Montana Missoula, March 10th,1990
It's been two months since the girls moved in Joham had returned and immediately start researching werewolves he was pleased to find out about the progress of me and Maysun relationship. The same could not be said for William and Serena I heard he evened argued my mother about. This put a halt on their relationship they still like each other but Serena loyalty to her father made things complicated.
Today I planned to go a hunt with everybody this was to help strengthen the bonds between us but was for later. Right now, I was busy thinking of ways to recruit people it was too soon to start making a guard. Instead, I thought of making allies I had few options there were the Denali and Egyptian coven there also Vladimir and Stefan the last two Romanians. All of them could be convince if I showed I was powerful enough to lead them.
I should also ask mom for help I know she has history with the Egyptian coven along with Vladimir and Stefan. Hopefully the history between wasn't to negative I needed as many allies as I could get there also the Mexican coven, but they were always at war. I also thought of using children of the moon like mother was planning but that would extremely dangerous. I put does thoughts aside for now as I arrived at my mother's room.
''Mother we need to talk'' I said as opened the door.
''What is it my son'' she asked?
''I wanted to talk to you about the Denali and Egyptian covens'' I said.
''You want to recruit them don't you'' she guessed immediately.
''Yes, but first I wanted to know your history with them'' I ask?
''Very well I'll start with the Denali Coven my history with them is much simpler'' she stated.
''Alright'' I said.
''I was in romantic relationship with one of their members Irina she was special compared to others I had been with'' she said fondly.
I raised an eyebrow at that besides my father she nevered talk about her former lovers in such away.
''I was also close to her sisters as well I spent a year with them until I left at the time, I was afraid of telling them my secret I just wasn't ready yet'' she said sounding for regretful.
''I see'' I said sympathetically. ''That's manageable what about the Egyptian coven'' I ask?
''I meant them accidentally in 1819 when I traveled to Egypt the leader Amun caught me killing some of his subordinates instead of trying to kill me invited me to talk on that they we talked about many things he tried to convince me to join his coven and become vampire I obviously refused in the end we parted on friendly terms I haven't spoken to them much since then'' she explained.
''If you're not on bad terms with any of them then I would like you to help me to convince to join are cause'' I ask?
''It was hard always hard to say no to you'' she said affectionately.
''Thank you, mother'' I said. ''What about those two Romanians I think they would be useful tools'' I ask?
''They will join us all they live for at this point when the time comes, I'll contact them'' she said.
''Alright who do you think we should contact first'' I ask?
''Will start with the Egyptian first Amun is caution man he'll hard to convince'' she suggested.
''If that's the case why not save them for last'' I ask?
''Good point we should probably start with Denalis first'' she said hesitantly.
''That woman must have left a strong impressive on you to have you acting like these'' I said smiling.
''I'm the one who gets to tease you not the other way around brat'' she said flustered.
''Whatever you say'' I said cheekily. ''There also the Mexican coven I think they can be useful as well'' I said.
''There always at war aren't they what makes you think they'll help us'' she said.
''Simple I'll end their war at least temporary that should be enough to gain their friendship'' I said.
''I don't like that at all but I trust you my son'' she said.
''Thank you for the trust mother'' I said before leaving.
''Maysun I just got down talking with mother about recruitment she agreed to help'' I said.
''That's good when plan start'' she asked?
''Not until next year'' I stated.
''Ok did you have anything planned for today''
''Nothing besides the hunt'' I said.
[William POV]
Ever since Joham returned the relationship between me and Serena have been tense that man was really started to irritate me. I didn't care if he was her father he had not right to interfere with our relationship he's lucky I don't kill him I thought darkly. At first, I just wanted to be friends it was the practical thing to do yet we kelp getting closer and closer.
I want to be with her I don't care about the difference in species I don't care for her father's disapproval. I just wanted her I knew she felt the same, but her father was getting in the way this made even more grateful for my mother. She was certainly an unconventional mother, but she was never like Joham she always taught us without trying to control us.
''Brother, I wanted to talk to you before the hunt'' said Marcus
''What is it'' I asked?
''Mother has agreed to my plans will start reaching out next year'' he said.
''Why not now'' I ask confused?
''I want to spend the rest of the year in peace before we start preparing for war'' he said.
I understood his attention immediately he just wanted to spend more time with Maysun before they put there lies at risk not that blame him.
''Alright who will we start with first'' I ask?
''The Denali Coven then Mexican Coven that's where will test our abilities'' he said.
''Mom really agreed to that'' I ask excited?
''She has'' he confirmed.
''Finally, a chance to cut loose'' I said smiling.
''You ready to hunt'' he asks?
''Yea let's go'' I said
[Maysun POV]
''Serena, we need to talk'' I said.
''What is it my sweet little sister'' she teased.
''Don't think teasing me will get you out this conversation'' I said.
''Marcus certainly has left his mark you your much more defiant and less of a push over now you really have grown'' she said sounding both proudful and annoyed.
''We need to talk about you and William'' I said getting straight to the point.
''What is there to talk about'' she said playing the fool.
''You like him there no denying that he likes you as well why are you hesitating'' I ask?
''It's not that simple'' she said weakly.
''Yes, it is your just afraid to take what you want'' I accused.
''Don't talk to me like I'm weak girl'' she said annoyed.
''You act like one whenever father is envolved'' I pointed out.
''He is our father or have you forgotten'' she accused.
''Don't act like I don't care for father just because I don't let him order me around anymore we both know I never aligned with you and father's views'' I said rolling my eyes.
''But you're ok following Marcus a man you haven't even known for a year'' she said angrily.
''Yes, because he's my mate and trust him'' I said without hesitation. ''As much as you look down on humans at least, they have the decency to let their children become they're own person'' I said honestly.
''Shut up and get out'' she said angrily.
''I don't want to fight with you sister I just don't want you to miss out on something great because of father you can't live forever under he's shadow you deserve to choose your own life'' I said softly. ''I'll see later just think about my words that's all I ask'' I said before leaving.
