Chapter 67 - The Big Scene

Magneto was unsure if Apocalypse placing Psylocke by his side was truly to help him or to monitor him.

However, until he decided to turn against Apocalypse, Magneto was not prepared to drive her away.

"What exactly do you want to do?"

Psylocke watched Magneto fly towards a massive Stadium that had just been completed but not yet opened, somewhat confused about his intentions.

"You'll know soon enough!"

"I want to prepare a cage for them, just like the one they once prepared for our people."

Magneto and Psylocke thus brazenly flew into the Stadium.

"Hey! Stop, buddy, and you, sexy lady. The final facilities are still being completed here, and it's not open to the public yet, so please leave."

The construction team in the Stadium saw Magneto and Psylocke intrude, immediately put down their tools, and stepped forward to block them.

"No need!"

Magneto said something to the lead worker that left him bewildered, then ignored him.

"Buddy, please leave. I'm not kidding, this is our job."

As he spoke, the other workers slowly approached, holding various tools and looking unfriendly.

"I think you can find a new job!"

As his voice fell, Magneto extended a hand forward, and the magnetic field surged.

The tools held by the workers began to violently shake uncontrollably.

"He, they are those guys..."

A worker had recently seen reports about Mutants on TV, so he immediately connected them to Magneto and his identity.

"Get out, monsters! You're not welcome here!"

But there were still those unafraid of death; a worker holding a steel bar, with disgust in his eyes, threw a still-burning cigarette butt towards Magneto.

The cigarette butt, carrying sparks, flew over, but it was fiercely pressed to the ground by an invisible force not far from Magneto!

Now, almost instinctively, Magneto could use his control over electromagnetism to manipulate gravity and weight within a certain range around him.

The cigarette butt had suddenly entered Magneto's super-gravity field, which he had spread around himself, and quickly lost its forward momentum.

Seeing the undisguised disgust on their faces, Magneto felt that a war against humanity was very necessary!

"Monsters, huh! Then let me show you what kind of power the 'monsters' you speak of possess."

With a thought from Magneto, a steel bar carried by that worker seemed to come alive, coiling around the worker's neck like a writhing venomous snake.

"Ugh!"

The steel bar on his neck slowly tightened, bringing a suffocating sensation.

That worker had never expected the Mutant in front of him to actually dare to attack him.

They were used to their freedom and dared to express their dissatisfaction without reservation, no matter who they encountered.

He looked to the other workers beside him for help, but they had already been terrified by Magneto's immediate action!

Left with no choice, the worker could only look at Magneto, his eyes filled with fear and dread, and of course, hidden disgust and hatred.

"I know you despise us, simply because we are different, but more than your hatred, I hope you fear us."

After speaking, Magneto applied a little more force.

The steel bar on the worker's neck immediately tightened again, and within a few breaths, his face turned crimson, and his eyes began to bloodshot.

Then, with a snap, the neck supporting his head broke!

The other workers immediately abandoned everything and scattered, fleeing in all directions.

Psylocke, beside him, felt little emotion about Magneto killing someone; she had been involved in society for quite some time, and killing a person or two was a minor affair.

With no one in the way, Magneto slightly clenched his outstretched hand.

Immediately, the massive Stadium echoed with the sound of concrete breaking, and countless steel bars buried deep underground were pulled out.

Slowly, the entire Stadium lifted into the air.

"Let's go!"

Greeting Psylocke beside him, Magneto took the Stadium and flew towards the White House.

Psylocke gazed deeply at the figure flying in the air, silently cast out a purple whip from her left hand, wrapped it around a corner of the Stadium, and followed it as it flew away.

Soon, vehicles and pedestrians on the ground felt a huge Shadow drifting across the sky and couldn't help but look up.

"Shit, am I hallucinating? How can I see a Stadium flying in the sky?"

A man driving a convertible felt somewhat incredulous, thinking he was hallucinating. He quickly got out of his car, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it, hoping to clear his head, but as he exhaled a puff of smoke, the Stadium in the sky was still there.

The next moment, a broken piece of concrete suddenly fell from the sky onto the hood of his new car.

"Fuck! Fuck!"

The man furiously cursed at Magneto and his flying Stadium, even forgetting why a Stadium could fly in the sky.

At this time, outside the White House, all the guests were already seated, and Professor X and Mystique were, of course, not absent.

They, as Mutants, were the protagonists of this grand event!

As the saying goes, 'know yourself and know your enemy.' In the future, they might have to deal with these things, so they needed to understand them.

"Charles, if the government truly declares war on Mutants after today, what should we do?"

Raven, who had changed her appearance, pushed Professor X's wheelchair, her face filled with worry as she spoke.

"I will not allow such a thing to happen again, even if it means using methods I prefer not to."

After learning about the dark future of Mutants, Charles's heart was not unmoved.

"When constant retreat cannot bring peace, then perhaps Erik's approach is not a bad choice."

To maintain peace through violence, Professor X, with Cerebro, was the most dangerous person for this World.

He could instantly connect the minds of everyone in the entire World, he could alter their memories, and of course, he could completely erase them.

However, in the original future, Charles never even considered this idea, even when facing the brink of extinction for his kind.

And all of this began to change after the crisis of reversing the future!

"Ladies and gentlemen! Everyone gathered here today, I believe, already knows why!"

"We are about to face the most severe crisis in history - Mutants!"

...

"Regarding this, of course, we are not unprepared. Please look, everyone."

The President of the United States delivered an impassioned speech, then with a wave of his hand, sixteen first-generation Sentinel Robots, covered by a giant U.S. flag, were officially unveiled.

Immediately, the venue erupted in enthusiastic cheers and applause.

However, many in the audience were not particularly moved by this, such as Howard Stark.

As a veteran of the Scientific Strategic Group, he naturally knew many secrets. Mutants and humans had always coexisted peacefully; it was only certain ambitious individuals who wanted to control Mutants and uncover their powerful secrets, which led to the conflict between the two.

To be honest, he did not approve of declaring war on Mutants.

Hank Pym shared the same attitude; both had personally experienced war and were therefore averse to any war provoked by any situation or reason.

What the government was doing now was no different from what the Nazis had done to the Jews!

They both regretted coming here!

Perhaps out of shared feelings, the two couldn't help but turn their heads and look at each other.

At this moment, there was no misunderstanding, only two identical hearts.
