[Talisman crafter: Peak apprentice (+0.2 exp, 350.25/500)]
Qin Hua gained 0.2 exp from the 4 fireball talismans that he had successfully crafted, and 0 exp from the failed fireball talisman.
From the looks of it, only successful crafts would provide Qin Hua with exp, and unsuccessful crafts would not provide Qin Hua with any exp.
In this session of talisman crafting, Qin Hua managed to successfully craft 5 fireball talismans, thus managing to gain a total of 0.25 exp.
"Now, before I can start another session of talisman crafting, I'm going to have to rest until I managed to fully recover my mind and spiritual soul, and that should take about 6 hours."
"Well, since it has been an hour, it's time I go and check on the ginseng chicken soup."
After storing the successful crafted fireball talismans into one of the storage cabinets, Qin Hua left the talisman crafting room and went to the kitchen to check on the ginseng chicken soup.
…
"Hmm, tastes good… But it needs a bit more salt and pepper…"
Qin Hua began adding a bit more salt and pepper into the soup after tasting a sip of the soup.
After Qin Hua was done, he decided to head over to Qin Family's library to borrow a few books.
From Qin Hua's house to the library, it would merely take Qin Hua 10 minutes to reach the library by foot.
And while Qin Hua was walking toward the library, he began muttering to himself in his own mind.
"I must say, as expected of a 100-year-old-ginseng that costs 1 lower-quality energy stone. Just a sip of the ginseng chicken soup and I can already feel slightly energized."
"I reckon that if I drank a bowl of the ginseng chicken soup, I will be able to recover all of the energy that I used up during the talisman crafting session."
"I guess this is why people say that resources are basically the most important factor to cultivating."
"If I have enough energy stones, I could spend the energy stones on buying 100-year-old-ginsengs every day, and on buying medicinal pills that could help speed up the recovery of my mind and spiritual soul."
"That way, I would be able to shorten the time needed to obtain 150 exp for my talisman crafting from 250 days into less than 150 days."
"However, the problem of not having enough energy stones will be solved once I managed to break through and become an official talisman crafter."
"After all, once I managed to break through and become an official talisman crafter, that is when I will be able to start earning good money."
"And when that time comes, with my identity as an official talisman crafter, and a good stream of income that I will be able to have, I should be able to attract some female cultivators who possess middle to peak-quality spiritual roots and make them become interested in becoming my partner…"
…
Not long after Qin Hua had left his house, Qin Hua arrived at Qin Family's library.
Entering the library, although it was evident that Qin Family's library was miniscule when compared to Bright Moon Sect's library, the collection of Qin Family's library was more than enough for a cultivator that was in the energy refining realm.
From cultivation techniques, martial skills, to professions' guidebooks, all of them were available for viewing within Qin Family's library.
Of course, common books that could be found easily in the cultivation world, books that were related to energy refining realm, and books that were related to professions' beginner and apprentice levels…
All of them were free for Qin Family's member to view and borrow.
However, for rare books, books that were related to foundation establishment realm and higher, and books that were related to rank 1 or higher of any certain profession…
They were only available for viewing by either paying an amount of energy stone, or by completing missions that were given out by Qin Family.
Since Qin Hua was clear on what books he came to the library to borrow, it didn't take him too long to find the books that he wanted to borrow.
After signing his name at the checkout booth, Qin Hua successfully borrowed 3 books from the library, and all 3 of the books were books that were pertaining to talisman crafting.
And the main reason that Qin Hua borrowed those books was because he wanted to test if he would be able to obtain experience points from reading books that pertained to talisman crafting.
…
Arriving back home, only 30 minutes had passed since he left the house to head to the library.
After opening the bedroom door and checking to make sure that Qin Yueyue was sleeping soundly, Qin Hua brought the books that he had just borrowed from the library with him and head straight toward the kitchen.
Sitting down at the kitchen table, Qin Hua opened one of the books and began to read it.
Just like this, time quickly passed by, and from time to time, Qin Hua would pause his reading to go and check on the ginseng chicken soup, making sure that the ginseng chicken soup was fine.
Time passed by quickly when one was immersed in doing a certain thing, and in no time, 4 hours had passed since Qin Hua had started cooking the ginseng chicken soup.
Upon hearing the timer that he had set beforehand rang out, Qin Hua stood up from the kitchen table, then walked over to the pot of ginseng chicken soup and turned off the fire.
After giving one last taste and confirming that the ginseng chicken soup tasted delicious, Qin Hua began plating the ginseng chicken soup.
And once he was done plating the ginseng chicken soup onto the kitchen table, Qin Hua headed toward the bedroom to wake up Qin Yueyue.
Upon arriving at the bedroom, Qin Hua walked over to the bedside, then squatted down and looked at Qin Yueyue's asleep face.
Seeing how cute Qin Yueyue looked when she was asleep, Qin Hua couldn't help but poke his finger onto Qin Yueyue's cheek as he called out to her.
"Qin Yueyue, it's time to wake up, breakfast's ready."
