Chapter 76 - Chapter 76 I want to become a magician!

Since he couldn't take on quests now, Noah decided to finish what he hadn't completed yet.

He had already opened the ten light orbs he summoned, but there was still a bonus treasure chest from the ten-pull that he hadn't opened.

Noah reached out and tapped the treasure chest.

"You obtained 2500 essence."

The White light orb, as always, yielded a large amount of essence.

Noah loved this treasure chest; every time he opened it, he could get essence, allowing him to recover his costs and speed up the next ten-pull.

Besides the White essence light orb, the treasure chest also yielded two blue light orbs.

"It actually yielded three light orbs! The last time I got ten light orbs was, well, the last time." The treasure chest wasn't fixed to only two light orbs; Noah remembered getting three during his second draw, which was purely a matter of luck.

"Random Skin Shard * 1"

"Blue Crystal"

"Shards and equipment." As the last two light orbs dissipated, Noah's summoning for this time ended.

"Let me organize things first."

Taking the items into his hands, Noah prepared to process the summoned items.

Open what needed to be opened, combine what needed to be combined.

"First, let's combine the equipment." Placing the equipment in front of him, Noah pondered the crafting formulas.

Two Needless Large Rods, a Blasting Wand, an Amplification Codex, a Life Well Pendant, a Stopwatch, a Cloth Armor, a Dark Seal, a Blue Crystal, and a Crimson Crystal.

These were all the loose components Noah currently possessed.

The two Large Rods could be combined into the Deathcap; as for the others...

"I still need to test the Cull, I'll try it tonight." Looking at the magic Ring on his finger, Noah decided to go to Hell's Kitchen tonight and test it on some scumbags.

"Emm... Blasting Wand, Amplification Codex, Blue Crystal, and Crimson Crystal, it seems like they can be combined into a Rod of Ages, and a riftmaker also seems possible."

Noah desperately needed a staff right now; what kind of Mage was he without a staff?

Currently, he had two choices: Rod of Ages and riftmaker.

Equipment from the League of Legends World would exhibit different abilities once they arrived in Reality, and Noah didn't know what effects these two staffs would have once crafted.

Noah suddenly had decision paralysis.

The Rod of Ages sounded like it harnessed the power of time, perhaps similar to what he had boasted about to Fury earlier.

As for the riftmaker, this item was a weapon related to the Void.

Noah had previously read a League of Legends story where this item was used by the Icathia during their battle with Ancient Shurima to open the Void Gate.

"I'll choose the riftmaker; I don't know how to enter the Void anyway." Noah made his choice: riftmaker.

"By the way, what's different about crafting Mythic items?"

Every time a riftmaker is crafted, a Big Eye loses an eye.

Noah skillfully placed the scattered components together, just as he had done before, and then the system would forge them into equipment.

However, this time it seemed to have failed.

Noah looked at the motionless equipment in front of him, puzzled.

"Hmm? What happened? Why can't I combine them?" Noah was confused; before, combining equipment was as simple as putting them together, and they would automatically combine.

Noah picked up the Crimson Crystal and Blue Crystal.

These two items should first combine into a Blighted Jewel, and then into the riftmaker.

However, just as Noah picked up the two crystals, the purple gauntlet on his right hand began to emit a purple energy, intertwining with the Crimson Crystal on his right hand.

Seeing this, Noah suddenly understood something.

The crafting of the riftmaker required Void Power, and Kassadin's gauntlet happened to have Void Power on it.

Noah quickly placed the Blue Crystal in his left hand as well.

The red and blue crystals were simultaneously enveloped by Void Power, and their forms began to change.

A purple, irregularly shaped gem appeared in Noah's hand.

"This should work now." Noah placed the Blighted Jewel in his hand between the Blasting Wand and the Amplification Codex.

This time, the three scattered components emitted a familiar glow to Noah, followed by a familiar sound of a hammer striking.

"By the way, is the system locking Ornn in a dark room to forge equipment for me?" Every time he heard this pleasant striking sound, Noah would think of Ornn.

When he summoned Ornn in the future, he would be able to forge equipment himself.

As the striking sound ceased, it indicated that the equipment had been fully combined.

The light slowly dispersed.

After the light faded, the full appearance of the riftmaker was revealed.

Upon first seeing this staff, what most captivated Noah's gaze was the purple eye at the top of the staff.

Noah felt as if it was an eyeball gouged from a Big Eye and embedded there, surrounded by a golden structure.

The staff itself was purplish-black, and its material resembled the shell of some Void Creature.

"Buzz ~ Buzz ~"

After the riftmaker appeared in the World, Noah hadn't even had time to pick it up when rings of purple energy arcs spread out from the staff.

Noah raised his hand to block the incoming energy rings, then felt the ground seemed to be shaking.

'It wouldn't directly open a Void Rift on Earth, would it?'

With that thought, Noah quickly raised his hand, the purple gauntlet flashed with light, and Noah activated Void Walk to arrive next to the riftmaker, reaching out and grasping it.

Fortunately, after Noah gripped the staff, the riftmaker stopped releasing energy arcs, and the ground stopped shaking.

"Lissandra, was there anything happening outside just now?" After stopping the staff, Noah quickly asked Lissandra; he was worried that a rift had already opened.

"Noah, a small earthquake of approximately magnitude 4 occurred within a one-kilometer radius centered on the manor."

Good heavens, you're not a riftmaker, you're an earthquake maker, aren't you?

After hearing Lissandra's words, Noah continued to ask, "Are there any strange rifts appearing around, the kind that glow purple?"

"The situation Noah described did not occur," Lissandra replied.

"That's good." Noah breathed a sigh of relief; he wasn't ready yet, he didn't want a Void instance to open around his house.

After understanding the surrounding situation, Noah looked at the staff in his hand, a large eye staring back at him.

Noah felt the staff's power and found it similar to the energy in Kassadin's gauntlet, which should be Void Power.

However, Noah suddenly realized something: Void Power seemed to have no effect on him?

Whether it was the gauntlet or the riftmaker, when Noah used them, or even came into contact with their Void Power, he felt no ill effects.

In the background lore, even powerful God-Warriors had their minds corrupted by Void Power after the war, turning into Darkin.

"Perhaps it's because this is a system-produced item?" Noah couldn't figure it out, or perhaps it was because of the runes on his body.

But whatever the reason, he knew that before fully mastering Void Power, he had to be cautious to prevent this power from harming Lissandra and Gwen.

"Okay, next up is the hat."

He'd put off testing the staff's power for now; Noah was going to combine the next piece of equipment.

After placing the two purple magic Rods together, the same scene as when he had just crafted the riftmaker reappeared: light and the sound of a hammer striking.

Once the light dispersed again, a purple wizard's Magic Hat appeared before Noah.

The hat's material was smooth, as if made from some high-grade silk.

Most notably, the hat had a large mouth split open on its top, emitting a blue magical glow from within.

Noah's eyes lit up; he thought the Deathcap's appearance in the Reality World was quite good-looking, and he rather liked it.

Noah reached out to pick up the hat, intending to try it on.

Something unexpected happened; just as Noah was about to touch the hat, the Deathcap actually moved backward slightly.

"Hmm?"

Noah blinked.

Was he seeing things just now? Did the hat move?

No, how could he be seeing things?

Noah tried to touch the purple hat again.

This time, the hat's movements were even more intense; it flew directly into the air, its mouth on top constantly opening and closing, as if laughing loudly.

"This hat actually has its own consciousness?!" Noah looked at the Magic Hat flying and circling in the air, a little surprised.

At this moment, he suddenly thought of Doctor Strange's cloak.

It seemed the Deathcap was also like the magic Cloak, possessing its own consciousness.

How should he deal with this situation?

Noah also wanted to know the answer to this question, so Noah tried to call down the somewhat restless hat.

"Deathcap, come down quickly and let me wear you, Deathcap? Hat?" Noah called out to the hat in the air, but he felt a bit embarrassed, and the hat remained indifferent, still spinning in the air.

"I'll just have to use force." With his calls proving fruitless, Noah decided to get rough.

Noah used his magic, attempting to directly pull the hat down from above.

When his magic made contact with the Deathcap, the restless Deathcap suddenly paused, and then the large mouth on the hat constantly opened and closed, devouring Noah's magic.

"Hmm? It likes to eat magic?" Seeing this, Noah instantly had an idea.

Noah increased his magic output, condensing his magic into a hand.

The glowing hand in the air beckoned to the Deathcap, then flew towards Noah's direction.

The hat swayed, then opened its large mouth and bit towards the hand.

Under Noah's control, the hand's speed was slightly slower than the Deathcap's, and it was eventually caught by the Deathcap, bitten squarely, while Noah's hand also grabbed the Deathcap that had flown in front of him.

"Got you, little hat."
