Ellis already knew that a devil would never give up this easily. Just as Alastair grabbed the jewelry box, Ellis turned to the side and hid it in his arms, hugging it tightly.
"This is something really important, Your Grace... I can't let you see it."
In a hurry, Ellis couldn't find a good excuse; he pretty much spoke the truth.
"No one can see it..."
Ellis muttered in a low voice. He really couldn't let Alastair see what was inside the jewelry box. That was all that was on his mind, that he absolutely couldn't be caught lying. Alastair appeared a little irritated and stared at him with a deep stare as Ellis clung onto the box with all of his limbs securely.
"....."
"I'm going to stay like this until you leave."
He declared, sounding a little weak. He could almost feel like Alastair could shoot lasers through his eyes and he was getting burned from them.
"If I can't have it, then you're also not going to have it."
