After Yang and Mercury's match, the other six finalists went through their respective matches, as we see Nick using TegaSword and the Zyuohger Sentai Ring to morph into Zyuoh Eagle, using his ability to fly to out maneuver Sun and slashing him with the EagRiser, while also switching into Zyuoh Gorilla for enhanced strength. Though Sun was, surprisingly, able to hold his own against Nick's usage of switching between flight and strength, Nick ultimately won by using his finisher to both deplete Sun's Aura, and also knock him out of the ring. Next was Pyrrha defeating a student from Haven dressed as a musketeer, then was Penny defeating a hooded student from Shade. Afterwards, Pyrrha defeated Yang by using her Semblance, Polarity, on Yang's Ember Celica to dodge her attacks easily. Nick was set to fight Penny afterwards, but right as he entered the arena, and morphed into Zenkaizer using the Zenkaiger Ring, much to everyone in the audience's surprise that Nick turned into a White Ranger instead of a Red Ranger, Penny ended up being no-show, as Ironwood decided to pull her out of the tournament. This resulting in Nick winning the match by default, and let's just say...nobody was happy about it, as Penny didn't even get the chance to face Nick, so they could see which of the two would've fought Pyrrha. Right now, it was time for the tournament to come to an end.
Oobleck: (over the broadcast) "Alright, it's now time to begin the final match of the 40th Vytal Festival Tournament!"
Port: "And quite the match this will be. Because it looks like our final contender is...Nick Brown, from Beacon! And his opponent is...Pyrrha Nikos, also from Beacon!"
Oobleck: "Truly a match of the century! As we will now see who between the legendary Kamen Rider, the first Huntsman in history, and the Invincible Girl, four year champion of the Mistrial Regional Combat Tournament, is truly the mightiest of the two!"
Down in the arena of Amity Colosseum, Nick and Pyrrha are standing in position.
Nick: "Well, Pyrrha, looks like it's a battle the whole planet is looking forward to."
Pyrrha: "It appears so, Nick." (thought) 'Even if I'm facing against my friend, who is also the first Huntsman...I'll give this fight everything I got.'
Nick then morphs into GozyuWolf, and summons the OrcaBooster5050.
GozyuWolf: "Well, OrcaBooster, it's finally time to show everyone here what you're truly capable of."
Right as GozyuWolf says this, energy surges from the OrcaBooster into his GozyuWolf Ring, causing it to take on a new appearance, and energy then surges around GozyuWolf.
TegaSword Morpher: Wild Power Up!
GozyuWolf now stands in his upgraded form, now being...Wild GozyuWolf, as he then howls towards the sky, releasing a red sonic wave that causes an incredibly strong gust of wind that can be felt at amazing force across the whole stadium, as both Pyrrha and everyone in the audience try to hang on tightly, fearing of, literally, being blown away by Wild GozyuWolf's howl.
Ruby: "This howl is really different from the one's he did in past rounds! I think this might be one of Nick's stronger forms!"
Weiss: (sarcastically) "Oh, really?! What gave you that idea?! Because I thought it was because of the really strong gust of wind!"
Wild GozyuWolf: (stops howling, and gets in a fighting stance) "Alright, Pyrrha, it's time to find out which of us is the true No.1 Warrior!"
Pyrrha nods and readies herself, her weapons Miló and Akoúo̱ already in hand.
Oobleck: "3, 2, 1...BEGIN!"
Suddenly, Wild GozyuWolf charges at Pyrrha at immense blinding speed, and tries to slash her with his TegaSword, which Pyrrha barely avoided.
Pyrrha: (thought) 'He's way faster in this form. I barely dodged his attack!'
Wild GozyuWolf then swipes his left foot on Pyrrha's leg, causing her to trip as he then roundhouse kicks her back, causing her to be sent a few feet away, as she quickly recovers and tries to shoot her opponent, only for Wild GozyuWolf to either dodge or block every shot.
Port: "My word! What a tremendous display by Mister Brown!"
Pyrrha: (thought) 'He's too fast! I can't land a single hit on him!'
Wild GozyuWolf then charges at Pyrrha once more, and tries to slash her, only for her to dodge again.
Pyrrha: (thought) 'His suit...it's not made of metal. It's...made of...spandex...my Semblance is useless on him!'
Wild GozyuWolf then tries to shoot her with a powerful blast of water from the OrcaBooster, which Pyrrha blocks with her shield.
Wild GozyuWolf: "Time to wrap this up!"
Wild GozyuWolf then flips the scope on his ring open and turns the arena into a red moonlit forest, at which he then dashes around Pyrrha with blinding speed, as he then begins slashing her multiple times before delivering a powerful final slash.
TegaSword Morpher: Finish Finger! Wild Wolf!
Both GozyuWolf, who flips the scope on his ring close, and Pyrrha then stand completely still...as Pyrrha's sword strikes the ground about ten-feet away.
Pyrrha: (in complete shock. thought) 'I...I...lost...'
Pyrrha then loses consciousness, and collapses on the ground. The whole audience, both those at the stadium and those watching the match on live TV, is completely silent, as the monitor shows that Nick's Aura is still at 100%, while Pyrrha's Aura is now at 0%.
Port: "...Ladies and Gentlemen...Nick Brown...Wins!"
The entire audience break into cheers, as confetti then bursts across the whole stadium. While Wild GozyuWolf puts the OrcaBooster away, and his index finger towards the sky.
Oobleck: "Unbelievable! Nick Brown has not only won the 40th Vytal Festival Tournament...but is also now the first person to defeat Pyrrha Nikos!"
However...the celebration was suddenly cut short, as the sound of a wailing alarm throughout the structure, with humans and Faunus and even a Henchman holding a tub of popcorn looking up in alarm at the orange flashing screens reading "CAUTION".
Warning Announcer: "Alert! Alert! Incoming Grimm attack! Threat level: Ten! Please seek shelter in a calm and orderly manner!"
The crowds begin to flee, wild and screaming, through the exit tunnels, while Ironwood enters the announcers' box and grabs the microphone from between Port and Oobleck.
Ironwood: "Ladies and gentlemen, please. There is no need for panic."
With that said, a Giant Nevermore appears atop the arena's domed force field, giving a series of deafening screeches as it claws and pecks at the defense with its beak.
Sun: (standing up in alarm along with Coco) "A Nevermore!?"
Coco: (lowering her sunglasses) "How did it get past the Kingdom's defenses!?"
Ren: (rising up beside them) "It wasn't alone."
Nick: (watches everything that's happening, with a very serious look on his face) "...It's finally started."
In the headmaster's office, Ozpin is gripping his cane tight, watching the city come under attack with a horrified expression.
Qrow: (runs in with Glynda) "Oz!"
Ozpin: (turns to them) "Get to the city!"
Qrow: "But-"
Ozpin: (resolutely) "NOW!"
Qrow and Glynda exchange a look before going back the way they came. Meanwhile, Mountain Glenn is almost silent, as every monster lurking there from Beowolves to Boarbatusks, Ursai and Nevermores, and even lumbering Goliaths with wide red eyes rush forward.
Ironwood: (back at the Colosseum watching the Nevermore attack the shields until he answers his Scroll, stammering) "Ozpin, this is...What Nick warned us about!"
Ozpin: (gravely) "You brought your army to my Kingdom, James. Even though Nick you not to get involved. (a beat, then angrily) Use it."
Ironwood's worry turns to determination. His fleet of ships are being attacked by even more giant Nevermores though to minimal effect. Soldiers inside are scrambling to enter commands inside the bridge around their commanding officer.
Atlas Ship Captain: "Dammit! (speaking into his Scroll as he turns to the screen of data) This is Blue Four! Blues Two and Three, fall into defensive position!"
Blue Three: (over the Scroll) "Roger! Blue Three, in position!"
Atlas Ship Captain: "Blue Two, what's your status?"
Blue Two: "Blue Two, in position!"
Finally, at Beacon's cliffside landing platforms, three Bullheads arrive, the middle one opening its hatch to reveal four members of the Black Fang, along with Adam, and their leader, Shadow.
Shadow: (smiles evilly) "Bring them to their knees!"
Another Bullhead opens its door, this time with several creatures of Grimm inside. A growling Ursa jumps from it and lands on Academy grounds. The foreboding scene darkens as the Ursa's roar echoes, leaving only the burning red eyes of the monster, until they too disappear and the scene fades to black.
