"Kenneth, move," I whispered.
"No," he murmured back, shoulders tense, his body stood protectively in front of me. "Whoever he is, he's not getting to you."
If only he knew that was my biological dad, the
Man who made me half blood.
Master Felix didn't blink or move. He just looked at us. I couldn't even breathe, it seemed my dad was in a bad mood.
His presence alone felt like a silent storm, one that didn't need thunder or lightning to destroy anything in its path.
His eyes, golden and sharp, settled on me like I was about to be dragged out by him and I feared my mom coming out to the sight of this.
"It's been a long time," he said as he coughed, clearing his thought.
I tried my best not to look in his eyes because I felt guilty. I had promised to return and even took the position of the lady beside him but had denied him access to his daughter.
My throat clenched. "Not long enough, father?"
"Father?" Kenneth asked as his eyes widened in shock.
