Chapter 1 - Prologue

A little boy, born into a poor family with little to no martial cultivation strength, soon found himself and his family feeling like ants within the vast continent of the cultivation world. One day, he and his family, as well as the village where he lived, were harassed and stepped upon by other powerful cultivators, who even killed his best friend. So, he looked up to the stars, kneeling down and prayed, "If there is an eternal God that made all things, even cultivators and greater than all cultivators, being and all universe and reality, then I want to serve Him and I want to become even stronger to defend those that are close to me." He bit his lips and remembered that no martial cultivators accepted him as their student because his talents were too dull and his cosmic energy was just too low. A martial cultivator once told him his talents and energy were worse than those of a pig.

He sighed to himself, rose up, and carried the dead body of his best friend to the cave that was used by the villagers to burn the dead. He bowed down slightly and said, "If You, eternal God, will hear and care not about how useless I am, can You please save my friend? And I will dedicate my life to serving You." For he knew everything must have been created by an eternal being, great and far too great to comprehend. He said this weeping silently. The villagers were also all in tears, like hopeless lambs in the midst of lions.

As he was praying and walking to the cave, an extremely white, burning fire descended upon a mountain to their north. The fire was 10 km tall and 62 km wide, and the whole village was amazed by its purity and whiteness. They all bowed to the fire, knowing it was otherworldly because it was alive. This fire wasn't just fire; it resembled a great, burning light or rather called plasma. A man appeared in the fire with hair and head as white as snow and eyes like the sun emitting light in its full strength, body like the color of sea green, arms and feet like the color of brass burned in a furnace, and under his feet were blue crystals like the sky. The villagers felt the heat but weren't harmed; instead, they felt comforted.

Then, the boy heard a voice from his arms whispering softly, "Put me down." He thought he had heard a ghost speak. He bowed down and saw his best friend, who was now lying on his lap, with opened eyes. The other villagers also saw their family members who were dead and already cast into the cave to be burnt coming out of the cave, confused.

The boy looked up to the mountain with a large smile cracking on his face and said, "I will be Your servant and Your student, Eternal God. So, teach me how to be strong and follow You closely. Though I be useless unto You, so just make me a slave." And the rest of the villagers also said unto the man, "Please make us your servants and slaves." Little did they know that this encounter would change them forever.
