Noah looked at the scene in the box below; the visuals were a bit graphic, with many corpses coming into view. Some were smashed beyond recognition by brute force, others were embedded in the walls, and oh, the one under the trash can with tomato juice flowing out, that must be one too.
Noah scanned the area, recognizing these as the small monsters he fought daily, and understood that these were the most likely people to make Banner transform into Hulk.
"Oh, don't worry, big guy, I'm not here to cause trouble." Seeing Hulk's angry face, Noah raised both hands in front of him.
"Roar!"
Hulk couldn't listen to anyone else. He stomped down, shattering the floor beneath his feet, and charged towards Noah like a cannonball.
With his massive body and terrifying speed, Hulk's Impact could easily smash a heavy tank. But Noah had already predicted Hulk's move just before he made it. Looking at the charging green behemoth, Noah quickly moved sideways in the air, dodging Hulk. At the same time, he delivered a whip kick, striking Hulk's side chest fiercely.
Hulk was heavily struck in mid-air, sent flying horizontally by the immense force, smashing through the alley wall and embedding his huge body into the building.
"Ah!"
This place happened to be the Nuclear Contamination Gang's stronghold, and the smashed-in Hulk was now crushing several thugs.
"Roar!"
Recognizing the annoying uniforms, Hulk swung his palms, sending several people flying around him. Then, he angrily stood up, roared at Noah, and charged again.
"Hulk smash!!"
Hulk leaped again, and from the shattered ground beneath him, it was clear that this attack was stronger and more ferocious. Hulk's green muscles bulged, constantly rippling, as he threw a heavy punch at Noah in the air. This punch created a whistling sound, demonstrating its power.
Noah had to take this terrifying blow seriously, but he first put a shield on Betty below, lest she be shaken to death by the Impact.
With the Iron Man Suit's power boosted, Noah gathered all his strength, even mobilizing his magic, and dove towards Hulk, making the same motion as Hulk, throwing a punch downwards.
Two figures, one large and one small, closed in on each other above the alley. The moment they collided, time seemed to stand still, and then a powerful Impact erupted outwards from their collision point, shattering the glass of surrounding buildings and creating cracks in their walls. The strong winds stirred up by the air blast swept up debris from the ground, sending it flying everywhere.
Betty, who was directly below the two, quickly raised her hands, trying to block the Impact caused by the two. However, she suddenly realized that she didn't seem to be affected. She opened her eyes and found a faint shield enveloping her, blocking the Impact and the flying debris.
In the collision above, Noah's strength was superior at this moment. His strength combined with the Iron Man Suit and then with magic was no joke. Hulk was sent flying back the same way he came, crashing into the building again.
"Boom!"
"Bang!"
His massive body smashed through many walls and pillars. Hulk struggled to get up from a pile of building debris. The pain didn't make him retreat; instead, it ignited even greater fury. Just as Hulk was about to get up and attack again, six metal objects flew in from outside, landing directly around Hulk and instantly transforming into devices resembling Tesla coils.
Is this from Red Alert?
"Hmm?"
As Hulk was wondering, the six metal devices, which had formed a hexagon around Hulk, emitted yellow electrical currents that shot towards Hulk's massive body.
"Ah! Roar!"
Caught off guard by the electric current, Hulk couldn't help but roar. A large amount of electricity enveloped Hulk, making him look like an electric porcupine. Hulk struggled in the current, trying to move towards the devices to smash these hateful things, but the continuous current output on Hulk made his movement very difficult and kept him in pain.
However, Hulk, under the continuous electrical output, did not back down. Amidst his constant roars, his muscles seemed to grow even larger, and his movements became smoother.
Just then, another powerful electric current shot in from outside, joining the electrotherapy session.
"Hulk, you'd better calm down first. I don't want to fight you in this city."
Noah held the Electrocution Blade, continuously increasing his magic output to make the Electrocution Blade release an even stronger current.
"Ah!!"
With such a powerful current, the surrounding building fragments and various pieces of furniture gradually melted under the high temperature. Hulk, under the strong suppression, was unable to instantly break through this power with his anger.
"Please stop, Swift Wind Swordsman, I beg you, Banner is a good person."
Just then, a voice came from behind. Betty walked in through the broken wall opening and, seeing this scene, anxiously began to plead for Hulk.
Hulk seemed to hear Betty's voice. His body, suppressed by the electric current, struggled slightly, and his head slowly lifted, looking at Betty.
Seeing this, Noah's eyebrows inside his faceplate twitched: 'As expected of Banner's original girlfriend, the effect seems very powerful.'
Just hearing Betty's voice, Hulk reacted. This effect made Noah decide to stop first and let Betty try. If it didn't work, he would knock Hulk out.
The Electrocution Blade in Noah's hand stopped releasing electricity, and the six devices also stopped operating. Noah waved his hand, and several miniature missiles shot towards Hulk's position, then exploded, producing a White mist that carried away the high temperature generated by the electric shock, otherwise Betty wouldn't be able to get close.
These missiles were the Water bombs Noah had brought from Talokan before, modified. They could Project Water streams as before, or be adjusted within the Iron Man Suit to emit cold mist to freeze enemies.
"Thank you." Betty thanked Noah and walked towards the slowly rising Hulk.
"Banner, it's alright now. It's safe here." Betty cautiously walked forward, reaching Hulk's face and gently stroking it.
Although Betty had been accidentally injured by Hulk before, she knew that it wasn't his true intention. Moreover, Betty didn't think Hulk was a monster as Banner said; she believed this was Banner, because Hulk recognized her.
Noah, standing by, also opened his fingers and released Resurrection Wind. A gentle wind blew over Hulk and Betty.
"Hulk." Hulk looked at the small person in front of him, feeling a familiar and intimate sensation. A gentle breeze swept over Hulk's body, slowly healing his previous injuries. Hulk's infinitely angry heart slowly calmed down at this moment.
"Betty." After Hulk covered Betty's hand on his face, his green skin gradually receded, and his body gradually shrank.
"Banner, you've finally recovered." Betty joyfully embraced Banner.
"Uh, I'm sorry, Betty, I made you worry again." Banner looked at himself, now only wearing elastic shorts, feeling a bit helpless. He had always been powerless about Hulk's appearances, but this time he didn't regret it. If he hadn't transformed into Hulk then, he wouldn't have been able to protect Betty.
"The big green guy turned into a human, how rare." A voice interrupted their warm moment. The two embracing instantly realized there was still someone else there.
Banner stood up, instinctively protecting Betty behind him. He looked at the person in front of him wearing a high-tech Iron Man Suit. With Banner's knowledge, he perceived that the technological level hidden beneath this Iron Man Suit was extremely advanced. However, Banner had been on the run for years, and when he was in Brazil, he had only heard that a superhero wearing an Iron Man Suit had appeared in New York, supposedly that genius Stark.
Banner had seen Iron Man on TV, but he didn't look like this, so he was a bit nervous now, unsure of the person's identity.
"Banner, don't be nervous. Calm down first. I think Mr. Swift Wind Swordsman probably won't make things difficult for us, right?" Betty patted Banner's back to lower his suddenly elevated heart rate, then looked at Noah and asked. Actually, she wasn't too sure either, as the other party's identity wasn't as public and transparent as Iron Man's, and Betty couldn't quite figure out what the other party wanted to do.
"That's hard to say, look." Noah spread his hands, indicating the surroundings. "This gentleman killed so many people and caused so much destruction."
Hearing Noah's words, both of them tensed up.
"However... I won't cause you trouble because of these." Noah's next sentence relaxed their tense nerves. This rollercoaster-like feeling made Banner very uncomfortable.
"These guys, I can only say, you smashed them well." After scanning, Noah learned the gang's name, which suddenly reminded him of certain things from his previous life, making him feel that they were lucky to have encountered Hulk.
Of course, Noah also scanned some stragglers who had hidden away, so he raised his Electrocution Blade and released several electric currents, producing a dozen freshly baked charred fish.
Banner and Betty were startled, then heard Noah say, "Let's go, Mr. Banner, Miss General Ross."
"How do you know our names?" Banner couldn't help but ask after hearing Noah call out their names.
"I came here to find you. Oh, don't be nervous, I'm not with Miss General Ross's father." After Noah said it, he saw their expressions change and knew they might have misunderstood.
"I think you two should leave now. Do you have something to do in the Upper City?" Noah asked the two.
Banner and Betty exchanged glances, deciding to see how things unfolded first.
"I came here to solve the monster inside me." Banner said, carefully watching Noah's movements. If the other party was here because of Hulk, then hearing his words, they might try to stop him.
However, to Banner's surprise, there was no action, but rather a nod.
"Hmm, I see." Noah nodded, then pulled out a business card with the number he had Lissandra register specifically: "After your business is done, if you have nowhere to go, you can contact me. I really need talent like Dr. Banner here. And, it's very safe here with me; you don't have to worry about Miss General Ross's father."
After speaking, Noah left, walking out along the path Banner and Betty had entered.
The two on the scene looked at each other. Banner looked at the business card in his hand, put it away, then found a few wearable clothes in the ruins and, with Betty, headed to their original destination.
Noah had just walked out of the dark alley and onto the main street. By this time, he had already taken off his Iron Man Suit. However, as Noah exited the alley, several Police officers approached him. They had received a public alarm about a loud noise here, which was why they came to investigate.
Noah looked at the Police officers, felt in his pocket, pulled out something, and held it in front of him: "FBI, I've already handled the situation inside, you don't need to worry about it."
What Noah pulled out were the credentials Coulson had given him last time. The Police officers looked at the credentials in front of them, confirmed they were genuine, and then left, as they didn't want to get involved in any trouble.
"Quite useful." Noah put away his credentials. He came here because Lissandra had just seen their movements from the surveillance. After all, when they were in that motel, they had discarded all their electronic devices except for the heart rate monitor, which was why they were discovered when they approached New York, as there were quite a few cameras here.
As for why Noah gave Banner a business card, it was inspired by Tony's remark during a chat that he wanted to invite Banner to Stark Industries.
Noah currently had quite a lot of things to research and develop: Project, Hextech, Hextech Legion, magic equipment, time power, and various Whimsy from the big head's mind. With so many different things, if it was just him and Lissandra as researchers, they would be incredibly busy.
So Noah also had the idea of recruiting Dr. Banner. Banner was a genius with deep research attainments in physics. If he joined, Noah's research difficulty would be eased.
Moreover, Noah felt that recruiting Banner wouldn't be too difficult. As long as he dealt with those chasing him, and then showed him the research content he was interested in, he should be able to get Banner easily. And Noah had decided to ensure that Banner and Betty's fate would not be broken this time. That should be good enough, right?
Noah didn't choose to leave immediately. Instead, he found a coffee shop across the street from Grayburn College, ordered a coffee, and sat waiting for the show to begin. He had a mission to complete, after all.
[B-rank Mission: Hulk and Abomination! (Defeat/Kill) (Completed 1/2)]
"Did that just count as defeating Hulk?"
