Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Counterattack! Haru’s Fury

Kenta's shock was quickly overtaken by rage.

'A worthless loser like him… so what if he awakened the Sharingan by dumb luck?'

Did he really think he could turn the tables?

"Hmph. Think you're something just 'cause you awakened one Tomoe?"

Kenta's eyes were cold, his voice dripping with disdain and jealousy.

"Don't fool yourself. That doesn't change the fact that you're trash!"

With a growl, he made the first move. His body lunged forward, right fist clenched tight. Chakra surged—not much, but enough—as he threw a straightforward punch, aiming right for Haru's face.

He went all in, hoping to smack that smug look off Haru's face and send him crashing back to reality.

But within the one-Tomoe Sharingan's vision, Kenta's movement slowed to a crawl.

Haru could clearly see the chakra flowing through Kenta's fist, the subtle flex of his shoulder, the torque in his waist—every twitch laid bare.

The insight of the Sharingan.

'Too slow.'

Haru let out a cold snort in his mind. His body responded instinctively.

Just as Kenta's punch was about to land, Haru shifted his weight slightly, sidestepping with barely a movement. The blow missed him completely.

At the same time, his right leg whipped out like a lash, carrying power far beyond anything he'd ever unleashed. The kick slammed with pinpoint precision into Kenta's supporting left knee.

Crack!

A faint pop echoed in the air.

"AAAGH!"

Kenta screamed as searing pain exploded in his knee. His body crumpled, and with a thud, he dropped to one knee, cold sweat pouring down his face.

One move.

That's all it took.

Kenta—who had been so full of himself moments ago—was floored in a blink.

"Kenta!"

Gō and another flunky, Ken, cried out in shock.

Never in their wildest dreams did they expect the punching bag they bullied every day would, after awakening the Sharingan, suddenly become this powerful.

"You bastard! How dare you hurt Kenta!"

Gō was furious. He quickly formed hand seals, ready to launch a jutsu.

But Haru didn't give him the chance.

The instant Gō moved, Haru had already predicted his chakra nature and the jutsu type.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Haru's hands flashed through the seals even faster than Gō's.

He drew in a breath, his chest swelling, then exhaled hard.

Fwoooosh—!

A blazing fireball over a meter wide burst forth—bigger, hotter, and more intense than anything Haru remembered casting before. It tore through the air straight toward Gō.

"What the—?!"

Gō had barely reached halfway through his seals. When he saw the massive fireball screaming toward him, his eyes widened in horror.

There was no time. He couldn't finish his jutsu. Couldn't dodge.

BOOM!

The fireball swallowed him whole.

"Aaaaaaagh!"

His scream pierced the air as he was blasted backward like a ragdoll. He slammed into the wall with a sickening thud, body charred black, the stench of burned flesh rising off him. He passed out instantly.

One-shot.

Another one-shot.

And Haru had held back. If he hadn't, Gō might've been reduced to ash on the spot.

Now only Ken was left—face pale, legs trembling like twigs in a storm.

He stared at Haru, who now walked toward him step by step. Those red tomoe eyes seemed like the gaze of death itself.

"D-Don't come any closer!"

Ken's voice cracked, on the verge of tears. Gone was all his swagger.

He tried to run—but his legs wouldn't move, as if weighed down by iron.

Haru stopped in front of him, towering overhead, his gaze cold and unreadable.

"Who was it that called me trash just now?"

Ken shivered violently. A chill surged up from his feet to the top of his head.

"I-It wasn't me… it was Kenta! Gō too! They said it, not me!" he babbled, trying to deflect the blame.

"Oh?" Haru raised an eyebrow, a mocking smile on his lips. "Then what about the 'protection fees'?"

"T-There weren't any! Lord Haru, we're sorry! We were wrong! We won't do it again!"

With a loud thud, Ken dropped to his knees, snot and tears streaming down his face as he kowtowed in panic.

This Haru—he was nothing like the spineless loser they remembered.

The aura of cold, overwhelming strength rolling off him shook Ken to his core.

Haru stared at him with chilling detachment. He didn't even need to lift a finger.

With the Chunin-level chakra and physique granted by the starter pack, paired with the one-Tomoe Sharingan's insight, dealing with these small-fry Genin felt like squashing ants.

"Leave."

Haru said it coldly, one word.

Ken looked like he'd just been pardoned by the gods. He scrambled to his feet, dragging the limp Kenta and slinging the unconscious Gō over his shoulder, fleeing like a kicked dog.

Haru watched their pathetic retreat. Slowly, the blood-red color faded from his eyes, his pupils returning to black.

He exhaled deeply, and the tension in his muscles finally relaxed.

The chakra flowing through his body, the new vision granted by the Sharingan… it all made him feel like he was finally in control.

"Starting today, I, Haru, will never be anyone's toy again."

He clenched his fists. Determination flashed in his eyes.

As the system panel appeared in his mind, Haru's brows furrowed.

'Clan Honor? Clan Strength Assessment?'

So this system didn't just enhance him—it was tied to the fate of the entire clan.

"Uchiha Clan… beset from all sides…"

He murmured under his breath. With the knowledge from his past life's memories of the Naruto story, a wave of urgency rushed through him.

After the Nine-Tails' Rampage, the Uchiha Clan was suspected and pushed aside by Konoha's top brass. In the end, they were pushed to the brink of annihilation.

He had no intention of becoming another corpse in that tragedy.

"System," Haru called silently, "explain your full functions."
