Alucard dashed toward Var.
"Beast Wreak!"
He folded his right fist as the air spiraled violently around it, compressing into a powerful vortex. Without slowing down, he drove the punch toward Var's chest.
Var calmly raised his right palm.
Boom!
The fist collided with his palm, and the force of the impact exploded behind Var instead of through him. A massive shockwave ripped across the barren land, shattering the earth for miles.
Var's expression remained calm. With a simple movement, he pulled Alucard's arm to the side before raising his right knee toward Alucard's stomach.
Alucard reacted instantly. He lowered his forearm and blocked the knee before flipping backward through the air.
The moment he landed he sprang upward again. His body rotated. His leg descended like an axe. Var calmly raised both hands.
Bang! The kick struck his guard. Alucard smiled.
"Foot of the Qilin."
His foot transformed instantly into that of a qilin.
White fur appeared around his leg while divine patterns spread across the transformed limb.
The force multiplied. Even Var's right hand trembled slightly before the impact drove him several feet into the ground.
The earth collapsed beneath him.
A deep crater formed. Alucard jumped backward and landed lightly on both feet.
Dust drifted through the air. Several seconds later Var calmly stepped out of the crater. Not a scratch could be seen on him.
He looked toward Alucard.
"This time…Try and use your soul power."
Alucard nodded. His transformed limbs returned to normal.
He slowly closed his eyes. His breathing became calm.
Deep inside, he felt it….His soul.
The silent strength that had always belonged to him. A faint smile appeared.
"Shinari."
His eyes snapped open.
Boom! His body disappeared.
He moved with the speed of a shadow beast, circling around Var so quickly that afterimages covered the battlefield.
Left, Right, Behind, Above.
He struck repeatedly from Var's blind spots.
Punches, Kicks, Claws. Var calmly blocked every strike.
His movements remained precise. Never excessive. Never hurried.
Then Alucard dashed straight toward him.
Both of his hands transformed into gigantic beast claws.
He swung. Var leaped backward effortlessly.
In the next instant He appeared beside Alucard. His fist shot toward Alucard's stomach.
Bang! The shell of the Mother Turtle suddenly covered Alucard's abdomen.
The punch landed. The shell absorbed the force Yet Alucard was still blasted backward several meters.
He slid across the ground before stopping himself.
The next moment Multiple arms erupted from his back.
They stretched outward like enormous tentacles, each racing toward Var from a different direction.
Var flowed between them effortlessly. Every grasp narrowly missed. The battlefield filled with dust.
Alucard smiled. Perfect. His crimson eyes transformed. Vertical dragon pupils appeared.
Even through the thick cloud of dust He could see everything.
He inhaled deeply.
"Ancient Dragon Breath!"
A colossal beam of blazing fire erupted from his mouth, tearing through the battlefield toward Var.
Var calmly raised his staff. One swing. The beam split perfectly down the middle.
The flames scattered harmlessly.
Then Var noticed something. Alucard wasn't there. He looked upward.
High in the sky Alucard floated with enormous wings spread wide behind him.
His expression remained focused.
"Phoenix Fire."
Dozens of blazing spheres appeared around him.
Then they rained downward simultaneously.
The explosions swallowed the battlefield.
Smoke engulfed everything. Silence followed.
Several moments later Var slowly walked out of the smoke.
Completely unharmed.
He looked toward Alucard and smiled.
"Good. Your soul power Shinari—is the ability to bend, warp, and adapt."
He gestured toward Alucard.
"You can simultaneously change into all the mythical creatures you know and use their powers."
He nodded approvingly.
"Other than that…You are good at close-quarters combat and you fight like a beast."
A faint smile crossed his face.
"You truly represent your nature."
Alucard smiled.
"Thanks, Instructor."
Var nodded.
Before anyone else could speak Isly stood.
"I guess it's my turn now."
She walked past Alucard.
As she did She smiled.
"You did good, Beast Boy."
Alucard sighed.
"I told you to stop calling me that."
Isly chuckled.
"Don't worry. It won't cause copyright infringement."
Alucard rubbed his forehead.
"That's not what I'm worried about."
He sighed again.
"Y'all are stressing me out."
Kaelus suddenly looked toward Rein.
"Oi, Rein. That was twenty-five minutes, you know."
Rein folded his arms.
"It was twenty-six. So you technically didn't win."
Kaelus immediately pointed at him.
"Hey! Why are you cheating?"
Eryndor laughed softly.
"He was supposed to be over here during the twenty-fifth minute but he took one more minute to get here."
Rein burst into laughter.
Kaelus clicked his tongue.
"Tch. Damn you, muscle-brain Mike Tyson-looking man."
The moment those words left his mouth Darius couldn't hold it anymore.
"Hahaha!"
He laughed out loud. Even Tina smiled.
Isly simply shook her head before continuing toward Var.
As she walked She summoned her staff.
Var smiled.
"A fellow staff user…This should be fun."
Isly stopped several meters away.
She bowed her head slightly.
"Please enlighten me, Instructor Var."
Var nodded.
"Ready when you are."
Isly slowly closed her eyes.
She reached inward. She felt her soul power. The silent strength flowing through every part of her existence.
Then she spoke.
"Chaos Nirvana."
Boom. Black flames erupted around her body.
They wrapped around her like living wings.
Her long hair ignited with black fire.
Two enormous wings of dark flame spread behind her.
Her eyes became completely black with narrow slitted pupils.
A smile slowly appeared across her face.
"Chaos."
Suddenly Black fire and pure chaos surged across the battlefield, burning everything in their path as they rushed toward Var.
Var calmly lifted his staff.
"Ninth-Level Magic… Divine Protection."
A brilliant golden light erupted around him.
The golden radiance collided head-on with Isly's advancing chaos and black flames.
BOOM!
The collision shook the barren land.
For miles the battlefield split perfectly in two.
One half burned beneath endless black chaos.
The other shone beneath divine golden light.
