Chapter 3 - Chef's Divine Farm

After consuming a bowl of broth, his status went from poisoned, to sick. A nice 10 hour sleep was enough to fix him.

He woke up in the middle of the night and looked around in the darkness, his eyes seemingly already adjusted. Right beside him, was his sister who was sleeping calmly.

Once Lukas read through the skills, he couldn't help but chuckle softly. Memories of him sweet talking the villagers to earn some sympathy and help came into mind.

Shaking his head, he stood up and walked out. High up in the sky, were two large moons and one was slightly smaller than the other. He looked up at the stars for a few minutes before looking away.

"So many stars… back on earth, I could only see a few." he muttered as he sat down on a log nearby.

His hand slowly moved to his ankle and he felt two small clots of blood, the place where he was bitten by a snake two days ago. He had sucked some poison with his mouth and had spit it out but some still remained.

"He also hid the fact that he was poisoned from Nina… well, based on the new memories, she probably would have taken some extreme measures to save him." he said softly as he looked up at the sky again, "Wherever you are, I thank you for this new life that you've given me."

Then, he hesitated for a few seconds before he continued, "And… even though she might not actually be the same Nina I once knew, I'm still grateful to see her alive."

Haaaaa….. he exhaled and stood up before he hurried back inside and went straight to the large aluminium trunk that his father had left for him before leaving. Making sure that he didn't make too much of a noise, he opened it slowly and looked around.

A little while later, he walked out of his hut with an old book and a small oil lamp that he had lit up inside. Using the little bit of light coming from the small flame, he began to read through the book.

Everything was hand written, which slowed down the reading speed as Lukas wasn't used to it. But as time passed, his speed improved and he began to turn the pages faster.

'If I follow the instructions in this book, I should be able to get to three mana cores... and the prerequisites to even attempt for the first one is having 10 points in perception. Additionally, having 10 in vitality and durability will help even further but perception is a must. Hehe…'

Chuckling lightly, he activated Divine Farm. He expected to be tossed into a world made just for him, but what he saw was a little underwhelming. A screen appeared in front of him and on it, was a 2D farming simulator.

There was a single plot of land and it didn't work the way it did in real life. It worked exactly like a game, allowing him to plant a specific number of crops.

"Give me information about this skill. In detail."

Ding!

He heard a noise and then, words and numbers appeared on screen.

Mana Density: FFF

Crops Per Plot: 8 Plants/1 Tree

Total Plots: 1

Empty Plots: 1

Note: To plant crops, you will have to use a seed, root, etc from the outside world or replant them if you already have some in here.

"Cool…." he muttered as he walked into his hut and grabbed two potatoes, cut them up into eight equal chunks, four each and with a single thought, they were gone.

He saw the cut up potatoes on the screen and using his thoughts, he directed them to be planted. Once that was done he went back to bed, only to miss the feeling of having a blanket to cover himself up.

On the screen, he saw a timer floating above his plot that said; 06:59:03.

Nina woke up early and saw her brother sleeping like a log, his hands and legs in a weird position as he hugged his pillow instead of using it to support his head.

She placed her hand on his forehead and nodded to herself before walking out the hut.

"He's sick, so today I'll take care of the farm." she said decisively as she headed towards their small farmland.

Lukas woke up after an hour and stretched before checking his Divine Farm. The potatoes were ready and he immediately clicked on the harvest button.

[48 FFF Rank Raw Potatoes have been moved to the Farm Inventory.]

"These have ranks too?" he muttered as he turned to look at the potatoes in his hut which had no ranks. It just said "Raw Potatoes" and nothing else.

"Interesting…" he said as he walked out and plucked out a leaf from a row of plants beside his hut.

After staring at it for a few seconds, he put it in his mouth and began to chew. As he did that, he sneaked up to his neighbour's house which was almost five times the size of his hut. Around the wall, there was a long row of chilli plants that had long red and green chillies ready to be harvested.

Swiftly, he plucked a few and rushed back home
