Though he had asked for Alastair's protection, this felt more like he was being confined in his manor. He wasn't allowed to go out, and a whole unit of Alastair's men were assigned to guard the manor. The security level of this manor was indeed not on par with their main house, but that didn't mean Ellis was left alone in the manor. It was still a well-guarded place, but now it was crowded with guards everywhere.
Ellis had been waiting for a while for Mila to wake up, but she hadn't even now. At least her expression was relaxed; she didn't seem to be in pain, just in a deep slumber.
