Midworld descended into Astro from the skies like a massive floating island falling out of another world. Demons rushed out of their homes in panic, running toward whatever military infrastructure was closest to them as the enormous landmass kept dropping lower and lower. It looked like it was going to crash straight into the Forest District and crush everything beneath it into dust.
At the military skyscraper, the Earth Squad rushed out of the building, with Sandra joining them as well. They gathered on a balcony at the very top, the one place that gave them the clearest possible view of the disaster unfolding right in front of their eyes.
A square-shaped opening had been torn into the atmosphere, with Midworld descending through the portal.
They couldn't believe what they were seeing. Their enemies weren't just invading anymore—they were coming straight into their territory with everything they got.
