Chapter 2 - The Trial of Three Doors

Chapter 2 – The Trial of Three Doors

The moment they stepped inside the tunnel, a shiver ran through their bodies. Moisture clung to the walls, droplets of water dripping down, while the torchlight carved eerie shadows across the stones. The air was so cold, it felt like invisible fingers brushing against their necks.

"This place feels… haunted," Meera whispered, trembling.

Kabir immediately added, "If a ghost 👻 shows up, I'll be the first one to run."

Everyone laughed 😅, but even in that laughter, fear was hiding.

After walking a little further, the path suddenly split into three.

In front of them stood three

all stone doors 🚪—

1.🚪

The left door was marked with the symbol of waves 🌊.

2.🚪

The middle bore the sign of a locked🔒 padlock.

3. 🚪

The right displayed a carved serpent.

Sia raised her torch and examined them closely.

"The map 🗺️ said— 'Only one

path will lead to freedom.' That means two of these doors 🚪 are traps."

Arjun carefully felt the carvings on the stone walls 🧱. Faint, ancient words were etched there, barely readable. He muttered softly—

"Water 🌊flows, locks remain shut, poison hisses…

So which one is real?"

Suddenly, the sound of water echoed from behind.

The tunnel floor was filling with water, already reaching their shoes.

Meera screamed, "The water is rising! We have to hurry!"

Aman growled, "Let's try the left door!"

He pushed with all his strength. The door groaned open.

Darkness awaited inside—and the roaring sound of rushing water.

Arjun shouted, "Wait! That leads to the canal… if we go in, we'll be swept away!"

Just then, a strong gush of water surged past their feet.

From the right door, the hiss of serpents echoed—

the tunnel's deadly game had begun.
