Chapter 1 - My First Love

Chapter 1: My First Love

Falling in love wasn't a decision or a mistake for me; it was a realization that blossomed into something beautiful. True love is built on trust and understanding, and I was fortunate enough to experience it early on.

My name is Anne, and I'm a girl with a heart full of love and a spirit that's both stubborn and gentle. I live with my parents in a cozy two-bedroom flat. It was here, at the tender age of 10, that I discovered my affection for someone special.

His name is Michael, but everyone calls him Mike. He's the charming prince of my dreams – tall, handsome, and fair-skinned. Mike is a hardworking young man who, despite his good nature, often gives his single mother a run for her money. One of his hidden talents is cooking; he's incredibly skilled in the kitchen. As a young girl with a vivid imagination, I often wondered what it would be like to have him by my side.

At the time, I was preparing for my class 6 examinations, staying late at school for extra lessons. My daily routine was filled with hope – hope to catch a glimpse of Mike when he visited his mother's friend who lived opposite our flat. I knew Mike through my neighbor, and although we attended different schools, my admiration for him never faded. The only times I got to see him were during his school holidays.

As I walked home from school, my heart raced with anticipation. I couldn't wait to catch a glimpse of Mike, the charming prince who had captured my heart since I was 10 years old. His tall, handsome figure and fair complexion always left me starry-eyed. Although we attended different schools, my admiration for him never faded.

As I approached my two-bedroom flat, I noticed the door was locked. I knocked several times, but there was no response. I knew my sister Chizzy was home, preparing dinner, so I found it odd that she wouldn't open the door. I went to my mom's food stall and was told that Chizzy was indeed at home cooking. I returned home, and that's when I saw Mike standing outside, looking dashing as ever.

"Hey, can you tell your sister to open the door?" Mike asked, his voice deep and smooth.

I felt a flutter in my chest as I walked to the kitchen window at the backyard. "Chizzy, why is the door locked?" I asked, noticing she was busy cooking.

She turned to me with a hint of a smile. "It's a long story, Anne. Just come in, and I'll tell you later."

As I entered the house, Chizzy greeted me with a mix of warmth and secrecy. "Hey, sis, come in. I'll tell you about the door in a minute," she said, her eyes sparkling with intrigue.

I took a seat next to her in the kitchen, my curiosity piqued. "What's going on, Chizzy? Why did you lock the door?" I asked, trying to keep my voice low so Mike wouldn't hear us.

Chizzy leaned in, a conspiratorial look on her face. "I didn't want Mike to come in. He's been acting strange lately, and I didn't want him to disturb me while I'm cooking."

My eyes widened slightly, intrigued by the revelation. "What do you mean?" I asked, leaning in closer.

Chizzy glanced around the kitchen, ensuring they were alone. "Girl, I have a story to tell you," she said. "I was in the kitchen when I had a knock on the door. I went to see who it was, and it was Mike."

"Mike? What's he doing here?" I asked.

Chizzy leaned in. "I opened the door for him, and he just walked in. He was acting strange, and I was impatient to know what he was looking for."

I raised an eyebrow. "Strange? What do you mean?"

Chizzy continued, "He walked straight to our room. I followed him, and when we got to the room, he pushed me onto the bed."

I gasped. "What? Why did he do that?"

Chizzy shrugged. "I don't know, but I'm still trying to figure it out."
