The Spell Sphere was the sentence in this case, formed by various runes. The world would "read" that sentence and carry out the command, even if it didn't like it.
That was the power of Runes.

A Spell Sphere, also known as a Rune Sphere, determined the rank of a spell. Each rank had a specific number of spheres that made up the Spell Sphere.
