Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Teachings

No further words were needed.

Those eyes themselves were the best answer to all of Kakashi's questions.

After such a bloody night, the birth of such eyes seemed only too reasonable.

Kakashi's lips moved slightly, but ultimately, no words came out.

Sasuke caught the fleeting pity in Kakashi's eye and inwardly sneered.

In truth, his Sharingan had awakened during those days of life-and-death struggle in the Soul Society.

It was just that Kakashi didn't know about these experiences, and Sasuke couldn't be bothered to explain.

Misunderstanding was sometimes the best disguise.

He deactivated his Sharingan, as if the previous moment had never happened, and asked indifferently, "The test is over, right? Can we start training now?"

But the shock on Kakashi's face still hadn't faded for a long time, 'Three-tomoe Sharingan...'

'A seven-year-old child not only awakened the Sharingan but directly reached its mature, complete form.'

What did this mean?

Kakashi's mind involuntarily conjured the image of another figure… the genius hailed as once in a century for the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Itachi.

He remembered clearly that Itachi awakened his Sharingan at eight and only evolved it to the three-tomoe state after several years of training.

But the Sasuke before him was only seven years old...

In this aspect, he had even surpassed Itachi back then.

'Even more astonishing than Itachi...' Kakashi thought to himself, his gaze towards Sasuke growing increasingly complex.

He took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the shock inside, and got straight to the point.

"Sasuke, your talent is among the best I've ever seen, even surpassing your brother's. And you have these eyes."

He pointed to his own left eye, "Theoretically, like me, you can quickly see through and copy most Ninjutsu. Your learning efficiency far exceeds that of ordinary people."

He changed his tone, his voice turning serious.

"But, you have a fatal weakness."

Kakashi pointed out the core issue, "Your Chakra Control is truly terrible."

Hearing this, Sasuke frowned slightly. A trace of confusion flashed in his cold eyes.

"Poor Chakra Control?" he repeated the words in a low voice, his tone clearly puzzled.

In his view, power was power.

'Whether Reiatsu or Chakra, wasn't stronger always better? What was this about control?'

"Exactly, terrible." Kakashi saw Sasuke's dismissiveness and decided to give him a more intuitive example.

"I can sense the amount of Chakra within you is enormous, even several times mine. That's also one of your talents."

"But…"

Kakashi paused, holding up a finger, "For example, if normally releasing one Great Fireball Technique requires ten units of Chakra."

"Then with my control, I might only need eight units, or even less, to achieve the same effect. The saved Chakra allows me to sustain combat for a longer time."

He looked at Sasuke, his eyes turning serious.

"But that 'Great Fireball' you just used probably consumed no less than twenty units of Chakra, yet its power wasn't even equivalent to one unit. Do you understand what that means?"

Kakashi spread his hands, "Having vast Chakra but being unable to use it effectively will get you killed in a real battle."

Sasuke fell silent.

Kakashi's words were harsh, but he couldn't refute them.

He recalled his days in the Soul Society. His Reaitsu had indeed grown rapidly, but in fights against those experienced seated officers, he was always the first to exhaust himself.

Those Captain-level Shinigami's application of Reiatsu was truly exquisite, far beyond his own. Whether converting it into sword pressure or integrating it into Kido, there was not a bit of waste.

'That guy Ikkaku had even mocked me for it, saying my Reiatsu was like a leaky sack.'

'So, was this the problem?'

'It seemed that whether it was Chakra or Reiatsu, the control of power was ultimately universal.'

"Annoying."

Having figured this out, even though he was inwardly affected, Sasuke's words remained sharp, "Get to the point. What exactly do you want to do?"

Seeing Sasuke finally react, the corner of Kakashi's mouth curled up slightly under his mask.

'Goal achieved.'

"Good, it seems you understand." He clapped his hands, returning to his relaxed demeanor.

"Then, our first training exercise today is…"

He pulled a kunai from his pocket, walked over to a tall tree, then lifted his foot and, without any hand support, walked step by step perpendicularly up the trunk.

Kakashi hung upside down from a sturdy branch, smiling as he waved the kunai at Sasuke below, then made a mark on the tree.

"Control your Chakra. Practice tree climbing."

Sasuke looked at Kakashi hanging upside down from the tree, a trace of disdain flashing in his eyes.

"Tree climbing? This is what you call training?"

"Don't underestimate it." Kakashi laughed, "If you can't even do this well, then forget about any subsequent training."

Sasuke snorted coldly but didn't refute. The three tomoe slowly reappeared in his eyes.

Watching the thin layer of Chakra on Kakashi's soles, he began to ponder.

'Attach Chakra to the soles of the feet to counteract gravity... This is quite similar to the technique Shinigami use to stand in the air, except we use Reishi.'

Believing the principles were interconnected, Sasuke directly mobilized Chakra to gather at his soles and stomped fiercely onto the tree trunk.

Bang!

With a dull sound, he directly crushed a large piece of bark, sending wood chips flying.

'Failed?'

Sasuke frowned, then immediately realized the problem.

'Reiatsu is pure force, focusing on release and explosion. Chakra, however, seemed to emphasize shape stability.'

'Mold the Chakra into a shape similar to a suction cup, stably adhering to the object's surface...'

Grasping this key point, the three tomoe in Sasuke's eyes spun rapidly. The flow of chakra on Kakashi's soles was analyzed in his vision.

Then, after failing only once, he was already walking as if on flat ground, easily reaching the line Kakashi had marked.

Kakashi watched this scene, a flicker of admiration in his eye.

Sasuke didn't stop. He directly jumped down from the tree, his figure flickering as he arrived at the small river beside the training ground.

He glanced at the calm water surface, again gathered Chakra at his soles, and took a step out.

Ripples spread across the water. His foot landed steadily on the surface.

Immediately after, he began running on the water, faster and faster, eventually turning into a black afterimage.

Having completed this, Sasuke's figure flashed back in front of Kakashi.

He looked up, his tone carrying some impatience, "These boring tricks are over. Now, can we get to the main point?"

"..."

Kakashi was momentarily speechless.

He sighed helplessly, "Alright, since you've perfectly mastered Chakra application, let's begin real Ninjutsu training."

Kakashi took a few steps back, creating distance, his expression turning serious.

"Watch closely, Sasuke. Your Chakra Natures are Fire, Lightning and Wind. We'll start with Fire Release."

"This is a C-Rank Ninjutsu, Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!"

Kakashi used his twenty-plus years of single hands' speed to quickly form hand seals.

Whoosh…!

Kakashi spat out several fireballs the size of basketballs from his mouth, accurately hitting training posts in different distant locations.

As soon as he finished, he looked at Sasuke, ready to explain.

However, all he saw were Sasuke's Sharingan slowly rotating.

The next second, Sasuke moved.

He raised his hands, perfectly replicating all the hand seal gestures Kakashi had just made.

"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!"

Several fireballs erupted from Sasuke's mouth. Although there were still some flaws, both in power and form, they were already almost identical to Kakashi's demonstration.

Kakashi looked at the scene before him, somewhat dumbfounded, and couldn't help but raise a hand to his forehead.

"Alas, in the past, I was the one using this eye to copy others' Ninjutsu and give them headaches."

"Sigh… teaching a genius is also very hard work."
