Chapter 76 - Ch.76

Ash and Ayumi left, and Flint looked at Ash's retreating figure, his eyes flashing.

"To think he would get the acknowledgment of the Forest Goddess... I must report this to the League..." he thought to himself, already dialing the League's number.

On the other side, Ash was training with the three girls, completely unaware that his true nature had been exposed.

Or rather, he didn't care at all.

The several essences he held in his hands and his ever-growing psychic power and internal energy were his confidence.

At Indigo Plateau, the Pokémon League Headquarters.

Lorelei was sitting on her chair, scrolling on her phone.

It was time to restock the plush toys in her house. Despite her overwhelmingly large and beautiful figure and her glamorous and seductive appearance, Lorelei was still a slightly contrasting, naturally air-headed little girl at heart.

You could tell from the plush toys scattered all over her house...

A house that was so big, yet it was filled with her pillows everywhere except on the bed...

"Lorelei, I heard you know this Silver Dragon Hero?" Elite Four Agatha came in from outside, holding a new newspaper.

"Huh? He's the one who saved my life... Why?"

"Take a look at this."

Lorelei took the newspaper Agatha handed her. The front page was a report about the Silver Dragon Hero.

"Pfft... I didn't expect him to have this much skill?"

Lorelei bit her lip, and couldn't help but recall Ash's smile.

He's just a kid, but a genius... How can he be so talented?

The corner of her mouth couldn't help but curl upwards.

"If this person isn't a disguise for some big figure, then he's truly terrifying."

"To appear suddenly and make such a name for himself, excelling in both battling and research... He has accomplished something that even Professor Oak couldn't do at such a young age..." Agatha said, observing Lorelei's expression.

She was here to test Lorelei.

Based on what happened during their battle, Lorelei was the only one who had a close encounter with this mysterious Silver Dragon Hero.

From his actions, he most likely had feelings for this tender-hearted girl. If she started with Lorelei, she might be able to find out his identity.

As if sensing Agatha's gaze, Lorelei pouted and replied, "It's a shame I didn't get to take off his mask and get a good look at him..."

"Oh? This kid couldn't even win over you, the Ice Queen who has millions of admirers?"

"How could that be... He's a very busy person. He's also the honorary chairman of the Aether Foundation now. He probably doesn't even have a good impression of me..."

No matter how hard Agatha tried to probe, Lorelei didn't give anything away. In the end, Agatha could only express a few words of concern and leave.

After she left, Lorelei picked up the newspaper from the table and looked at it again.

"He's so good at showing off, he even caught the attention of the old-timers... It's a good thing your big sister is here to protect you..."

Lorelei stroked the enlarged photo of the Silver Dragon Hero on the newspaper, but her mind was replaying Agatha's actions.

She had already reported the details of the operation to the League when she returned. The fact that Agatha was now coming to ask again meant she had acquired some new information.

This was a departure from Agatha's usual habit of not caring about worldly affairs.

"Grandma... what exactly are you after?"

Lorelei's usually gentle voice suddenly turned cold. "You better not... target him. Otherwise, I will get angry..."

On the other side, Lance also hung up the phone after receiving a report from a staff member. He muttered to himself, "The Forest Goddess? Even I, who have the Power of Viridian, couldn't get her acknowledgment, yet a rookie trainer did?"

"I'll have to keep an eye on him..."

Ash, who was in Pewter City, was naturally unaware of the undercurrents his actions had stirred up in the League.

At this moment, he was rushing back with Ayumi.

"Beep beep beep..."

Ash's wristband rang. "Ash, where are you? Cough cough! The museum is on fire! Misty and I are here..."

The rest of Green's words were cut off by a busy signal and static.

"Green!" "Sister!"

Ash and Ayumi yelled her name twice, but there was no response from the other end of the line. Their hearts were filled with anxiety.

"Ayumi, hold on tight."

Ash didn't care about revealing his teleportation ability. He immediately wrapped his arms around Ayumi's slender waist and held her close. The internal energy in his body quickly switched to psychic energy. The next moment, the two of them disappeared from the spot.

At this very moment, in the museum.

"Damn it... the phone signal is cut off..."

Green looked at the unconscious Misty beside her, her face filled with worry.

The two of them were trapped in a second-floor exhibition room. Although the fire hadn't spread here yet, the thick smoke was already making it hard to breathe.

The two of them had originally come out of curiosity to see the Clefairy, a Pokémon said to be from space, and the related Moon Stones. But they ran into a group of Team Rocket grunts!

That's right, this fire was caused by Team Rocket. Their goal was to take advantage of the chaos to steal the giant Moon Stone that was recently discovered at Mt. Moon!

Right now, there were two rampaging Magmar on the second floor, constantly setting the exhibits on fire.

It was a good thing Green saw what was happening and pulled Misty into this small room before they could be discovered.

But Misty had inhaled a lot of toxic gas and fell unconscious.

Green had a gas mask she had made herself, which was similar to a mini oxygen tank.

That's why she was safe.

This room had no windows, but whether they broke through the wall or went out the door, they would alert the Team Rocket members outside!

Green pinched Misty's philtrum, her beautiful eyebrows furrowed.

"Swoosh!" Ash and Ayumi's figures appeared in a bush not far from the museum.

"Ash, you..." Enduring the discomfort of teleportation, Ayumi opened her mouth, extremely surprised.

She had no idea Ash had psychic powers.

Ash didn't explain. He just patted her on the head. "Sweetie, I have to go save Green and the others as soon as possible. You contact Officer Jenny, and I'll be right back."

With his psychic power, he could roughly pinpoint the location of Green and Misty. Ash looked toward a corner on the second floor, and with a thought, he disappeared from where he was standing.

"Hey!" Ayumi tried to stop him but grabbed nothing but air. She could only frown.

"It's always like this... It's all because I'm too weak..."

Ayumi's mind replayed the scenes of Ash taking care of her in the tree hollow and protecting her from the flock of Fearow... She couldn't help but clench the Poké Ball in her hand.

"Bang!"

Green, who was wearing a black Team Rocket uniform, was sent flying to the ground. Next to her was an unconscious Wartortle.

In front of her was a well-trained Fearow.

One could see the girl's well-shaped body trembling slightly. Her already fair complexion had no color, and she seemed to be terrified of something!

The story started ten minutes ago.

After hanging up on Ash, Green was still worried, especially since Misty's condition was very serious. So she put the gas mask on Misty, then used Ditto's ability to disguise herself as a Team Rocket grunt and successfully infiltrated the group.

Everything went smoothly at first. She successfully found the stolen giant Moon Stone and several fossil exhibits and took out the guarding grunts with a surprise attack.

Just as she was thinking about how to escape, Viper returned.

Viper was an instructor who trained Team Rocket's elite members. He was also the one who guided Jessie, James, as well as Butch and Cassidy.

He was the one leading the museum raid, with Butch and Cassidy helping to plan it. He didn't expect a little girl to ruin their plans in the chaos.

Viper immediately sent out his Pokémon to battle. Green was not one to back down. With Wartortle and Jigglypuff constantly using moves, they were able to hold their own.

But Butch and Cassidy, who had returned, sent out a Raticate and a Fearow.

After the two launched a surprise attack at close range, Green immediately lost her will to battle.

The reason was simple: her experience of being snatched by a large bird when she was a child was a nightmare for her. So she had a special fear of bird Pokémon. Normally, she would even consciously avoid Ash's Pidgeotto, let alone this ferocious Fearow...

After she lost the will to command, Wartortle and Jigglypuff were defeated one after another, and Green was sent to the ground.
