Chapter 49 - Young Beast

Logan walked out of the room, looking at the decades-old scenery around him, feeling a bit disoriented at first.

However, memories slowly began to surface in his mind, and he gradually became familiar with everything around him.

He found the car belonging to the three men from before and opened the door.

Inside the car sat the woman who had been lying on the bed earlier.

"Jimmy, what on earth happened to you? You've been rambling ever since we started."

The woman still called Logan by his old nickname, a name only his closest relatives, like his brother Sabretooth, knew.

But ever since he impulsively killed his adoptive father, he stopped using his original name, James Howlett, and renamed himself Logan Howlett.

After undergoing modifications and gaining a body of steel, he mostly went by his codename, Wolverine.

Logan also recalled that he once had a relationship with the woman beside him that transcended ordinary desire, which was why he had told her his nickname in a moment of excitement.

"Listen, Gwen, I need to go do something great now, you can get out of the car!"

Wolverine, back from the future, had no interest in lingering in a tender embrace.

Like a heartless scoundrel, he directly opened the door and told the woman to get out.

"Hmph!"

The woman was also a bit angry; just last night, this man had been so affectionate, and now he was completely turning his back on her.

After getting out of the car, she stared at Logan through the car window, hoping he would change his mind and take her with him.

Unfortunately, Logan showed no pity, driving away without a backward glance!

The woman gritted her teeth, watching the car disappear into the distance, but there was nothing she could do.

Just as Logan embarked on his journey to change history and reverse the future, history was quietly unfolding.

At a meeting that would impact the fate of Mutants, Bolivar was using his eloquent tongue to persuade the Military to continue supporting his research and to approve his Sentinel program.

"We just suffered a defeat on the Vietnam battlefield, and now we are reviewing all defense spending."

"Even if what you say is true, we have lived in peace with Mutants for countless years, and they still live under the order we established."

"I don't think your actions have any meaning, and we cannot support your weapons aimed at our own citizens."

A Military council member unceremoniously rejected Bolivar's proposal.

"Sir, if you continue to underestimate the enemy before you, then the front line of this war will not be in Vietnam, half a World away!"

"It will be our cities, our streets, our homes."

"When you realize all this, it will already be too late, and you will go to your graves with yet another defeat."

However, Bolivar's words did not change the minds of these council members.

After experiencing one defeat, they did not want to immediately start a new war, especially not a war against the relatives of the disillusioned public.

They knew very well that once this war began, the impact would be immeasurable.

As politicians, their first consideration was their own political careers, so they still rejected Bolivar's proposal.

Facing a group of short-sighted politicians, Bolivar did not give up his idea of researching Mutants.

Meanwhile, on the Vietnam battlefield, the defeated U.S. Military was completing the evacuation of the last batch of soldiers.

However, among them were some special individuals, a Mutant squad.

But now, their commanding officer, Colonel Stryker, had sold them to Trask Industries as experimental guinea pigs.

Because Bolivar and Stryker had already formed a partnership, they shared the same understanding of the Mutant problem.

However, an uninvited guest disrupted all their plans: Mystique Raven.

At this time, she used her abilities to transform into the likeness of a colonel and entered the tent of the Mutant squad, who were awaiting entry into another experimental cage.

Here, she also encountered the Mutant's greatest opponent in the future—William Stryker.

He was also a left-winger dedicated to eliminating all Mutants.

Through a confrontation, Raven, with the cooperation of the Mutant squad members, successfully knocked down all the soldiers guarding them, then put them on a transport plane to escape!

Raven stayed behind alone because she had some suspicions about Trask Industries, which wanted to take these Mutants.

Here, she discovered the secret cooperation between Trask Industries and the Military, and later she infiltrated Trask Industries, uncovering data on their inhumane experiments on her own kind.

This fueled her desire to kill Bolivar, and all of this was developing in the direction of the original history.

...

Logan had originally intended to go to the so-called Kamar-Taj to find Shen Mu, but he found that he couldn't leave the country for a while.

So, out of necessity, he decided to first meet the Professor of this era.

Following the address in his memory, Logan drove to the entrance of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Unlike his memory, the place now looked somewhat abandoned.

The gate had signs that read 'Private Property, No Entry,' and the sign with the school's name was casually thrown into the weeds by the roadside.

Logan looked at everything around him and couldn't connect it to the future Mutant school, the X-Men's Base.

Ignoring the signs on the gate, Logan drove right in.

He knocked on the tightly closed door, and for a long time, no one came to open it. Just as Logan was about to break in, the door was opened by a young man!

Logan, of course, recognized this person, but that was after he had transformed into the blue-furred Beast, so he didn't immediately recognize Hank in his current refined, youthful appearance.

"Who are you? Didn't you see the 'No Trespassing' warning outside the estate?"

Hank poked his head out from behind the door and said to Logan.

Logan frowned slightly: "What happened to this school?"

Hank was also a bit confused: "The school closed down several years ago! Are you a parent of a student?"

"Luckily, I'm not. And who are you?"

"I'm Hank!"

"Hank? You're Beast. It seems you're a late bloomer!"

"I'm here to see the Professor!"

Logan raised an eyebrow, saying this, as he was still unaccustomed to seeing Hank in his normal appearance after getting used to the blue-furred Beast.

Seeing this, he also stated his purpose.

"Sorry, there's no Professor here."

Upon hearing this, Hank immediately refused and was about to close the door.

But Logan was one step ahead, holding the door open.

"Look at that, your slender body has quite a lot of strength. Are you sure you're not hiding a Beast?"

Logan teased, pushing the door open with force and walking inside.
