Chapter 4 - Las a big adventure episode 4

Sifu strode across the bustling square of Rock City, his steps steady as his gaze locked on the towering city hall ahead.

The building rose three stories high, vast and imposing, its design reminiscent of an old academy. At its front stood a massive wooden door, tall enough to dwarf even the bravest warrior.

Guarding the entrance were two squirrels, their eyes sharpening the moment they noticed Sifu's approach. Without hesitation, they stepped forward, bowed slightly, and greeted him with respect:

"Master Sifu, welcome. Grov awaits you in his office."

Sifu smiled warmly, placing his hands on the squirrels' shoulders with a friendly gesture, as if he had known them for years.

The two squirrels approached the colossal door and pushed it open with effort, its wooden frame creaking as it gave way.

Sifu stepped inside the building.

The interior revealed a vast, radiant hall—white and immaculate, built of stone and marble. On both sides stood statues, masterfully carved from stone, silent guardians of the place.

Ahead, a wide staircase stretched upward, leading to three towering windows that overlooked the city below.

Beneath those windows, two smaller staircases curved upward, guiding the way to the upper floors of the building

Sifu climbed the stairs slowly, each step deliberate—moving at the pace of a tortoise, quite literally.

On the second floor, he entered a vast hall filled with rows of desks, one after another. At the desks sat various animals, signing papers, carrying folders, and discussing plans for new constructions needed in the city.

Amidst the bustle, a female rabbit wearing glasses hurried by, her arms stacked with folders. In her rush, she accidentally bumped into Sifu, sending the papers scattering across the floor.

Flustered, the rabbit stammered, "I'm so sorry!"

Sifu only smiled gently in return.

Quickly, the rabbit gathered the fallen folders, bowed her head in embarrassment, and scurried away.

Sifu resumed his slow ascent, climbing the final staircase.

On the third floor, he found himself before a grand door with an inscription that read: Mayor of Rock City.

Without knocking, Sifu pushed it open and stepped inside.

As Sifu entered the office, his gaze fell upon an owl with piercing yellow eyes, casually sipping alcohol from a glass.

With an irritated look, Sifu muttered,

"Grov… drinking again?"

Grov raised his head, a faint grin spreading across his beak.

"Sifu, my old friend! How long has it been since I last saw you?"

Sifu crossed his arms and replied dryly,

"One day… I'd guess?"

Laughing, Grov reached under his desk, pulled out another glass, and poured it full of liquor. He slid it across the desk toward Sifu.

"Come on, have a drink. You look… far too down."

Sifu shook his head firmly.

"I don't drink."

Sifu narrowed his eyes, his tone firm.

"What's going on, Grov? Why did you call me here?"

Grov's grin faded. He set the glass down on the desk, his expression turning grave.

"We need to talk…" he said slowly, his voice carrying a weight that filled the room.

"…about the Black Wolves."
