"Ok, everyone lets have the rules for the first match. And the name of this round is Team to team gate battle," the announcer said as some groups of scientist begins to set up a device that then opened up four gates. Gates that we're artificially made, the crowd was shocked as it was their first time seeing something like this.
"Thanks to the SO corp, we now have devised a way to make artificial gates for training sessions in the school so...…. The rules of this round are quite simple first each team must battle each other while trying to find an orb like this at same time(he pulls out a big blue orb and shows it to the student)there are 4 orbs and each orb while lead you to a exit point which will bring you out of one of these three gates but you group must cross the exit with the orb in hand so that means other teams are allowed to snatch it from you.....So Everyone are you ready !" The commentator yelled after he was done explaining, trying to get the crowd hyped for the battle, and it successfully worked as the crowd went wild in excitement.
"On my count, All student's should run into the dungeon… 1!...…..2!...…3!!!!!!!!" And as the commentator said that Tristan and his group ran into the Gate, and immediately the entire surroundings around them changed, they were no longer in the stadium of Obsidian academy, instead they were in a desert, and the skies were clear as the desert moon shone brightly.
Tristan was amazed as the other students continued running ahead.
"This is...…. Amazing!" Tristan said as he stopped to take in the sight.
"Come on, Tristan, we're going to leave you behind, so catch up!" Malachi said as he surfed through the desert with his ice magic while leaving a trail of black ice behind him. Both Mimi and Alex used both their demon wing and angel wings to fly as they tried to catch up to Malachi.
A wide grin, Tristan began to jog, and from jogging, he started running, and from running, he began to blitz through passing everyone, even Malachi, Malachi Alex and mimi was shocked for a moment as Tristan continued going faster and not long after that shock turned to excitement as each one of them became faster and tried to surpass Tristan's speed.
"Looks like the first group has arrived at the first obstacle... The golem's zone," The announcer said as the crowd watched Tristan and his group running through the desert.
"Head's up, we are approaching the first part of the trial," Mimi said as she pulled out her sword, getting ready for battle.
"You look serious all of a sudden?" Alex said as he also pulled out his katana.
"Well, the golems are no joke, even if we can't find The Orb. We can gather points by destroying monsters and beasts, and when we have enough, we will be allowed to pass through." Malachi said as he started getting ready to release some of his ice magic.
"Tristan, there are some traps up ahead. If you step on them, they will trigger the summoning magic, and the golems will appear." Mimi said as they all kept moving ahead.
"So what do you want me to do?" Tristan asked.
"I need you to trigger all of them because you're the only one fast enough to trigger all of them at once," Mimi said as she looked at Tristan.
"Alright, leave it to me," Tristan said as he took a deep breath, and as he exhaled, he started growing fangs from his mouth, and his normal silver eye began to glow, and in an instance Tristan blitzed around the entire area where the summoning spells were placed and then triggered all of them.
Tristan felt lighter as he kept on going faster and faster, and at this point, Malachi couldn't even see Tristan.
"Was he always this fast? Or maybe it's begun?"Malachi questioned himself as he continued gliding on his black ice, but a golem that was summoned immediately appeared and brought him out of his thoughts.
"Oh my you're a big one...….but that won't be enough to stop me" Malachi said as he used his magic to make a massive icicle that made a huge hole in the golem and as that happened more golem's appeared and he just kept hitting them, while Alex on the other hand used his flame magic and quickly incinerated all the golem's with his fire magic, Mimi on the other used her golden sword and sliced through the Army of golem's.
"Now that I think about it, where is our Queen ego?" Malachi said as he referred to Eira. And at the same time, he noticed a massive army of golems ahead, so Malachi, Alex, and Mimi had to stop as they were baffled at the surprising number.
"They're like a colony of ants," Alex said as he looked worried and annoyed at the same time.
"That's why you should burn them," Eira said as she was seen flying above the army of golems, and surrounding her were two million Arrows made out of flames, and one was as strong as a C4 Explosion. All the contestants who caught up with Malachi's group were shocked as they saw Eira's magic.
"Who is she?"
"How does she have so much magic in her?" These were the thoughts of the Other contestant's as they felt weak in the face of Eira.
"Flame magic: Gale shot !!!!!" Eira yelled as she released the attack on the golem. The desert was filled with explosions from the attack, and eira just simply folded her hand as if this was just a mundane task to her, and the crowd watching this was overwhelmed with excitement.
"What this it look's like we have a rising star among the academy, not amongst the entire Index society." The commentator yelled as all eyes were fixed on Eira.
"This is what being strong looks like," Eira said as she looked at Malachi and his group before flying ahead, trying to reach the next stage.
"Is that a challenge ?" Malachi asked with an emotionless expression
"If it is, "Alex and Mimi said.
"Then we accept !!!!"Malachi, Mimi, and Alex said as their faces were now brimming with an unknown excitement.
Meanwhile, in the next zone, Tristan was bleeding. "Is this really all you could do? what a disappointment, I'll kill you here and now, "Shadow, one of OS subordinate said as he used the dagger he was holding in his hand and quickly removed Tristan's head.
