Becky POV
I had picked a dark room. I sharpened my vision so I could see everywhere…
The room was messy. I sighed in frustration. If not for my wolf saying we should pick this room, I located the switch and cleaned the room. Now that the light was on, I could see how big and majestic the room was and the big vanity mirror, despite the heap of clothes on the floor making me swear at the person who lived here previously.
After 30 minutes I was done and felt so exhausted, and there were still two hours until the time the voice said, so I decided to rest for a little.
I closed the door and undressed myself. There was a wardrobe; I changed into something simple.
I hoped I could nap.
but I couldn't sleep.
Not because the room was uncomfortable. It was too comfortable. The bed was soft, the walls warm, and the air faintly scented like crushed pine and smoke. Nothing about it made sense.
Places built for comfort were never meant for people like me.
