~~~ [START]
The woman who was seated in front of him didn't seem surprised in the slightest. This was Kamino Ward, a place that a variety of villains called home. It wouldn't be surprising to see a 10-year-old child looking for an illegal underground fighting competition. Here, age meant nothing. All that mattered was power, and if the child in front of her proved to be powerful, she could not stop him.
She was silent for a while, as she did nothing but keep her eyes fixed on his. And as if mimicking her action, his dark red eyes did the same.
They were beautiful, his dark red orbs, and for a second, she couldn't help but believe she saw them glow.
She had never seen anything like them before; they made her cautious.
Who knew what the child in front of her was capable of?
At first, she wanted to turn him back; she wanted to question him, but a realization made her hesitant. The child had already entered, which only meant that 'Iron Wall' had let him in. No ordinary person entered the Gauntlet.
So, she moved her hand and flicked a finger when, out of nowhere, white paper formed from nothing, bedding into existence and appearing in the air, then falling to the table.
Her silence persisted, and her eyes looked at Ken once again.
He moved towards where she sat, picked up the page, took the pen that was lying on the table, and signed the paper in that instant. He didn't even read it; he didn't need to.
After he was done, she stood up, took the paper from his hands, and began walking to the door Ken used to enter. He followed.
As they walked, the atmosphere changed. It was quiet once, but now Ken could hear the voices of hundreds. And the more they walked, the louder the voices got.
It was a tunnel, the place they were walking. And after what seemed to be minutes, they had arrived.
It was packed, an underground stadium that had hundreds of seats surrounding its center.
And at its heart, four fighting arenas appeared, each resembling the famous Nippon Budokan.
On its edges, people of different ages sat watching, their voices not held back, as they screamed at the ongoing match.
And as Ken looked at the arena being used, his heart skipped a beat, as a headless man lay there, and right next to him was the person who had taken his life.
But even then, even when the crowd shouted to celebrate his accomplishment, he didn't seem happy in the slightest. His eyes just looked hollow, lost.
This was until some people who wore red uniforms walked right toward him, held his figure by the arms, and led him away.
The woman, the one who was leading Ken, walked into one arena and called for Ken to follow.
Silence overtook everything when he did.
Even though Ken was wearing a mask, his height was only 4 feet (1.32 - 1.42 meters) tall.
They could immediately tell that he was a child. He was barefoot, and the dirt from his white oversized hospital clothing made those who watched feel wary. They weren't 'good' people, but they didn't consider themselves animals. How could they allow such a show of cruelty?
So, complaints started moving in whispers, and it didn't take long for most of them to start shouting in protest, feeling as if what they were being shown was too unjust.
But this was the underworld. The Gauntlet. It did not care what they thought. It did not give a shit how they felt. Power was law, so the fight would continue.
She walked forward as Ken followed, handing the page he had signed to the commentator. Then walked away, leaving him in the middle of the fighting circle.
The commentator walked towards him.
"What should we call you?" he asked, clearly unbothered by Ken's younger features. Ken looked startled for a second, clearly taken aback by the question. The commentator saw how he reacted, and he sighed in annoyance. "Your quirk?" he asked again. "What's your quirk?"
"I can summon crows," Ken didn't hesitate.
And disappointment flashed through the commentator's eyes as he heard Ken speak, as though fully accepting that the kid in front of him was already dead.
He sighed loudly and moved to the middle.
"Look at this," he began speaking through the mic. "We have a fighter," and the crowd, seeing Ken, released noises of disbelief. "A 10-year-old child has developed balls," he continued. "He thinks he can take our fighters," his voice spoke louder. "He thinks they are weak!"
And the crowd, as if noticing his way of speech, began chanting with his words.
"What do we say?!" the commentator asked in a loud voice.
"DEATH!" the crowd replied.
"The outside world has forgotten the dangers of our existence," the commentator continued. "What do we say?!" he asked again.
"DEATH!" they replied in a chant.
"So I give you…!" the commentator stretched his words in a frenzy, "I give you DEATHHHH-BRINGERRRR!"
And the crowd went crazy. In that instant, they had all forgotten that Ken was only 10 years old. Some of them had already made their bets, while others were smoking and having the time of their lives.
Then, as if in unison with the commentator's words, a 7-foot-tall monster of a human walked in. He was naked, and the only thing that covered his body was a single sheet of cloth that was tied around his privates.
He had the body of a sumo wrestler, probably the embodiment of the biggest sumo wrestler Ken had ever seen.
And with each of his steps, the very ground slightly shook. It was unreal, the power that each of his feet possessed.
He walked onto the stage and squatted on all fours just like a sumo would.
"Haii!" was the only sentence he spoke. A single word.
"And fighting him," the commentator got eager, "an outsider, a castaway from the heavens," he continued, voice rising louder, "cast away from divinity to live his entire life as a mortal... The reincarnation... the All-Father... ODINNNNN!"
And the crowd, too taken by the moment, went crazy. Ken's age was now completely forgotten, with only death standing true.
This was Kamino Ward, a place where power was law.
Even heroes feared going there. Which hero would dare enter a territory that even villains feared, a territory of monsters?
Who would dare invade?
All Might? Never.
He had tried doing that two months ago, and he got injured by All For One in the process.
This was simply a different world. A different dimension.
World of the Fallen.
World of sin.
Ken immediately jumped into a fighting stance. His eyes looked forward, his attention never split.
And when the commentator moved in between them, he quietly activated his technique.
Unseen by anyone, he summoned five baby crows and commanded them to stay put at every corner of the arena. They sat high in the sky, far too high for anyone to see.
"Shear," he whispered, and his vision split into six different sights, all looking at the battlefield from a different point of view.
With this, he had gained five extra sets of eyes. A full 360-degree view.
He could see everything, all hidden, all openings, all in sight.
But he knew he couldn't win. He wasn't stupid.
Deathbringer was just simply too high above his weight class for Ken to win.
So, to attain success, he could only think of doing one thing.
Cheat.
