Elite Four
There is no Elite Four in the Ibérica region. Instead, Ibérica has a tournament called El Coronamiento Real, where the player faces other qualifying trainers and then two of the Gym Leaders in the semi-finals where is a Double Pokemon Battle, and finals where is a Triple Pokemon Battle; before ultimately challenging the Champion in the final match where the Monarch of Ibérica challenges to prove worthy of the control in an intense war match of Quadruple Pokemon Battle with a total of 16 Pokemon.
👑 El Coronamiento Real — The Royal Coronation Tournament
The traditional Pokémon League is replaced in Ibérica by an elite battle tournament, drawing inspiration from medieval jousts, modern sports finals, and court politics. Victory here is not just about skill—it's about proving you deserve to lead.
🏆 Tournament Structure Overview
⚔️ 1. Preliminaries
Standard Battles vs elite qualifying trainers.
Format: Single Battles (6v6)
Goal: Win your bracket and rise to the top 4.
🎭 2. Semi-Finals – The Gym Leaders Return
You now face off against two of the eight Gym Leaders, hand-selected to test your versatility.
Battle Format:
→ Double Battle (2v2 at once)
→ Each Gym Leader uses a full team of 6 Pokémon
Mechanics: Weather strategies, terrain tactics, coordinated combos
⚔️ 3. Final Match – The Final Gatekeeper
The last challenge before the crown: another Gym Leader, selected based on your battling style, steps in as the final "gate."
Battle Format:
→ Triple Pokémon Battle (3 Pokémon on the field)
→ Team of 9 Pokémon total
Mechanics: Multi-type synergy, move targeting, spatial strategies
👑 4. The Coronation — Optional Monarch Challenge
Once the Champion title is claimed, tradition allows the Monarch of Ibérica to challenge the winner in a final rite of passage:
A full-scale war battle for the right to shape the region's future.
❝ Victory in battle does not crown you — recognition from the throne does. ❞
⚔️ The Monarch's Trial — "El Desafío Real"
Battle Format:
→ Quadruple Pokémon Battle(4 Pokémon on the field at once)
→ Full team of 16 Pokémon
→ Conducted as 4 sequential Quad Battles (4v4 x 4)
→ No healing allowed between matches; only held items carry over
Mechanics Involved:
Strategic Pokémon cycling
Move coordination across types & generations
Reserve unit planning (what order to send which 4 Pokémon)
Optional Participation:
This challenge is a choice, not a requirement.
The player may decline, remain Champion, and retain honor.
But accepting and winning? That makes you Champion by Sovereign Right—a symbolic ruler of Ibérica.
🎖️ Title Implications
Result - Title Earned - Recognition
Champion - Champion of Ibérica - Recognized region-wide as strongest
Champion + Monarch Win - El Soberano (The Sovereign) - Legend status
Environment:
The battlefield is staged in La Arena del Sol, a massive royal arena resembling a sun-shaped bullfighting coliseum, where banners wave, crowds chant, and golden statues of past champions line the walls.

How the Galar League Works
1. Champion Cup:
After collecting all eight Gym Badges, trainers participate in the Champion Cup.
2. Tournament Format:
Unlike a traditional Elite Four, there is no set order of trainers.
Players compete against other qualifying trainers in a bracket-style tournament.
To advance, players must win their matches.
3. Final Rounds:
The final three opponents are Gym Leaders who are also competing for the title of Champion.
4. The Champion:
After defeating the Gym Leaders in the final rounds, the player earns the right to face the Galar Champion, Leon, for the final match.
