Chapter 83 - Chapter 83 Opening the Void Rift

The scene shifts, and Noah is already flying over the sea in his armor, intending to find a suitable location to test the riftmaker he just synthesized yesterday.

Noah did not let Lissandra accompany him, even though she strongly insisted on going with Noah, claiming that if there was danger, she could fight alongside him.

However, it was precisely because this matter might be dangerous that Noah did not want Lissandra to come along. Noah was very aware of the dangers of the Void; although Lissandra was a special life form, no one could guarantee that the Void would not affect her.

As for Noah himself, he believed that with the Rune's blessing and his strong escape ability, if any danger appeared, he should be able to run away at the first moment.

Even if he couldn't run away, weren't there still two experience cards? The System shouldn't just watch him die, right?

Of course, although Lissandra's physical body did not come along, her consciousness could be transmitted into Noah's armor, and she was currently navigating for Noah, searching for a suitable island.

"Okay, that one will do."

This area is in the Pacific Ocean, the World's largest ocean and also the one with the most islands, which is why Noah chose it.

As for why he didn't choose the Atlantic Ocean, which is closer to Noah's home? The first reason is proximity; Noah was worried about causing an accident, so it was better to do it far away, preferably in the center of the Pacific Ocean, far from other countries' islands.

The second reason is that there are simply too few islands in the Atlantic Ocean; the entire sea area has only over 800 islands discovered by humans, while the Pacific Ocean has over ten thousand islands.

That's why Noah chose to open the Void Rift here in the Pacific Ocean, and now, he has found a suitable island.

On the vast and boundless ocean, a solitary island stood on the blue sea. Waves crashed against the golden sand, drawing silver edges on the beach. The beautiful scenery was perfect for a vacation, Noah thought.

This island has an area of about 3,000 square kilometers and is uninhabited by humans, only some animals. Located in the center of the Pacific Ocean, the possibility of human habitation is very small, which is why Noah chose this place.

"After we go back, let's buy a small island too and transform it well."

Looking at the island beneath him, Noah suddenly had the idea of buying an island for himself. He could convert it into a vacation resort or even build a research Base on it. Thinking of this, Noah made up his mind to do it; he would do it as soon as he got back!

Noah slowly descended onto the beach, stepping on the soft sand, but he couldn't feel the sea breeze because he was wearing armor. He decided to start the experiment on the beach because, apart from the beach, the rest of the island was dense forest with virtually no open space, so this was the most suitable place.

"Alright, now let's accept the mission first." After walking a few steps on the beach, moving out of the range of the waves, Noah opened the mission panel.

"Void Series B-Rank Mission: First Encounter with the Void (Accepted)"

"Okay, now it's time to try." After accepting the mission, Noah took out the riftmaker from his equipment slot.

The Staff, inlaid with a purple eyeball, began to strangely rotate its eyeball as soon as it appeared in Noah's hand, as if observing this World.

"Whew~ How do I use it?" Noah exhaled a long breath. He was still a bit nervous about what was to come, and he didn't know how to use this Staff.

"Let's try it first."

Gripping the Staff, Noah sensed its power. Beneath the calm beach, the sand began to vibrate, an effect of Noah's powerful magic release. At this moment, Noah mobilized his magic, and the eyeball on the Staff in his hand began to emit a purple light.

"Zzz!"

Noah pointed the Staff forward, and a purple light beam shot out from the eyeball, directly striking the island's ground. For a moment, the entire island trembled slightly, startling the birds and beasts in the forest. Birds began to fly into the sky, flapping their wings in unison, while land animals were also startled by the tremor and began to flee.

When Noah realized that he wasn't using the ability to open the Void Gate and stopped, the light beam had already carved an indelible mark on the island, a crack that ran through the entire island.

Noah could already see the end of the crack, and seawater had begun to pour in. Noah awkwardly scratched his ear, then began to marvel at the Staff's power. The Staff's demonstrated strength was greater than any of the weapons he had previously owned.

However, this might also be the result of Noah's magic greatly increasing; he hadn't used his previous weapons after his magic increased, so he didn't know how those weapons would perform now, but the power of the riftmaker was undeniable.

"It seems this isn't it; let's try again." This was just one of the ways Noah was trying out the Staff's power; clearly, this wasn't the method to open the Void Gate, so Noah could only try other methods.

He once again immersed his consciousness into the Staff, sensing its power. As Noah's consciousness roamed within the Staff, he vaguely seemed to feel something.

"Got it!"

Noah opened his eyes, and magic was released from within his body. The surging magic stirred up dust on the beach, and the distant trees were blown by the air current, their branches and leaves bending backward. Noah poured magic into the Staff, then activated its power.

A strong purple light shone from the Staff in Noah's hand. Noah did not look away because of the strong light; instead, he raised the Staff and fully released its power.

"Buzz!"

A dull sound rang out, and a purple energy light beam shot up into the sky, like a purple pillar connecting heaven and earth. Subsequently, arcs of purple energy were released from the Staff in Noah's hand, spreading outwards.

Giant waves on the sea, stirred up by the sea breeze, were suppressed by the energy arcs coming from the island before they even approached it, instead stirring up a giant wave that moved outwards. The trees on the island were directly broken in half by the impact of the energy. At the top of the light beam, arcs of purple energy also spread out, sweeping away the surrounding clouds.

One after another, energy arcs tore through the earth and sky. Such a huge commotion certainly couldn't be hidden from external forces. Many countries that detected abnormal conditions here quickly mobilized satellites to probe the area, but the satellites seemed to be interfered with by some energy, transmitting only static and crackling sounds.

Heimdall of Asgard observed this scene with his magic eye that could see through the Nine Realms. That purple power inexplicably shocked him, and Odin, still in Odin Sleep, also observed this scene with his own power. But when the power on Noah's side reached its peak, a strange power blocked their prying, leaving both in shock.

And the Ancient One also detected the emergence of that power. The cautious Ancient One first opened a Teleportation portal to the island closest to Noah's location. Looking at the purple light beam soaring into the sky in the distance, and the energy light arcs that spread out, covering the sky and obscuring the sun, the Ancient One frowned.

But the distant light arc was sweeping towards them. This purple energy reminded the Ancient One of certain scenes she had seen in the future, and she recalled the outcome of her contact with this power in some futures. As the energy arc was about to approach the island, the Ancient One waved her hand and entered the Mirror Dimension.

"Hmph!"

At the center of the energy explosion, Noah gripped the Staff, then drew the energy that swept through heaven and earth back into the Staff. Instantly, the light beam and halo rapidly contracted as if time were flowing backward, until all the energy converged into the Staff. Noah then raised the Staff and lightly drew a line in the space in front of him, and a purple-glowing crack appeared before Noah.

"Is this the Void?"

Noah looked at the crack in front of him, and with a point of the Staff, the crack expanded to a size large enough for one person to enter. Noah saw the mission guidance right before him, then resolutely stepped into the crack.
