the Princess.

"Um, sorry, I guess," Tristan said in a confused manner, rather than that of one who is reflecting on his wrongdoings. He was simply perplexed, as she was, although he knew she was a princess, he never felt obligated to grovel or fear such a person.

"I shall execute you immediately if you do not bow your head to her highness," the bodyguard said as he pulled out his sword and pointed it towards Tristan.

Normally, Tristan is a shy, respectful kid…but arrogant brats like this guy always bring out the worst in him for some reason.

"I would like to see you try." The gala that was filled with music and laughter turned silent as the weight of Tristan's word echoed in the air. The bodyguard's face was completely red as he clenched the hilt of his sword, then lunged towards Tristan.

After the experience with Linda that night, he began to evolve in strength; his eyes noticed the bodyguard using aura. Still, it wasn't strong enough to cause the onlookers any serious side effects. Tristan studied his movement and the small traces of aura surrounding the bodyguard's sword. He quickly dashed towards the bodyguard, as he looked like a blur to the normal eyes, and in that moment, Tristan subconsciously used aura. Still, to a little amount and then his chest, and immediately he flew back and landed into a wall, the attack wasn't that serious because he had surrounded himself with an aura. However, the force of Tristan's attack was unnatural.

Galaxy and Finn quickly rushed towards the source of the commotion, and both were met with the sight of Tristan being in the middle of the incident.

Tristan quickly looked around, noticing the kind of stares he received from onlookers, and everyone was now curious yet scared as to what the princess would do.

The air was tense as Tristan stared at her. "Um, sorry about your friend over there. I didn't mean to hurt him; he just."

"Ha ha ha ha oh my gosh trishy you're still the same idiotic boy I grew up with." The princess said as he laughed hard.

"Tristan was completely struck with realization as to who she was. "LENNY IS THAT YOU!?'

"In the flesh, long time no see, Trishy," Princess Lenora said with a smile on her face.
