"Before the opening of Sun Moon Lake, the three major families jointly hold a competition," Ava explained as she flipped through the pages of a book on the desk.
"Each family gets 2 slots and the contestants are the best of the younger generations from each family. Whoever wins first place secures an extra spot."
Ethan listened intently, absorbing the information while observing the calm precision with which Ava continued.
"So how are the other three places won?" Ethan asked, his interest piqued.
Ava's eyes brightened as she looked up. "There is a competition arena in the city center. Each of the three families appoints an elder who has reached the Tribulation Transcendence realm."
She paused, then continued, "During the contest, the Elders suppresses their cultivation level, lowering it to match that of the challenger. The challenger must hold their ground until the half of the incense held by the elder burns out"
