Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 01

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Whoever coined that phrase never tasted the sting of betrayal.

Keeping enemies close might sharpen your defenses, but it's futile when the real threat dines at your table.

Sometimes, the ones you love sink the dagger deepest into your heart.

"Jae-min, here—take this black card."

The voice belonged to Kim Tae-hyun, late twenties, draped in a tailored suit that hugged his broad shoulders.

His clean jawline and the glint of a Rolex screamed arrogance disguised as charm.

"I'm counting on you to take care of our mother and your sister-in-law while I'm away. You're the man of the house now. Haha, don't screw it up, alright?"

Jae-min stood frozen at the doorway, gym bag clutched in one hand, his eyes locked on his older brother with an unreadable storm brewing beneath.

Something inside him coiled tight, refusing to unleash just yet, like a predator biding its time.

'Didn't I just jump from that fucking building? Then why the hell am I alive? Am I hallucinating? And why does this bastard look so damn young?'

Kim Jae-min had been a pathetic shadow of a man, forever eclipsed by his brother Tae-hyun.

Despite everyone warning him he was just the family's errand boy, he'd blindly supported his elder brother with every fiber of his being.

Maybe it was the guilt gnawing at him toward his stepmother...his biological mother had been the homewrecker who slept with a married man, got knocked up, and died right after spitting him out.

Not long after, his father Tae-joon dragged him into the household, where he became the eternal thorn in his stepmother Park Soo-jin's eyes.

He'd wasted his life groveling for acceptance, sacrificing opportunities left and right, only to be stabbed in the back by the brother he idolized, driving him to that final, desperate leap off the edge.

Now, facing the same smug prick, Jae-min's fists clenched involuntarily, nails biting into his palms until he drew blood...

'This can't be real… Am I back in time?'

He blinked hard against the disorientation, the stale air thick with forgotten regrets, the familiar brown patch staining the ceiling like a scar, the sticky warmth of summer sweat trickling down his back.

It was all here, mocking him.

His gaze dropped to the black credit card extended between those manicured fingers—a "generous" handout laced with condescension. Memories flooded back, bitter and crimson, like blood swirling in murky water.

"You're quiet... Come on, don't go all sentimental on me. Just take it and keep things running while I'm away. I trust you, little bro."

"Leave everything to me."

In truth, Jae-min burned to slam his fist into this motherfucker's gut, shatter that smirking jaw into oblivion, and watch him bleed.

But this Jae-min--hurled fifteen years back to when he was a naive eighteen-year-old--was no longer that wide-eyed fool.

Now, he understood the art of patience... and revenge.

Behind him, soft slippers padded over the floor.

"Oppa, Jae-min is a kind boy. I know he'll take good care of us. You go without worry."

From behind came a sultry, honey-dipped voice that wrapped around him like silk and squeezed, sending a forbidden shiver down his spine.

Only now did he recall: 2019 was the year his brother married this stunning woman.

Unfortunately...no, fortunately, his brother couldn't enjoy a proper honeymoon, as his company urgently transferred him to a location outside Seoul for six months.

In his previous life, this hadn't significantly affected their marriage...

"Good morning, Noona."

"Good morning, Jae-min. Tae-hyun, look—your brother is so sweet."

Tae-hyun chuckled dismissively and flicked the black card his way.

"Take care baby, I'm heading out. Plane's in three hours. And YOU be good, okay?"

With that, Tae-hyun spun on his heel and vanished, abandoning his wife to the wolf in sheep's clothing.

The door clicked shut like a starting gun, and Jae-min's predatory gaze finally devoured his sister-in-law, the epitome of lust.

"Don't push yourself too hard...Call me if you ever feel overwhelmed. Noona will help you out... in any way you need."

"It's easy."

Min-seo was stunningly gorgeous, her green eyes always sparkling with warmth that pulled you in.

Her chestnut hair, tossed into a messy side bun, spilled over one shoulder, framing her soft, oval face that looked almost doll-like, her creamy skin glowing in the morning light.

She wore a thin white tank top, its low neckline barely holding her heaving breasts, the fabric hugging every curve, her nipples faintly visible with every breath, daring his eyes to stay glued to the sight.

Pale-pink pajama shorts clung to her thick thighs and curvy hips, inching up with every step to show off her perfect ass, each sway a tease that screamed desire.

The sweet scent of vanilla drifted from her warm skin, a pull that made his pulse race, begging him to get closer.

In his previous life, he had always respected all the boundaries, considering she was his sister-in-law, but...

He had seen Min-seo's true colors, how she had turned cold once Tae-hyun's success secured their wealth, how they'd both discarded him once they got their hands on the family's property.

"Jae-min, I'll go make lunch for us."

"Alright..."

"Wait, Noona—do you need any help?"

"You're such a good boy, Jae-min. Just rest well; you must be tired from the gym."

Tch. You called me a good boy?

He knew what awaited him if he played the good boy again.

Jae-min couldn't help but stare at those massive, swaying ass cheeks clinging to her pajama shorts, the fabric riding up just enough to fuel his darkening thoughts.

Soon, he would plunge his cock deep inside that very ass, claiming what his brother had left behind...

"You've got no idea what I'm about to do, brother."

But for now ...Jae-min had plenty to do to make this second chance worthwhile, one thing was clear: he would make his brother's life a living hell.

Even though he knew taking his revenge on the women was cowardly and wrong, he would not stop now, not after his own girlfriend had fucked his brother in his previous life.
