Chapter 4 - CHAPTER FOUR ARRIVAL AT LUMINARIA CAPITAL

Chapter Four — Arrival at Luminaria Capital

Luna Nightshade led Kyle, Ashley, and Riely through the vast, richly adorned roads of Luminaria Capital on horseback. The streets were lined with crystalline towers and vibrant marketplaces, shimmering with the light of countless magical lanterns.

"Welcome to the capital of Luminaria City," Luna said with a smile. "I hope you enjoy your time here."

As they passed, citizens spotted the young queen and cheered.

"It's the Queen!" they hailed.

Kyle glanced around, impressed.

"Seems like your people love you."

"Of course they do," Commander Niva said. "After her father lost the ability to walk, Queen Luna took charge, chased the resistance, and funded the realm with all her might. Showing her respect is the least one can do."

Luna Nightshade turned to the group.

"You seem more interested in exploring than returning to your home world."

Kyle shrugged.

"Of course. Our school was attacked by unknown forces. Officially… on Earth, we are dead."

Luna frowned slightly.

"That's unfortunate. Perhaps you could return to the center of the realms—Aethoria. They will announce a new King of Creation soon."

Kyle smirked.

"Well… you're looking at him."

Ashley glanced at him skeptically.

"You don't know that. Besides, why teleport us to another realm instead of the center?"

Kyle shrugged again.

"Maybe he wanted to keep us safe… for known reasons."

Three months had passed since the school incident.

Paul Kirman Stark sat quietly in the castle garden, enjoying a rare moment of peace.

"My king, what are you doing out here alone?" Ezra TGA asked, appearing beside him.

"Just thought I'd get some fresh air… clear my mind," Paul replied, his expression distant.

Ezra's gaze was sharp.

"But something seems to be bothering you, my king."

"I lost a lot of friends that day… when they attacked. If only I had the power to save them," Paul admitted.

Ezra placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"I know every life is precious, but not everyone is meant to live forever."

Paul's eyes narrowed.

"You have a mission for me, right?"

"Yes. A few of the Elyndor nobles have kidnapped people for experiments. I want you to end the project… and kill them if necessary," Ezra replied.

Paul's hands clenched.

"That won't be a problem," he said calmly.

Ezra's tone shifted to caution.

"Be careful, my king. If you come across a man named Duke Austin… flee immediately. He is dangerous, I guarantee it."

With a snap of his hands, Paul opened a shimmering space-time portal.

Three months had passed, Paul thought. I finally get to see another realm.

Paul soared through the skies, approaching the Elyndor kingdom. From above, the suffering below was visible wagons blocked the border, towns seemed abandoned, and citizens were in distress.

"Looks like the wagons haven't reached the border yet… oh, there it is," Paul murmured.

He raised his hands, forming a bow made of fire.

"I don't want to hurt the victims… maybe I need to land and confront them myself," he thought.

Ezra's voice echoed in his mind.

"Or you could follow them to their base and find out what's really going on."

"Good suggestion," Paul replied.

Suddenly, a scream echoed from below.

"Something's happening there!" Paul exclaimed.

Ezra's voice returned, calm but firm.

"My king, focus on the mission at hand."

Another scream rang out, desperate and terrified.

"I don't want to die! Someone, please help me!" a girl cried.

Paul's eyes hardened as he prepared to descend toward the chaos below.
