Aegon wondered why he was so nervous. Everything came out perfectly fine, just as he wished and expected. Sure, there were many times he almost failed, but it didn't matter because in the end, he did succeed.
Then why was he still so nervous about checking it?
"Don't worry about it." Liliana's voice reached him. "You aren't nervous about the results. You already know deep in your heart that it worked. You don't need proof. You're nervous about the aftermath."
Aegon turned towards her in mild surprise and then nodded in understanding. Indeed, he was more nervous about how all of this was going to play out.
Sure, he had created a miracle which would bring a new era for current humanity, but people who discovered nuclear reactions thought the same.
His intentions were good, but what if this product backfired instead? What if people found ways of using it in dangerous ways and it led to more destruction than the welfare of mankind?
